I didn't have the same experience that others have had regarding Laura's professionalism. I took a shirt to Laura to be taken in. She made comments regarding my tattoos that I felt was inappropriate. She stated that I shouldn't get anymore as it would cover my skin. I believe that commenting on someones body is inappropriate especially in this line of work. I felt judged and unwelcome.

Very friendly and great service at a good price.Lauras' took off 4 inches on both sides of two of my sweaters.I can't tell where they sewed at all! Looks like it just came from the store and they did get them done very fast.Unlike other places, Laura's prices are very affordable, especially since they put so much work and expertise in their work.I highly recommend this business! They do all kinds of clothing as well: Adults, Children, Wedding dresses , pants and so much more

I had a wonderful experience here. I needed my late-arriving wedding dress hemmed quickly, and she was able to do it in a week flat. Delightful lady, very helpful, and made it a very homey, comfortable experience. She surprised me with a lower-than-estimated bill, and has been in the business for... what did she say, 35 years? This is her lifelong passion and she's obviously very talented.

This place is an answer to a prayer. Since my stroke and my mother's passing, I have been having a real hard time trying to find someone to do quality alterations, especially hemming. My French mother spoiled me with her expertise and the few places that I've gone to, always near to where I was working at the time, just didn't get it. But then one day I passed Laura's Alterations and boy am I glad I tried them. Moreen, the proprietress, knows her stuff. I've gotten quality workmanship, the shop is clean, and they complete the job on time! I even learned about something new, the NY hem for jeans. And to think they were just around the corner all along. Thank you, Moreen.
