I hired Glenwood South Tailors to make me a custom tailored tuxedo for my wedding that was last week. I live in Charlotte and it was definitely worth the trip. The customer service as well as the personalized touch on every single piece of my tuxedo was definitely the best I’ve experience in a long time. My first few visits was in Raleigh, NC to begin the process but the best thing was my final tuxedo was hand delivered directly to my house in Charlotte. The staff during the entire processs was very nice and was available to talk and answer all of my questions. They even gave me recommendations on what would mesh well with the type of tuxedo I wanted. The final product was amazing to say the least and I was extremely satisfied and everyone wanted to know where I got my tuxedo at my wedding. I would definitely hire again in the future for any custom tailoring. Best experience ever!

I received my dress about 9 weeks before the wedding and it was huge and a whole lot of dress. After being turned down by multiple places I was referred to them! The picture I shared is from my best friend's wedding, which I nicknamed "the potato sack from Hell," that Brian so skillfully transformed into an extremely flattering garment. I also want to acknowledge Natalie, who was instrumental in reducing my bridal gown two sizes to make it the perfect fit for me! As a bride, I understand the love a woman has for her gown, and Natalie's talent and perfectionist nature came through for the win. Final shout out to Amy because I just love her! Brian's business is the best, and I'm going to tell you exactly why.. :) They accommodate me with complete respect to my schedule, and they meet my needs in a timely fashion. I get texts and emails confirming appointments, which I super appreciate. With each series of appointments, I meet with the same team member(s) so my experience is always consistent, and the work is carried out with the utmost quality. The services are priced very fairly. Custom suits are their specialty, so for some garments, such as my bridal gown, the services are priced a bit under market. Make no mistake, the work is not cheap. I've entrusted them with about $2500 worth of garments since meeting them in July, and they've done outstanding work. The atmosphere is fun-loving, good energy, and the people treat you like family. I highly recommend Glenwood South Tailors and Alterations!

Brian is fantastic. I am totally lost when it comes to clothing, but he sat down with me and went through everything. I ended up overhauling my entire work wardrobe, and everything that he helped me pick out looks just amazing. I took my Army uniform here to have my name tapes and rank sewn on. Although they had never done one before, it turned out great! I had them take the Velcro off of the tape, rank and top and sew them back in place. It looks very crisp. It was more expensive then I would have paid to have it done at Bragg, but it also saved me a trip down there so I guess it evened out. Will recommend to my Army friends in the area for their alterations in the future.

Such amazing service!! I have gone in here twice , one for my measurements and one to get my wedding dress taken in. Both times they gave me amazing customer service. They really helped me out by taking in my dress for me last minute, which was a week before I was flying back home for my wedding. Located in a quaint upstairs multi-shop building, Brian, Amy and Sarah went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and did a fantastic job altering my bridesmaid's dress that needed to be hemmed and taken in at the straps, bust, and waist. Not only that, but it took less than a week! They also have a free delivery service - can't get better than that

Would give 6 stars if possible. This is a great business. The service is impeccable, and the quality of their work is not found at any other alteration place I've been to, and I've been to a number. I think of Brian as more of my style consultant, and he's revamped a number of my suits which turned them from "back of closet" to "top of the rotation" options. Recommend making an appointment as they are always busy! Next on my list is to try their bespoke/custom suits, and dress shirts.

I just moved to Raleigh in July and needed to find a new tailor. After asking around, 2 people strongly recommended Brian. I got my custom-made bridesmaid dress altered here about 2.5 weeks before the wedding. I was super nervous about it... I was cutting it close, and it was a custom dress. But I just picked it up yesterday and it was absolutely PERFECT. Ready on time, on the day that we agreed on, and nothing needed to be fixed. Every other tailor had said it couldn't be fixed without damaging the dress... but not the man at Glenwood! As someone who lives almost three hours away (one-way) from Glenwood South Tailors, I was really hoping that they would live up to their reviews… they certainly did not disappoint. My fiancée and I met with Brian who was nothing short of incredible. We are young professionals and were in much need of guidance in terms of suiting and menswear. From the very beginning of the appointment, he put us at ease; we were offered drinks and he listened to our objectives for our visit. He was so patient with me and answered all of my questions (trust me, I had a lot of them). Brian took the time to educate us (almost 2.5 hours to be exact) on the different shoes, shirts, and suiting styles for my fiancée’s profession. He even had a co-worker take notes of everything he taught us so I could focus on the visuals! Talk about an excellent and THOROUGH customer experience! As if all of this wasn’t enough, we had a suit that needed to be tailored with a VERY short turn-around time (two days). Did they make it happen? Absolutely. When we were done with the appointment all we could do at dinner was talk about the amazing service and professionalism of Brian and Glenwood South Tailors. I'd recommend this tailor shop for minor alterations only. Some concerns: They require payment in full, upfront (I'll never agree to these terms again with any service provider, period!). The sewing quality is inconsistent. Major work will deliver an unpredictable result. The final check of the finished product is rushed: they're not looking for anything that might require additional adjustments. Also, I chose this place based on the online reviews: so, so many perfect reviews in contrast to other area tailors. My experience didn't reflect the experience of all these other people; makes me wonder a bit in retrospect. They communicate well: in person and by text. Their personal service is excellent. Brian, I know you'll respond to this as you had to another recent, less-than-perfect review. In my humble opinion, an honest review is helpful not only to the potential customer, but to the business owner as well.
