Mr. Whittman was an extreme help to me! I had to get costume measurements done for an opera in Toledo, and he agreed to do them for me. No one else in the area was willing or able to do it and John came in clutch! I know where I’ll be taking items for tailoring from now on!! I’d give 6 stars, if that was an option!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start by saying that I am not a suit guy.... I'm a shorts T shirts blue jeans kind of guy. Recently my son was getting married and I tasked John Whitman with making me feel comfortable in a suit.... While not nearly as comfortable a shorts and T-shirt :), over all it was a pretty exceptional experience... I would certainly recommend them and if heaven forbid I need another suit I would go back again

I called Whittmann Tailoring to asked if they tailored Indian clothing. The man that answered the phone said no and the reason being that tailoring Indian clothing is non-profitable and that the people that do it are generally those who don't know any better than to work from their basements for 52 cents an hour. I told him that this was an untrue statement, said thank you very much and hung up. I will not be keeping this place in mind for any future tailoring as I felt his comment was unnecessary and offensive. :(

The owner, John, is a kind, beautifully attired multi-generation tailor. John & his staff altered 5 pairs of trousers for my husband. They shortened & brought in the legs of all pairs. They look excellent & the stitching is wow - I've no doubt it will last the life of the trousers.

I'm done with the Men's Warehouse/Joseph A. Bank/Macy's/Von Maur suits that I've bought in the past. John Wittman and staff do a remarkable job. The quality of the suits are far superior to the chain stores mentioned above, and you have more choice in what you want. I commissioned John to create a tuxedo for me, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The fit is perfect, and the quality is outstanding. I have also had 5 suits altered here. I don't know why I thought that using a tailor was out of budget. You can't beat the quality for price. SHOP LOCAL! I could go on.. so I will. I was looking for a specific style of shirt. Tom Ford had was I was looking for... for $990. Ermenegildo Zegna also had the shirt I wanted... for $495. John custom build the same shirt (arguable much better) for MUCH less... This hit the price point and budget. Want the designer look without the crazy designer prices? Make sure Wittman Custom Tailoring is on your list!

John Wittmann has been my tailor for about 7 years. All of my custom made suits, sport coats, top coats, and dress shirts are from Wittmann. He has a wide selection of fabrics and cuts, ranging from traditional to modern. The custom suits and shirts are made in the USA. The prices are more reasonable than you might suspect. John has sound advice regarding cuts and custom options most appropriate for you. If you are new to custom clothing, just give Wittmann Tailoring a try and order two suits and four shirts. Put those in your rotation and it won't take long before you want John to replace your entire wardrobe.

I came in to get a suit tailored for a few interviews. The owner, John, was very easy to work with and completed the job in a very timely fashion. I was very pleased with the job. Most recently, I visited to get the hem replaced on a pair of pants (work completed somewhere else). I was in a hurry to get the work done and he completed it on the spot, for free. I will get all of my tailoring done here in the future.

Quality is the best. Locally owned for years which is a plus. I was expecting my alteration for my bridesmaids (David's bridal ling) dress to take about a month and be around $70. It was a surprise that it was finished in a week and only $54 dollars! If I ever need to alter something again or if someone asks me for a recommendation, this will be the place to go to!
