I was at the store when said customer said owner was rude. He was trying his best to help. I have been taking my clothes to be altered here for several years, even when they were located in Bryant Square. I have never had better service. They always do a GREAT job for a very fair price. 5 STARS!!!!

Great service!! Husband has an interview Monday and needs to have his new suit jackets sleeves altered. At first it was gonna take a week but when he realized what it was for he said he could have one done by today. Well not only did he have one ready he had both jackets ready! They did a great job. Will definitely be using them again!!

I had an event to go to on Saturday and my dress caught a snag Friday night when doing last minute turn-on. I brought it in Saturday morning and they were able to fix it same day and reinforced the seams to prevent further issues. I am very grateful and impressed by their work. If I could give this place lower than one star I would. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I brought my wedding dress in for alterations and the man was extremely rude. I was beyond uncomfortable. I didn’t let it get far enough for them to actually work on my dress because I had to leave due to the terrible service. I’ve never even wrote a review before (good or bad) because I’m not usually that type, but this place changed that. Terrible!

I dropped by the other day to have sleeves hemmed and the guy at the front desk not only was extremely rude and hateful but he couldn’t speak English well and barked at me. I wasn’t comfortable doing business with someone so unprofessional so I left taking my items to another place. On this thread I noticed numerous people having the same experience and him replying to them in a rude hateful way which is a great clue as to what kind of person this is. Take your business to a place that will treat you politely.

If you want your clothes tailored right, the first time, Edmond Alterations is the place. I see a lot of poor ratings regarding his service based on the way he talks to customers. I go there because his work is the best I have ever had. I don’t go there for conversation, obviously English is not his native language. He wastes no time. I am in and out in minutes, and my suits are always finished ahead of schedule. They are perfect every time, and the quality of his stitching is unmatched. I have taken my suits to many other places out of convenience of location, and each time I have had to bring them back to Edmond Alterations to have them fixed. From that perspective, I am not concerned that I have found cheaper places because I end up paying double by the time I have Edmond Alterations fix other tailor’s sloppy work. I have used Edmond Alterations at least a dozen times over the past two years. This is the only place I will take my suits and shirts.

They did a wonderful job letting out the sleeves of my coat. Being a stickler for accuracy pays off for them, one sleeves was shorter than the other, and I had no idea until he measured it. He fixed it perfectly and it finally fits.

My mother and I did NOT have a good experience at this place. I took in two items to be hemmed and my mom brought in a lace dress and he refused to do her dress and when we took it another place it was no problem at all for them to fix it. We felt rushed and he kept aggressively talking me and being demanding. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome and I will never be using this place ever again. I would rather drive to my normal tailoring shop in Norman than ever go back here. And way over charged. :)

Horrible service. I went in to get a button sewn back onto a blazer, get jacket sleeves shortened and some jeans hemmed. He told me the jacket sleeves would be $38 (way above normal) and when I asked the price again he grabbed all my stuff and pushed it back towards me and threw the button back toward me on the counter. He then turned around and walked off without saying anything. I assumed that meant he didn't want the business. There was a bit of a language barrier but I was nothing but respectful and was just inquiring about prices. I'd say go elsewhere for any tailoring needs whether simple or complex. I hate to have to leave this review for a local business but if there was a 0 star I'd say they qualify. Also, for context, I went to another local tailor shop (Alterations by Sarah on May) and he did my sleeves for $20, jeans for $10 and even fixed my blazer button for free in 5 minutes.

Update replying to owner: I took this dress to Ophelia’s alterations. The woman there was very nice and and said there was no problem fixing my dress... which would only not zip up in the chest half an inch.

I love the work. I brought my 3 new pairs of suit pants their to get them sized and cuffed, and instead of just giving me the one size fits all, they custom fit each pair. Then when I forgot to pick them up on today, (Saturday) can you believe it, they came back after closing so that I can have them for tomorrow. Wow. Very very good experience!!!

I take my clothes there for repairs especially pants. They do a great job fixing everything and save me a lot of money by extending the life of my clothes. There is a bit of a language barrier but I never had a problem and the owner always has my clothes ready on time and actually ahead of time.

Can't believe this guy! He's so rude and disrespectful. I wanted 2 jeans tailored to my size and told me he couldn't do it. Then he told me to put them on and he was asking me for the length for how short I wanted them even though I told him several times I didn't want them like that. He then got frustrated with me again so I just left.

I consider myself a patient person, but the level of rude in this establishment was incredible. Very much a language barrier, but the owner's attitude was the real problem. He just seemed angry for no reason, and offered no solutions for tailoring two coats (only after having me stand in front of the fitting mirror, grumbling at me the whole time.) Terrible experience.

I’ve been coming here for 10 plus years and he has always gone above and beyond! Today, I came in last minute and needed my skirt altered. I asked him to have it done by Friday (3 days from the day I came in) and he had it done THE SAME day within hours! Not to mention it fit perfectly. Bad customer service. Extremely rude. As I was placing my things on the counter, I turned my phone screen off and tried to put it on the counter with my wallet and keys, he very aggressively told me not to touch my phone. Then he cut me off as I described what I needed and told me what would happen and how much it would cost without consulting me about my needs. It was very hard to understand what he was saying which would not have been a problem had he not been so rude. I told him thank you and that I would decide later, which at that point up I had decided he was not getting my service. He angrily asked me why I didn't like the price, and scoffed when I said thank you again and left.

I have been looking for a long time for an alterations shop/tailor that can meet my needs for uniform alterations that look sharp and don’t unravel easily. This is now my go to for alterations! Excellent customer service, very friendly! Work is fast and professional and prices are very fair

I needed measurements to get fitted for a suit, and the store that I was at did not have an in house tailor. I then went to this shop because it was close by. I assumed since I planned to use his services once I bought a suit, he would be happy to help me figure out the basic measurements I needed to purchase a suit. However, he rudely told me to go get a suit before setting foot in his shop. I cannot attest to the quality of the tailoring, but I can say that the man at the desk was not eager to help me. I took my business to another tailoring shop that was quite happy to measure me, and were very polite. Also, I think that the replies that the owner has said to some of these reviews are just pathetic, calling people human trash and claiming that he has them on CCTV and is reporting their license number to the police for leaving a bad review.

When I dropped my pants off to be fixed, the gentleman at the front acted as if I were an inconvenience. I told him that I didn’t need the pants until the following week, but he insisted that they would be ready the next day. He called the next day and left a message that I couldn’t understand (because of his heavy accent), saying my pants were ready. I was not planning on picking them up, but I was afraid that he would get rid of them if I didn’t pick them up quickly, due to his overall tone in the message. I rushed after work to pick them up and their door was locked with no note in the door or explanation as to why they were not there- this is where I got frustrated. I came back the following day on my lunch break, and again he was very short with me. I asked why they had closed early. He laughed and said, “oh, we had a family emergency”. Very bad customer service and their prices are terribly expensive. I don’t recommend this place.

Edmond Alterations is a very high level tailor. I only trust my Armani and Oxford suits with him. He may be difficult to understand sometimes which can impact your perception, but I find that his overall performance and service is superior. If he tells you it will be done by a certain date, it is done and usually exceeding your expectations. The pricing is not low but it is fair.

Do not step foot in this establishment. I nearly left in tears after he screamed at me because he couldn't understand what I was asking about my wedding dress. I understand there may be a language barrier but his vicious demeanor is inexcusable, I'm also pretty sure that most of these 5 star reviews popping up are fake. My son needed suit pants altered last minute because he was leaving for Spain in 3 days. We knew there was no way we’d get them back in 3 days but I was going to send them to him when they were done in a week. I let Edmond Alterations know that my son would not be with me to try them on when I pick them up and I would just send him his pants because he’s leaving. So 2 days later they called to let me know his pants were ready for pick up!!! They wanted him to have them before he left so we didn’t have to go through the hassle of sending them and pay more money. They went above and beyond and the pants were perfect!

I love love love this place! I would not be going anywhere else with my clothes. They were super friendly, super fast. We all know when we are crunching for time and need some of the clothing fixed fast. Edmond Alterations will do that, they always get things done on time if not faster. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE - this guy is a joke. He barely speaks English and YELLS at people. He scoffs at you when you don't understand him, as if YOU are stupid. He was RUDE at drop off, and RUDE at pick up. He caused damage to the tie strings on our dress and when I inquired about it, he told me to burn it with a lighter! Then, when I complained that HE should fix them (because they weren't frayed when we dropped it off, we inspected it prior) he said he would for $5!! I asked how he would fix (i.e. with a lighter?? Lol or correctly by sewing with thread?) and he would not answer me. He pretended not to know the words "sew" and "thread." Finally after 5 minutes, and having to communicate in hand motions, I was fed up. There was not a chance in hell that I was leaving my $500 dress with this man for another second. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ALTERATIONS HERE. I drove to Alterations by Sarah, (where I normally do business) and they fixed the frayed ties of the dress for FREE while we waited, in about 2 minutes. ONLY GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH THE UPMOST DISRESPECT AND DISREGARD!!! If I could give him negative stars... I would. Just Drive the extra 5 or 6 miles and go somewhere else.

I had a dress altered once at a different place and was not happy at all. I've brought four pairs of jeans here and could not be happier! It's been a few months since I was last in, but he still remembered me! He's always been friendly to myself and my boyfriend who has been in with me a couple of times. It doesn't take very long at all for him to pin my jeans, and every time I get them back they are perfect! He's definitely got an eye for thread color! The best part is, I usually take them in on a Saturday and by the next Thursday he's calling to let me know they are done! Can't really beat $11 for good quality work and the right length jeans!

I do not know how I would get along without Edmond Alterations. I am short and every item of my clothing has to be altered. Yesterday I took 4 pair of pants in. I am leaving town day after tomorrow and asked if he could do one pair for me by end of day tomorrow and then I would pick the rest of them up next week. He called yesterday to say they were ready. ALL of them were ready. 3 had details at the hem that required extra work. I offered today to pay him extra for the rush order and the extra work but he declined. I have had 2 occasions when he declined to do work because it would not look or fit properly. Because I know he is a perfectionist, I took his advice. And for those of you who are critical of his fluency level, do you have a second language you speak well enough to have a successful business in the country where that is spoken ?

Went in for the first time to have my husband’s gardening pants patched - they had several small holes and one even had a couple large holes. All capable of being patched - no gaping holes missing fabric. Usually I don’t have many problems communicating when there is a language barrier. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. When I showed him the holes I needed patched, he told me I could buy new pair much cheaper too many holes. I explained my husband is picky and has to have soft clothes for outside work and these were his favorite jeans (and shorts) and that they didn’t have to be pretty, just patched up. He kept shaking his head and said no several times. I asked him how much it would be (so I could decide if the patch was worth it) and he said too much. Then he explained my husband would have to try on the pants to make sure they wouldn’t be too tight. I said that was fine I can come back, but do you have an estimate for how much? He ignored me and walked to the back and sat back in his chair. I was really hoping to find a seamstress closer to home, but it seems like he does not want to patch any clothes, so I will have to go to my usual seamstress 30 min away. To the owner who commented below: I answered your questions the best I could and asked you how much it would be to patch them. You kept saying too much. I thought it should be up to me to decide how much is too much money to pay. I understand you were trying to help me by saying I could buy a new pair for cheaper (And I appreciate your honesty), but I wouldn’t have brought those clothes in to be patched if I could replace them easily. I don’t appreciate you calling me a liar when I reviewed your business truthfully and relayed what I experienced. We both said thank you to each other before I left out of respect for each other’s time. That does not mean you answered all my questions. I suggest you work on your customer service based on all the comments you leave on here.

HORRIBLE service. I brought in pants because they were too long and brought another pair with me so he can match the length of the pair that fit me. He wouldn't even let me explain what I wanted and aggressively made me try on the pants. He was so rude when I was trying to explain again what I wanted. I have been getting absolutely all of my alterations and my family's done at Edmond Alterations for 11 years at least, and it amazes me how this talented, hard working gentleman and his wife have maintained their clientele spite their struggles with English as a second language. (English is My 2nd language as well). I was so blessed when I brought my work to Edmond Alterations because it reminded me of my mom, who was a fantastic seamstress, and her work was irreproachable and professional ! He has a way to understanding what your needs are, his prices are competitive, not cheap, because of what you get is a professionally well done job, he has the clothes ready when he promises to have it ready, I have become a friend, I was honored to help him With his application for Pike Pass years ago and also I was blessed to be a witness for his son's wedding!!! I have been using Edmond Alterations for at least 10 years. They recently relocated to 15th and Broadway after being at Bryant Square for many years. The owners are hard workers and do very good work at fair prices. They always finish my alterations before the scheduled day and the owner will call my cell phone to let me know it is ready to pick up anytime. I have never had to bring anything back to them they did not do correctly. Also, they are open on Saturday which is necessary for me since I work Mon-Friday.They give me a good discount on my alterations because I have been going to them for so long. If you want quality work done quickly at a fair price. This is a good place to go.

A certain lady who brought in her wedding dress doesn't know what she's talking about. This guy has been around for a long time and he knows what he is talking about and is kind and courteous to everyone. If he thinks that one of the alterations you are requesting won't work for the dress or for your body type, he will say so. That's what professionals do. I took two dresses in to get hemmed and he is going to have them ready within the week. If you have a problem with your service, talk to the provider itself instead of going online and pouting.

...wow...this guy actually argued my shirts didn't need the buttons repaired as I requested...and rather rude about it...so...took the twelve shirts and four pairs of pants elsewhere to have buttons repaired and pants altered...I'd say about $100.00 worth of work...alrerations business in Edmond must be booming to be able to afford to run off customers like that...I suggest saving yourself the time and start somewhere else when in need of alterations
