My roommate recommended Luigi to me after having her dress hemmed. $15 to rise a low neckline on an expensive dress with hard to work with fabric. My regular tailor (aka my mom) said she couldn't do it. The work came out beautiful! Will definitely be going back. Only thing to note, he says he is up until 7 but really closes at 6PM.

The workmanship is beautiful.....he is a true tailor....a little quirky but so what. I and many of my friends have been going to Luigi for over 15 years. I cannot think of another tailor I would recommend.

They carry hard to find accessories for white tie events. Nowhere else had the pique cotton shirt or bow tie, and prices were reasonable.

I disagree with all negative reviews. I have come here many years and every alteration I had done on high fashion dresses has been of highest quality. True, the promised dates do not always work out and the opening hours can be a bit erratic-yet one can always call ahead of time-however what should matter the most here is the quality of the work and the work is unmatched. Highly recommend.

I have an new definition for incompetence and it's LUIGI. There are many tailors in NYC avoid this shop at all cost. Not only is he rude he ruined a brand new suit it's unwearable. I can't express how disappointed I was with the results. DO NOT USE LUIGI.

I've been going here for 2 years and the following has occurred: 1). 1k suit, lost. 2). deadlines always missed 3). Horrendous customer service. The work is decent and below my apartment, hence the reason I kept going back. Shame on me.

The service is awful. Stay away. I went to alter my trousers and the guy who is the owner told me was incredibly rude. He didn’t give one minute to respond to any questions about the options of alterations. I told him it’s rude and he said he doesn’t care. I live in this neighborhood and this guy is completely unprofessional

I've found them to be polite and helpful. They made accurate measurements and constructed garments well. I've bought 2 suits and 4 pairs of trousers, made to order. No complaints. One suit is 10 years old and I still get compliments on it....also they've made me velvet trousers that are superb.
