I took my bridesmaid dress to this location to be altered because it was entirely too long in the front. She made me pick up my dress the day of the wedding which wasn’t a huge deal except for the fact that when I put my dress on it was NEVER ALTERED! I was practically falling over my dress all night. This was money wasted. I will never be back.

Don't ever take anything to her!!!! I brought a suit pants to be shortened about an inch. When I picked them up I noticed a 2-3 inch seam at bottom of pants. All she did was tuck the pants under and made a 2-3 inch seam. Looked like #&%@!!! She has no qualification to call her self a tailor.

Charged $48 to heim kitchen curtains. They were uneven. Gave me attitude and said my curtain rod must be crooked. We lined up curtains and they were off 1/2inch. She redid the curtain ends but they slope down to the rest of the curtain. She only fixed the end to match and did not redo the whole curtain. There is also a cut in the middle of my curtain. I will never return. Expensive charge for poor sewing and BIG attitude.

I called and asked if she does alterations on bridesmaid dresses. She said yes, however; when I got there she kept insisting she couldn’t do much to the dress “because of how it was made”. With it being 5 weeks until the wedding I was desparate to get something done to my dress. The only alterations she did do to my dress was each seam over the breast. When I got my dress back (which was a week and a half before the wedding) the seams she altered were completely botched. Luckily, I was able to find another alterations place that was able to fix the botched seams and alter the other parts of the dress (that this lady said could not be altered). I am really upset with my experience here and do not recommend this place.

Good work but overpriced. I was qoated $20 to take in about 1/3 of inch on one side, the left underarm of a dress, I bartered we agreed on $16 I understand we're trying to make a living but $16?

This is the small tailor shop located in lexington sc near the Ford dealership. If I could give this review no stars I would. The shop itself was disgusting, the woman running the place had an attitude from the moment I walked in, and the quality of work she did was terrible. And this wasn't only a one time event. I've been in twice, the fist to have ranks sewn to a BSA uniform, and a second for a suit and a jacket. The BSA uniform had the ranks put in the wrong places and my pockets were sewn shut. And I took the suit pants to her giving her a second chance because i had asked here to do my uniform during prom week, but the pants were uneven in the legs by an inch and the woman tried to fold one leg back and tell me they were even. She then got an attitude with me and undid the alterations she had made, and just tacked them to be the right length. I wore the pants to a wedding that weekend and they were STILL dragging the ground. The point of this review is to say that I paid for a professional tailor to alter my clothes so they would look decent, and in the end I could have done a much better job being an ameture with a little bit of time. Plus the has a 1994 best tailor in lexington sign that she either got because she was the ONLY tailor. Or because she stole it from another shop.

Excellent prices & services. Lower than any in Lexington, very nice. I read that she was rude, not so, she was direct, no small talk...I needed service she offered it and was fair...her price $15.00 and threw in a button for free! two others btwn $25. & $35. !! and within that charge the button was $10.00 !!, we need more like her!! Fair, the American way!? I give them 10 Stars..

Please note that all of the negative reviews are about her customer service. Her job is to alter your clothing...not to kiss your a$$. She is very talented and does a beautiful job.

Also, I would give the review no stars if I could. When I walked into the shop it was disgusting and smelled like a musty cigarette smoke. It looked very unorganized. Proceeded to talk to the lady and asked her if she could alter my dress for prom and said ok let me look at it. She probably looked at the dress for 30 seconds and said "nothing can be done with your dress, wont look good". She was extremely rude and I've never experienced such awful customer service. I mean if you're going to be rude and lazy, then don't run a business... If you're looking for a great alterations place, try Zebra Cleaners on Old Chapin Rd. They didnt come up with an excuse to not alter my dress and were extremely nice and friendly.

Very, very disappointed in this shop. First, I don't mind the small talk at all. English is not her first language, seems like she knows enough words to have a business conversation, so I expected it. My 1 star review comes from the finished product itself. First I paid $90 to helm 7 pairs of pants. If I had a problem with the price I would have went somewhere else or had someone's grandma do it. So that's not the issue. The issue is I have 7 different types of helms. One of the helms is obviously loose and I have to find a way to tighten them. The others have different lengths in the length. I have a pair for when i want bell bottoms, I have a pair to wear when perfect, I also have a pair for when I want long pants. I mean there is no consistency to the helm. For $90 I expected more. I won't be returning, the local grandma it is.

I went to Jackie in his Chapin,SC store. He is by far the best around. He is quick - had the garment ready in a few days and he charged me less than a fraction of what Davids Bridal was going to charge me to alter my wedding dress...yes, my wedding dress! I have since gone back to him for all of my bridesmaids dress alterations, ccoats, pants and anything else! This guy is the BEST!!!
