A.MAZING! I needed to my clothing unhemmed and to add length in straps. I decided after reading other reviews on this place, I would give it a shot. I was taken back a little because I wasn't sure about the apartment building, but when Ani (the owner) opened the door....it was better than any place I've ever been for alterations. She is so wonderful and full of life and love. I brought my daughter with me and immediately Ani started welcoming my girl with cookies and grandmother love. She had my alterations done so quick!! I only met her this once but her first impressions on me will have me coming back for all my business.

I had a zipper busted on one side of my jacket. I was hoping that she could just repair the one side of the zipper. She told me that it is not possible but leave it with her. One week later, she called and told me it was ready. I returned to the place and was surprised to find that the jacket zippers looked exactly the same. I thought she couldn't repair it but she just replaced the entire setup with new zippers that was exactly the same style and size. I also gave her another jacket with leather problems. Lots of courtesy and attention to detail that is just not seen today in this world. She gets all of my business.

Ani is super friendly and very knowledgeable and skilled. I had a long-coat of a very unique design which hung too large on me. She tailored it to my specific dimensions, rebuilt the sleeves, and did it all within a tight time frame to meet my date. I now have a one of a kind coat which really provides the look I wanted. There are some things you can do yourself and there are some things for which you must hire a professional! I will return to Natalie's Tailor Shop for all my future fitting needs.

My 6 year old had a rip in his snow jacket and we took his jacket here. It was late at night and we really needed it done and she was just going to do it for free! I was amazed. We tried giving her money and she wouldn’t take it. ...nicest person in Salem no doubt! Please support this business. I only knew of the one by Fred Meyers and they were going to charge an arm and a leg and it was going to take two weeks! This lady had it done in 2 minutes!!! Seriously I am tearing up. You will not be disappointed!!! Support her!

Ani is WONDERFUL (Natalie is the name of the shop, but the owner/operator is Ani). My daughter and I came in on very short notice for dress alterations and she completed it within just an hour or so. I was amazed and it came out more beautiful than we imagined. She's incredibly talented and so kind. Now that we've found her, I won't go anywhere else. I've read some peoples' reviews that say she's rude and I have to say that those people are wrong. She's from Israel and there's a bit of a language barrier so some things get lost in translation. She's very straightforward and I have to say that every single one of her recommendations was correct and I'm so glad we listened to her. Also, if you listen to her you'll find she's not just straightforward, she's also VERY funny, kind, and generous.

I called Natalie from the coast needing my dressed hemmed that day for a wedding and she just told me “don’t worry, I will wait for you.” After the drive in she was able to make adjustments in a half hour and it only took her 4 hours to get it done with all of her other work. She did a wonderful job, the thread color matches exactly and I never would have known that someone else made adjustments if I hadn’t seen it myself. I highly recommend her, she is very pleasant and extremely accommodating.

I give Natalie 1 star because she charged me $30 dollars & said it was at a discounted price according to her to tailor my husbands pant and when we got it and took it home is was nothing from what she had measured, I texted her and sent her a picture, she didn’t apologize and just bragged that nobody could beat her work. So unprofessional & didn’t refund us anything. We usually tend to support local businesses we understand people make mistakes which is understandable but this lady needs an attitude adjustment, I would save my money and go somewhere else if I were you. I don’t recommend this place.

Most of the time she is same day service. I had her repair a pair of slacks, take out a vest and jacket and they were all done the same day and look amazing. And I got Armenian lentol soup to take home too!

The absolute, most amazing service i've ever had. The sweetest woman i have ever gotten a service from. She is like that one woman in a sad movie that takes in the lead character at their lowest, and gives them the most inspiring sage advice, before sending them off with a cup of soup. On top of that, she is a legendary seamstress. Did a perfect job on my wife's dress, with very short notice. Definitely coming back for all of my tailoring needs. Absolutely amazing.

TL;DR - 5 stars for friendliness, quick work, and reasonable rates. However, I don't have much experience having clothing altered, so take my comments with a grain of salt. ____________________ Ani is a sweet woman who's been doing this work for over 40 years. I wanted to have a ready-to-wear/off-the-rack suit jacket's sleeves and pants shortened and needed them back within a week. She works out of her apartment and was finished within 2 days, and updated me via text message when the work was actually done. $25 for the sleeves (taken up from hem) + $15 for the pants = $40 total (according to blog posts I've read, these prices seem average). PAYMENT: (prefers) cash in advance - I had time so I ran to the bank and was back within 10 minutes, but when I initially offered to run to the bank right then, she told me "only if you have time" and seemed flexible. LOCATION NOTE: at time of review, pin dropped on Google Maps was wrong (showed old location in Keizer), BUT the address listed on 25th St is correct.

This woman is not rude. She is direct, there's a difference. She is Armenian and so there are cultural differences that you could take offense at if you choose to. I tried my dress on and she suggested it was the perfect length and really didn't need hemming. She said if I really wanted her to hem it of course she would. I ended up agreeing with her and didn't have it hemmed. She invited my husband and I to stay for Turkish coffee and we chatted for nearly an hour. She was a tailor for the American embassy. A delightful, funny, witty, smart woman. I wouldn't hesitate to bring her any alteration job I might need done. We went in as potential clients and parted as friends.
