Absolutely stellar work!! I just had my wedding dress altered here and I'm so happy that I did! (When I say altered, I mean he pretty much made me a new dress lol) I bought an A-line, floor length sleeveless dress that was 4 sizes too big because it was a great deal and it had the capability to be what I wanted. He altered it to my size, removed the restrictive boning, cut it to tea length for me, reset the zipper perfectly and added flutter sleeves as well...all for a reasonable price. When I came in yesterday to pick it up (less than 2 weeks after I dropped it off, I might add), I brought my shoes so that I could try on everything together. My shoes are the kind that you tie together into cute little bows and the ribbons that they came with were not the right color. The owner made me new ribbons out of the material he had cut off the bottom and now my shoes match the dress perfectly!! I seriously can't say enough about this place. Anytime that I am in need of alterations for anything going forward, I will definitely come here! :)

Brought in a woolen coat to have fitted and pants to take in. They were both fairly complicated jobs because of the material and the cut. The prices here are outrageous. I didn't realize how expensive it would be until after I had been fitted. I decided not to get alterations done here since they cost more than the dress cost. I was charged $25 for the fitting which he did not mention upfront. He also took out the pins from the fitting which is what I had just paid for. There are plenty of great tailors that have reasonable prices. Don't go here. I went to two other shops that quoted for half the price. Save your money and look for another shop to do your alterations.

Needed some dress pants brought in and turn around time was only a week. Later needed 3 shirts brought in and sleeves shortened and all was done in just a week. They are very willing to make adjustments if you are not satisfied with the work. I was asked many times if I was satisfied with the fit! And of course, I was; would definitely recommend!

I have used A to Z twice now. I highly recommend them for Quality Alterations at a fair price. This last opportunity, I had received a nice wool dress overcoat. It fit well - but the sleeves were too long. A to Z altered expertly - looks as if it was made to fit me from the start. All in less than 3 business days. I read the reviews and decided this would be the tailor to alter this mother of the bride dress. 'It really didn't need anything altered but the hem' he advised. Reda was so kind, knowledgeable and a joy to be with. The hemming of the 3 layers was completed in a week and perfect! He even 'fixed' the hook & eye and added another. Anytime there is another something to be altered I will go to A-Z Tailors.

I was looking forward to this place as it had such good reviews. I needed a bridesmaid dress fitted. The first time I came in he did recommend me to get a different size, which was nice and probably saved me money. But when he hemmed my dress, it came back too long- I asked for it to be brushing the floor and when I put it on it was still folding when hitting the floor, and clearly too long by an inch or so. No problem, I brought it back in and showed him. He refused to fix it without me paying ANOTHER $75. But this is just to finish work that wasn't finished correctly, I said. He absolutely refused to, said it'd been too long since I'd picked it up (I'd been out of town 6 weeks and my mother had picked it up), like I might have gotten shorter in the meantime or something...? And he really, really argued with me, asking whether he should trust me, saying he wouldn't do work for free (it's not free, I paid for something you didn't do right!) Etc. Now I have to pay twice for hemming (elsewhere). Pissed.

I was kind of bummed yesterday when he told me he could not have my jacket ready until Friday when I dropped it off because I planned on going out of town Thursday evening. I rearranged my schedule to accommodate as I needed this for a wedding. I received a text this morning saying my item was ready. I didn’t think it was correct so I called and he said yep it’s ready!!! He did a great job with the alterations and the fact that it was done 2 days early is the cherry on top! The bridesmaid's dress recommended by my sister's bridal stylist was no where near fitting when it arrived - and I was terrified! From the first time I stopped in the shop to get measurements done, to each time checking in for alterations and adjustments, I had an amazing experience here. The extended evening hours are great since I work a 9-5, and the work was done wonderfully, quickly, and efficiently. Even with having to add over 8 inches of fabric to a bust and hemming like a billion layers to the dress, it looked fabulous at the end, and I sincerely enjoyed working with them. I will definitely return for any future needs!

I needed an extremely complicated alternation on a dress blazer requiring that the sleeves be removed and shortened at the shoulder because they could not be altered at the wrist. And the blazer was fully lined, adding another dimension of complexity to the alteration. He removed about three inches from each sleeve, which was extremely difficult given that it could not be done at the end at the wrist. The work was professional and the quality was amazing. You would never know that this jacket has been altered and looks exactly like it was originally made this way. I cannot overstate how happy I am with the quality of this work and would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone Additionally, I would not hesitate to take all my alteration needs to this business. It's increasingly hard to find pants that fit just right. I recently brought a pair of nice, expensive dress slacks to A-Z tailor. The pants were overall too baggy. Reda was efficient and professional. I asked his opinion on the length when he asked me how long I wanted them and he had good advice on what most men preferred style-wise. I just picked them up and am more than pleased. I'll be back.

Excellent work! I took a strapless bridesmaids dress in last Saturday, it was slightly too big for me to hold up... now it fits perfectly and I don't feel like its going to fall down at the top. He also fixed the stitch around the sweetheart neck so that it wouldn't fold over and show the lining - looks much better! Be sure to check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Since I cannot remember whether I dropped an initial review, I am doing this (again). The customer service here is exceptional. I went in for a minor adjustment 2years ago for a custom made outfit. It was easy to strike a conversation with everyone and make my request known. Since I was very particular about what I wanted to achieve and I know how to work a machine, I requested they let me do my adjustment myself. They obliged with no hesitation. I recognize this is an unusual request not many will grant but they did not only allow it, they had a pleasant attitude about it. I moved from WS shortly after this and I carry very fond memories of their service atmosphere with me!

I needed my bridesmaids dress altered and came here. The gentleman that helped me was amazing. The dress I ordered from a boutique in VA was not ordered correctly for the way the dress was supposed to fit and he had to completely rebuild my dress. It had to be let out then I came back to make the proper alterations to the top and hem it. They were able to do all of this in about 2 weeks and it turned out beautiful. Every intricate detail of the bodice still in tact just as it was when it came from the designer. He even calmed me down and gave me a tissue when I found out my over $200 dress was going to need to be completely rebuilt and cried in the middle of his shop! Fantastic customer service!

I have been here MANY times with anything from jeans to be hemmed to a bridesmaid dress that almost needed to be totally reconstructed. They have always made sure I was satisfied and I have never had to make a second visit for an item. I highly recommend taking your clothes here. Its hard to find pants to fit me, I'm 4' 11'' and they always help make them look better. In fact, I will be dropping off two more pair of pants next week and then another couple of pair in September.

Disappointed that I had a bad experience. I brought in four items for alteration. Three pairs of pants and a very expensive Tory Burch dress. Two out of the four will need to be corrected by another tailor. One pair of pants has two different lengths and cuff widths. The dress has a lot of extra fabric in the front and the lines in the back aren’t streamlined - it looks rippled as if someone grabbed fabric from each side and tucked it. I’m not sure if this can be fixed by someone else. It’s hard to describe without photos. Unfortunately, I’ll be looking for another tailor.

They did a FABULOUS job hemming and bustling my wedding dress! The bottom of the dress has an intricate lace pattern which I was concerned about whether or not it would still looked the same after alternations - it didn't look as though it had been touched (even though it had). A-Z Tailor and Alterations did such a fantastic job on my wedding dress! The service was impeccable and they were so easy to work with. They were able to shorten the lace sleeves of my dress and it looks like it was made that way in the first place. I traveled from Boone (1.5 hours away) to their business and will absolutely be returning because it was well worth it.

This shop does some absolutely amazing work! I took a pair of pleated suit pants that I wanted to be turned into flat front so it looked better with it’s matching athletic fit suit jacket. This is the only shop I found in the Triad that would do this for me and they did it with complete confidence. They knew after seeing me wear the pants that more work would have to be done to get the more modern look I was going for. Not only did they remove the pleats, but they tapered in the legs for a more tailored look as well as converted front pockets to be along the side seams like flat front pants typically have. All of this required some pretty extensive work on their part, but in the end it was well worth it. I honestly don’t think they could have done a better job and I told them that. Dare I say they fit perfectly? I believe so! Custom fit suit pants in a week! Again, amazing! I will definitely use this shop for any future work needed and I would recommend them to anyone. They are truly talented...

I’ve taken 2 bridesmaids dresses here to be altered. The man working there is very friendly, very kind, and has wonderful customer service. He has never tried to upsale me on an alteration that I didn’t need. In fact, when I thought I needed to get my dress taken in, he offered the idea of just putting pads in it to save me money. He is very trustworthy and has a quick turnaround time. This is now my go to place for alterations!

I left 2 skirts to be hemmed in late October. I stopped in to pick them up I n January only to discover they'd never been started. The lady assured me she'd have them ready by Tuesday. So, it's Tuesday, my skirts are not even on the premises. I was told an employee who doesn't work here will be in by 5pm, oh and since she's not an employee we don't have her phone number to call her to see if she has your skirts Very bad customer service. If you need items altered do NOT come here.

Great service and fast turn around time. I needed the unadjustable straps on my bathing suit taken in. I walked in, put the bathing suit on, got it marked where I needed it, and in about 15 minutes I was walking out with a fitted bathing suit. I will definitely be going back.
