I had a pair of jeans hemmed for a family member who lives in grand forks and is unable to pick the jeans up on his own. I tried numerous times to pick the jeans up on his behalf when I visited him over a period of months and found Pins & Needles closed each time I was in town (which included weekdays). Finally in desperation I called and basically begged for some sort of solution so I could get the jeans. I found the owner to be curt and inflexible in trying to find a workable solution. If you are looking for customer service I would suggest passing on Pins & Needles.

I'm currently getting a dressed altered here at the moment. When we brought the dress I felt very welcomed and comfortable. She also has reasonable prices for her work. I prefer going here over the tailoring shop on base. I've seen some people mad that she declined their last minute requests. I wish they would realize that she is a working lady, just like all of us. She isn't there to abide to just your will. She has other customer's outfits that she has to get done, so when you go there demanding she gets a large project done in a short notice, you should be expecting a no. She's taking the professional way out. Better work comes with time, not by rushing a project. She doesn't want her work to just be decent, she wants it to be magnificent, so hence the reason she would say no. I decorate and sell cakes, and once a friend asked if I would be able to do a 3 tiered cake, complete with alice in wonderland decorations, a cake that would take me at least a week, with a 2 days notice. They weren't really understanding of why I wouldn't be able to make it, but that's business. I didn't want to rush it and risk it coming out horrible. Anywho, I would definitely recommend her, she is wonderful at what she does.

Always my first place to go for any alterations. I trust her everytime with my most prized suits. Dont be in a rush. The owner has a set timeline and always sticks to it. Workmanship of this quality is tough to find.

The work was very good. The fit was perfect after the alterations. I had one pair of pants taken in and another hemmed. I called to request a rush on pair if possible, and she ended up finishing both pairs more than a week before I needed them. Fast, quality and a very nice lady! I will definitely be going back.

I have been to Pins & needles for both alterations a repairs. She was prompt and friendly. Her Prices are reasonable and her work is done when she says it will be. When doping off clothing she makes sure she asks exactly what you want. When fitting clothes she took plenty of time to let me decide if it fit the way I wanted. She is very professional and hard working.

My boyfriend and I stopped in to find out if a hoodie would be easy/cheap enough to repair vs. buying a new one. As soon as we walked in the door, the tailor was ready and attentive to our questions. At first, she quoted the price of replacing the whole zipper - but her queue was booked a week in advance, and we thought we'd come back after some shopping. Then, with a little spark of serendipity, she found the broken tooth near the top where the zipper pull came off. She took it to the back and replaced it in less than two minutes and didn't charge a cent!

Needed a pair of suit pants last minute hemmed and called on a Wednesday with my situation, she told me if I could get them there within a half hour she could help me out, once I was there I had brought the jacket too and had her take a look to see if everything was proper fit,(this was ordered based off my basic sizing) we decided the sleeves were maybe a tad long and she told me if she had time she'd do the sleeves as well. Received a call Thursday afternoon that both the pants and jacket were done. She went above and beyond to save the day for me. I don't suggest asking last minute as they do seem busy especially early summer during wedding season, but she really came through, did a great job on my suit and price was very reasonable especially considering she finished in less than 24 hours. Amazing service. Would recommend to anyone.

I had to get my bridesmaid dress tailored and I was going to be close to the date, but the lady got it done well ahead of the deadline so I got my dress perfectly done and fitting and no stress! The tailoring was absolutely flawless and she's very professional and kind. Definitely recommended.

I think the people that responded negatively were upset by her being upfront about the timetable. She will tell you right away if it will be a wait before she can get to your item in case you are in a time crunch to get it back. I liked that. The service was always friendly and courteous and the price was reasonable. Would use this business again!
