I just called to ask how much a pant hem runs. The man was very hard to understand and had a hard time answering the question for me. I have never been told it depends on the fabric type. He couldn't give a straight forward answer and sounded very hesitant and bothered by my call.

Shame on me for not trusting the reviews. The language barrier is not the problem though it is difficult to communicate. I took three shirts to be altered. One shirt needed the sleeves shortened and that was it. Well that's all he did. Forget that longsleeve shirts need to be tapered towards the wrist and just cut it off and sew, it that's what I paid $15 for. My other two shirts were too long so I needed them shortened. Once again he just cut them off and sewed them. Now instead of fitted shirts they are just short wide shirts each costing me $15 apiece. Then try and have a conversation with him about these things and you'll waste your time because he seems to not understand at that point.

I called and asked if there was anyway that they could fit me in and get a basic hem in a week and the person that answered the phone started talking really fast (none of which I could understand) and hung up on me. A simple clearly spoken we don't have time to fit you in would have done just fine!

I had a difficult alteration request and they nailed it... THE SAME DAY! There is a small language barrier which is the main reason behind the negative reviews below. So just go there, you will not be disappointed. I had baggy suite pants altered to be a tapered slim fit and hemmed. Not easy to do and they turned out perfect! I will go here for all future alterations. Highly recommend!

The tailor in this shop is excellent. I have brought multiple clothing items to Evan. He has tapered and hemmed slacks. He has repaired tears in my husbands wool shirt. He recently hemmed a vintage suede coat which my sister wore in the 70s. The suede back then was quite substantial. Now my 20 something daughter has been able to use the coat I would not let the language barrier deter you in any way from seeking tailoring services. Evan is customer oriented and gracious. Tailoring cost here are very reasonable

After reading reviews I was kinda nervous, even more so after calling because I couldn't understand him, however; despite the language barrier this gentlemen knows what he is doing. I was in town on business and he told me to come on down to the shop to show him what I was describing. He is very polite in person and professional, he fit me in during a last min walk in 10mins later my alterations were done. Been in business 40+years and its very easy to see why. I threw in a tip the clothes were so well done. I should mention my clothes are custom suits/slacks so him having them worked on is very nerve wrecking but he performed such a great job it really shows his skill set and level of expertise. Not to mention on top of all this his prices have to be some of the lowest I've seen. Just a great experience overall. I would definitely recommend his services.

I would not recommend this place. I brought in a dress to take in and he refused to do anything. Cannot call yourself a tailor if all you do is simple hems and refuse to do even simple alterations to clothing.
