This is the place to go for tailoring in Durham. They do a great job ask all of the right questions including things I wouldn't even think of. Just great work in general. Small shop which is nothing fancy but you go here for the quality of the work. It is nice to see a business take such pride in its work.

Got a bridesmaid’s dress altered here a few years ago. They made fun of my body within my hearing which pretty much seems like the worst thing a tailor could do. Would never recommend anyone go here

I’ve wasted time and money trying to find a tailor around Raleigh and Durham. No tailor could make suits off the rack fit me the way I wanted. Dyers has tailored 3 suits for me perfectly, even after other places told me that one or more of those suits was not my size or could not be altered to fit me in the way I was asking. In addition to craftsmanship and quality the service was great! Anyone out there shopping for a tailor for your off the rack suits make sure you try this place.

Went in to see if they could fold a suit for me to put in my suitcase. Owner went above and beyond by showing me how to fold them, putting my suit in my suitcase, then carrying my suitcase to my truck for me. My suit is perfectly folded and ready for the trip to my brother's wedding. The environment within the shop is superb as well. The owner praised a co worker for folding my shirt so well. Next time I need a tailor, this place is getting my business.

They made some great alterations to an inexpensive suit that I bought that made the suit look a lot nicer quality than it actually was! Also, advised me of how to make a better decision for suit purchase in the future. Was a bit pricey for the alterations but in my previous experience you get what you pay for, so well worth the price.

I will take all of my alterations to Dyers from now on. I visited Dyer's last week in a state of desperation. A bridesmaid dress I needed for the weekend would no longer zip. I needed the dress in three days, and the first tailor I visited told me she could not help me. Even though there was little fabric to work with, and Mr. Dyer had a boatload of alterations to do ahead of mine, he took pity on me. He completed the job one day early - and surprisingly - was able to find enough seams to let out the dress so it fit! I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't tried this place. Mr. Dyer is kind and professional. I tried to offer him more money because of how he helped me, but he would not accept it. I would recommend this business to anyone.

I can't begin to express my gratitude to Dyer's Custom Tailoring in helping me out in a pinch. They assisted me with a misaligned, broken zipper on my Mother of the Bride dress 2 hours before the wedding. They were professional, courteous and determined to rectify the situation. Not only did they fix the zipper, they pinned me in the dress in case there were further problems. You couldn't even tell where they pinned me in! I left the shop in my wedding attire, knowing I could make it down the aisle with confidence and feeling marvelous! Thank you, thank you!

I know others said good things, but my experience was awful. I gave them 2 suits a month away from a wedding I needed them for, and they never finished them. I went in 3 weeks after drop off, and they were still sitting untouched. I emphasized I truly needed them by a certain date, and I was repeatedly assured they would be done, but when the date came they were not. Additionally, the man who I dropped them off with was very rude, and treated me with little to no respect. When I presented an older suit which had become a bit tight, his comment was that I should just lose weight. I was willing to let any rudeness slide in the hopes the reviews were right and they would do a good job. But they haven't done any job. In short, a month after drop off, I have no suit for a wedding, I am down a bunch of money (they're expensive too), and was both lied to and insulted.
