It wasn't horrible, but I probably won't go back. On my first visit, I wore form-fitting work-out clothes for 2 reasons: #1 because I was getting ready to go work-out after and #2 because I figured it would be easier to just put on the suits I needed altering on over top my clothes instead of having to get all the way dressed and undressed for the 2 suits I needed her to see on me so she could fix them. They were 2 skirt suits. My body is a bit disproportionate -- I am bottom heavy so I needed the jacket taken in at the bust and the skirt let out around my thighs only so they wouldn't ride up while I was walking.
As I was leaving, she asked me if I was forgetting my jacket, and all 3 ladies present cackled like I was under-dressed. I had not, in fact, been wearing a jacket when I walked in -- only work-out clothes. I felt like they were judging my choice of clothing esp in relation to my body type. Not ok. This is the wrong business to be in if you have a problem with what people wear and the body types that wear them. People like me are the reason clothes need to be tailored anyway. Do not alienate us.
She tailored my suits in the time she said she would, but when I went to pick them up, the only noticeable difference I can tell is that one of my jackets have shorter sleeves now. Both skirts still ride up and are tight around the same area they were when I came in. They look absolutely no different. As for the jacket, the one with the alright-to-begin-with sleeves had a way-too-big-for-me bust -- it looks slightly smaller but it's still ill-fitting and wrinkles because my bust does not fill it out.
I paid $76 for clothes that don't fit me much better than they did when I dropped them off. I could have worn them as is and no one but me could tell a difference.
