This week, I was provided with excellent service at Precise Alterations, and I truly appreciate it. As a single parent, I can tell you that the prospect of having to spend hundreds of dollars, according to estimates I'd received elsewhere, was a dim one. Thankfully, I decided to opt for one more professional opinion before having my suit altered. Yong discovered that the real problem was due to a manufactures defect in the lining of the coat and was able to replace it. Absolutely amazing seamstress. She hemmed quite a few inches off my wedding dress but the best part was she made the cap sleeves removable for me so I could have them on during the ceremony and off for the reception. All of this at a very reasonable price and she had everything done in a timely manner. Yong is so sweet and caring and you can tell she cares about her work. I am so happy she was able to make the sleeves removable for me and I know it was a very meticulous job as she had to attach all the individual beads before removing the sleeve. She also did my bridesmaids dress for another wedding and pulled up the straps for me so they didn't fall off. Again, a very affordable price and in a very quick and timely manner. I highly recommend her.

This seamstress Over Promises and Under delivers. I had a terrible experience. I was told my work would be done in 2 weeks. 4 weeks later when questioned, she said that they would be done the next day at 10AM. I went to her shop and no one answered. I left and then she called. I went back and she gave me half of my order.(She had been there the whole time, behind a locked door- She got caught lying). After another 3 weeks, I went over and demanded my remaining garments-she never finished them. She is a lier. She hides behind her foreign language, but she understands fully, that she can't fulfill her orders, rather than just be honest about completion dates. Avoid doing business with this unprofessional seamstress! Don't be Fooled by the nice website. Go elsewhere if you need your garments in a timely fashion.

Thank you for all the hard work you put in making my tuxedo fit. I was given a hand me down tuxedo that I wanted to wear to a special occasion. I couldn’t afford buying a new one and I didn’t want to rent one. Yong has been doing my families alterations for years so when I asked her if she could make my tuxedo fit, she said sure. She made it fit just like it was made for me I am so happy that it worked out and that she saved me lots of money. She is the nicest person I know!

I recently purchased two new suites that needed to be altered so I could take them on a business trip. My trip was in Chicago and I needed both suites fully altered and back to me in two days. I went to a couple of alterations shops in the area but no one would do for me in two days plus the work was too complicated for them. Both jackets needed the shoulders and sides taken in plus the sleeves shortened. Both pants needed the waist taken in hemmed and cuffed. One of my business associates mentioned Precise Alterations and told me to try them. I called and Yong (the seamstress) said she could have both suites finished by the time I needed them. I was pleasantly surprised when she called me the next day and said both suites could be picked up. When I tried them on I could not believe how perfect both suites fit. Yong did a fabulous job and her price was very reasonable. I have become a regular customer and highly recommend her services to anybody looking for a seamstress

Absolutely AMAZING work! I had an incredibly complicated wedding dress alteration, it had a bust that was way too large and the back wouldn't zip up. It was completely covered with an intricate lace overlay, and somehow she was able to fix it perfectly without any signs of alteration! I had a December Wedding and needed to find a qualified seamstress to alter my wedding dress. I went to Google and searched for alterations and seamstresses in the lake Norman area and found Precise Alterations. Based on the amount of overall positive reviews on the type of work they do I took my dress to them. My biggest concern was having a girdle sewn into the dress so it would fit me better. They knew exactly what to do, they took in the sides and upper bust line then sewed the girdle into the dress. They also added a bustle and hemmed the length. When I tried the dress on I literally cried because I had no idea it would turn out so perfect. The dress was completed on time and they didn’t over charged me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a highly qualified and skilled seamstress.

I would like to acknowledge the job that Precise Alterations did on my daughters bridesmaid dress. My daughter found herself in a dilemma when her bridesmaid dress arrived and she was unable to fit into it because of the weight she gained from of her pregnancy. The wedding was in May and we only had three weeks to come up with a solution. Someone at our church said we should call Precise Alterations because they had completely resized a formal dress for them last year. We went to the shop with the dress so they could see what our dilemma was, Yong immediately knew what to do she told us to order the fabric from the dress manufacture so she could make a maternity dress to fit me. After the work was done, we couldn’t believe how well it fit and looked. Yongs attention to detail and craftsmanship is purely astonishing. Simply the best formal wear seamstress in the area. Very dissapointed. I found precise alterations online, read the reviews, went and had a consultation she was very nice. The second meeting we had was to pin my dress so she could alter it. She was argumentative with what we wanted her to do. But she pined it how we wanted and at that point I was happy. She said she would be done in 2 weeks. Well 2 weeks came and she kept calling saying prom is in, my wedding dress had to wait. She needed an extra day. The extra day came she said she needed more buttons, to give her another day.one week later, I walked into the shop with my dress still being worked on. I was discussed when it was not what I wanted. On my wedding day it drug all night, people stepped on it, I tripped over the left side Bc it wasn't the same length around, and the bussles fell off Bc she didn't do them right. I learned my lesson. Please be careful. I will never use precise alterations again or recommend her or her company.

I had a New Year's Eve emergency and Yung saved me! I purchased a fully sequined black Jovani cocktail dress with chiffon overlay for New Year's 2010 and ended up going to Key West where I did not need something so extravagant. I took the dress out to wear this New Year's Eve 2 days before I was to leave for Scottsdale, AZ and discovered that it was now too big! I found Precise Alterations online, read the reviews, and decided to give it a shot. I took my dress to Yung and she was able to take it in for me in 24-hours! This was a difficult dress to alter considering how it was made, however, Yung was still very reasonably priced and did not charge me a rush fee (which she easily could have). The dress fit me perfect for New Year's! I can't thank Yung enough. I highly recommend her talents as a seamstress, and I will definitely use her again!

UPDATE**Wow that is the biggest lie I have ever heard in my life. She never offered us to come and try on the dress beforehand, She came in her white Mercedes SUV and delivered this dress to us the evening of prom! Save your money and bring your dress to an honest seamstress**This is the worst service I have ever received. I was promised that my daughters prom dress would be done 3 different days and times then she finally delivered it late after my daughter was already supposed to leave for prom and it didn’t even fit correctly to boot! I would give this place no stars if I could. Save your hard earned money and go someplace more reputable.

My husband and I were a part of a family member's wedding a couple of weekends ago. With Yong's help, our time at the wedding could not have been more perfect. I ordered my bridesmaid dress from the wedding shop that was preferred by the bride. The dress arrived within a few weeks before the wedding, but was the wrong size. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to return and get the right size. I found Yong on google and called to ask if I could have the dress altered in time for the wedding. I was able to come in for a fitting with my dress and Yong was able to let out the dress in time to wear it for the wedding. The dress fit perfectly! It looked as if I had it custom made for me! My husband had his tuxedo top altered by Yong as well because his sleeves were a tad bit too long and the sides needed to altered. Yong was able to alter my husband's tuxedo top and it looked so good! We are so glad that we found Yong for our alteration services. We will definitely go back!

Two years ago my brother got married Precise Alterations altered his tuxedo. I just returned from a fabulous honeymoon, the wedding was great because Precise Alterations prepared my gown. The gown had lace all over and a very long train. The bust line needed to be takin plus the waist and hip. This gown had no beads but tons of lace. She made 17 bustles for the long train in the back, lifted up the lace each layer put the buttons and loops. The loops where special, she had to order from wedding supplier. She lifted the lace and put each button all the way around underneath the lace. After she closed everything with loops, nothing was showing from the outside just the lace hanging. It looked exquisite I was so proud. At the reception my husband and I were able to dance without tripping over the train. My bridesmaids were patient with me while buttoning up the train because they knew how beautiful it would look. A couple of my bridesmaids are getting married soon and will be letting Precise Alterations alter their dresses

I was nervous about having my beaded homecoming dress altered because I needed it resized. My friend recommended me to Precise Alterations because she had a formal gown altered by them earlier this year. I was in the homecoming court so I wanted to look perfect. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! I usually never do bad reviews, this is the first review I’ve ever done. The lady here is very rude. She had my sisters prom dress for over a month and was told 2 times that it was going to be ready and it wasn’t. She told my sister that it was going to be ready two days before her prom and when I called to make sure it was going to be ready since I read other bad reviews about how the lady makes false promises she got mad at me and her first excuse was that “kids go to spring break and forget about their dresses” but my sister gave her the dress after she went on spring break, then her next excuse was that she called my sister and never got a call back but my sister and my mom called her numerous times and she never answered the phone. Her last excuse was that she had surgery and couldn’t work long hours, if that was the case she should have told us that so we could make the decision to go with someone else. The lady kept trying to talk over me and wouldn’t let me speak and then finally HUNG UP on me, she called me back to tell me that she wasn’t going to do my sisters dress anymore and that we could come pick it up and hung up on me AGAIN. When I tried calling back she ignored my phone call numerous times. She called me back telling me she was going to give the dress to some man that she knew to do her dress and when I told her I had questions about who it was she told me that she didn’t have anything to talk to me about and that I can write a bad review because she was going to write back to my review and hung up on me for a third time. I wasn’t even going to write a review but after the terrible experience and being hung up on 3 times, here we are. We decided to let her friend do the dress and when the guy got the dress he told us that the lady took the pins out of the dress and put them back in the dress in front of him. She is very rude and unprofessional, very bad customer service!! The ONLY good thing she did was giving the dress to her friend because he is amazing! Had my sisters dress done in one day and it was perfect!! The owners response below proves my point that she is VERY rude. None of that is right and we didn’t pay $150 for an alteration. Thank you for sending us to someone that can do their job!! If her response doesn’t show her character then I don’t know what will. So sad

I had a wonderful experience at Precise Alterations working with them having my wedding gown altered. I was referred to them by a local shop in Cornelius and I'm glad they did. My wedding gown needed a lot of work before I could wear it. The bodice was too big so they altered the sides and re-beaded the areas that were altered. The dress waist was too long for me so it had a lot of excess fabric hanging she eliminated the excess fabric and afterward, there were no wrinkles or puckers and was very smooth. I was so surprised she was able to do that so well. They did a beautiful job shortening the intricate lace hem. They added seven bustles so I could be comfortable during the reception and first dance. I am so pleased with the work and will recommend to anyone searching for a seamstress for that special day.

Simply the best place to get jeans hemmed!! I just picked up three pairs of jeans that Yong altered and shortened. Yong’s craftsmanship and knowledge was simply amazing. Yong didn’t just cut off the excessive denim and re-sew the length she actually removed the original hem, shortened the length then put the original hem back on. I told Yong that I had never seen anybody hem jeans like that before. She said that putting the original hem back on after she alters the length maintains the original look plus hides the fact that the jeans had been altered. Her prices are very reasonable. I know because I have been to almost every alteration shop in Lake Norman.

I will say that I'm not sure if it was because of her wreck, or that she has so many orders that she was in a time constraint a lot of the time, when working on my dress. She has a lot of business so I know she is a good seamstress. I just wish my bustle would have been a little tighter (the string was flimsy and barely looked attached to hold my train) and my hem completed a bit better. Their were loose strings and I don't think it was high enough because I kept tripping the whole night. I went a few times for fitting and by the end because of time i think final things go rushed. Overall she fit my dress well to my body.

It's not professional to call someone uneducated and ignorant because YOU couldn't get things right. You even admit that in your response. You got an infection, you got sick, you had surgery..... Just tell the girl you couldn't get it done. Not that your doctor said you worked too much. That isn't her fault. It's YOURS. Then to say you called her, and whatever else but STILL DIDN'T HAVE THE WORK DONE. That's on you. Never, ever going to recommend this place.

Simply the best for formal wear. My wife and I are attending a social event that requires us to wear formal outfits. We both purchased off the rack outfits a couple of weeks ago at a local formal wear retailer, but their alteration charges were almost as much as we paid for the outfits. My friend from school referred me to Precise Alterations because of the wonderful job they did altering her gown. My gown was too big and needed to be resized they were able to take in the sides and shorten the length. The most amazing thing they did was reattach all the beads in the same pattern as the original design. When they finished it fit and looked so good you would never know it had been altered. I attend private school and our prom is earlier than public school. I tried to order a dress but they didn’t have my size. I ordered the dress I wanted one size bigger because that was the dress I wanted to wear to my first prom. I knew I would have to alter the bust and length because I am short but I ordered anyway. When the dress arrived I went to see Precise Alterations, the seamstress fitted me and said the waist was too long that’s why waist was puckered. She pinned and took in bust and lifted the dress to eliminate the pucker and shortened hem. She did excellent job I am looking forward to going to my first prom.

Yong is extremely nice person and very enthusiastic. I ordered my wedding dress from a local wedding boutique. When it came in I found it was low cut in the front and back, and way too big. I was so disappointed until I brought my dress to Precise Alterations who told me that they could refit it, which they did. The cups were huge, because I have a small bust, the sleeves were too big, and the sides kept riding up on my hips. The skirt needed to be hemmed but was covered in very small beads. I gave them my dress in the end of April and got if back the first week of May. When we took the bridal portraits it was so comfortable and looked great in the pictures. I never thought the process would be so simple and Yong made us feel so good while we waited. We never second guessed anything she recommended because we could tell at the first fitting she was a professional and knew what she was doing. The price was phenomenal for the type of work she did, the entire experience was great. They showed they are professionals with integrity and honesty.

My best friend needed some work for her wedding dress. We googled and precise alterations reviews were good. We went in and everything was good. When we went back to see the dress it was not ready. It was contant calling that the dress was not ready. A week before the wedding she called to say it was done but when we got there it wasn't. Wow! Don't go here!! Horrible work and service!!! I am in shock she lied like she did in her response! I had to buy a NEW bridesmaid, a dress like everyone else's in the bridal party a NEW flower girl and a New suit for my sisters wedding. This is what happened and she has completely lied in her response. I paid close to $200 and then she refunded me half of my money. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I have never written a google reveiw. She told me two weeks to fix my sons suit, my daughters flower girl dress and my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding. She kept calling me saying prom was keeping her busy and she needed more time. Then she said she was not feeling well. She hurt her knee. After three times of rescheduling my pick up she told me to come get it around 12, over 2 weeks after she promised.. Then she called me and told me later, then later, then later...she finally brought it to my house @ 11pm. She refunded some of my money but it did not change the fact that It was horrible. Messy and obviously done quickly and so sloppy. I had to take my dress and my daughters dress into another alterations place who said it was the worst work they had ever seen. Luckily they were able to fix it. Unlimited Dry Cleaning saved me and please save yourself and do not go here!! Then she called me after I wrote this review and offered me a full refund if I would take this review down. I really could not believe it! After I added that info she has now called me again yelling at me telling me to take down the review. She wrote her response which is a complete lie. Saying that I hate Asians is extremely offensive to me as I am a minority myself. She has once again lied and called me and threatened to take me to court. I just wrote this because I would not want anyone to go through this all!!

Yong altered my suit and fixed up a pair of pants and shorts for me. My suit fits like a glove and was worth every penny. I will go to her any time I need a tailor. The best in the area!

I went to yong to have my wedding dress bustled. She did a seven point bustle one in center and three on each side. It turned out very well allowing me the opportunity to dance in my gown after the ceremony. Thanks you very much I highly recommend.
