Diana's Alterations is excellent: reasonably priced, fast service, and quality work. I've been happy with everything I've taken there. The service is far better than the other options on James Island, and even the one place I've tried downtown.

They do a great job. I had a suit that needed a press and I needed it by noon the following day. It was ready for me on time and looked fantastic. I called them today with a last minute sew request, again on a time frame, and she told me to bring it in and she'll be happy to take care of it. The location is also fantastic.

I had a dress taken in at the bust. I will definitely be going back! It was very inexpensive ($18) and the two women in the shop are friendly without making a fuss. Turn around was quick- just a few days, and the quality of work was great. Cash or check payment only.

I paid $80 to have a sleeveless v-neck dress taken in and she butchered it. She obviously only took in the dress from one side so I have one normal sized triangle of fabric covering one breast and about half of the normal sized triangle covering the other. I put it back on to show her what she did and she insisted that's how it fit me in the initial fitting. Beyond frustrating experience and she ruined the dress. Go somewhere else. Her incompetence is not worth the risk.

I see why some reviewers perceive Diana as being "rude" but I think she's simply straightforward, and I really appreciated the honesty. I enjoyed working with her! I took a skirt that needed alterations to The Silver Thimble and after a long series of negative experiences, I decided to give Diana's a try. She was able to complete the job perfectly in half the time and less than half the price they were offering at The Silver Thimble. I am so happy with the results and I've had nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. HIGHLY recommend her to all my friends and fellow dancers. Diana's Alterations is wonderful!
