I've never met the tailor shop that is better than Ban's tailor. I enjoyed shopping tailored suit. I'm looking around all of NYC for finding a gooood place. For three months, I'm searching and asking about tailoring shop! Eventually, I met the place I'd like to meet at the Uppereast in NYC. The proficient tailor, Mr. Ban, did his best to make well-suited garment for me. So moved to his endeavor. Whoever visit this store never regret! I'm sure! Do not miss opportunity to meet your own clothes.

Best Alterations shop ever ! I'm too much concerned about clothes so I spend a lot of time on doing research before I go to shop. Ban's Tailor satisfied my needs and made me have loyalty towards this tailor shop. I've never seen they make a even single tiny mistake so far. I highly recommend this shop !!

The most accommodating and very reasonably priced. I’ve had very last second bridesmaid dresses to be hemmed and taken in for a bunch of weddings and they’ve always done an awesome job in a very timely fashion and in very short notice. I had a clasp issue and they fixed it by placing an extra clasp. I am a surgical resident and have a very tight schedule. They even stayed in the shop late when I was running late past their closing time and I called ahead. I’ve gotten very good comments as well. Very nice couple runs the place. Very friendly. Very good work. Would highly recommend over and over again.

This tailor is a class act. I've had zippers added, skirts hemmed, jeans hemmed, and the even sewed a hanging sleeve on a quilt for me. The turnaround is slow, several weeks. Prices aren't especially low. Also, if you come early, but they should be open, rap on the gate. They may actually be in there with the gate down.

I got ripped off. I went in with several pieces to get tailored, one of which was a sport coat. He fit the jacket along with the other pieces and tailored it (charged $120 for the jacket alteration). I got the various pieces back and most fit well but and when i tried on the jacket the shoulders were still way off. I went back with just this jacket to get it fixed. He looked at the shoulders and made some measurements to take them in (indicating an obvious fix was in order) and told me that to fix the shoulders on the same jacket it would be an additional $120. When i pointed out to him that the shoulders should have been fixed when he fit me the first time and expected him to fix, he refused to fix without an additional $120 payment. Taking my business elsewhere from now on and will recommend the same to anyone else in the area.

Mr. Ban was quite professional alterations, and he had my three pairs of jeans done by noon the following day, having dropped off right around closing time. Very good work, and expedient, although, I fear if many more of you find out about him, it may take longer! I highly recommend him, even if it means my own garments will take longer. Give him your business.

BEST TAILOR EVER! I was getting dressed on New Year's Eve and my zipper broke. It was 7:15 and I was leaving for a party at 8:15. I called several places and only Ban answered his phone. I told him I really needed help so he told me to come down and he would take a look. He was schedule to close at 8. I ran down there and he completely fixed/changed my zipper on the spot. I tried to pay and he told me to go enjoy my night. He was such a nice person and made my night. I am going back there any time I need an alteration. He is professional, quick and does a flawless job. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND BAN'S CUSTOM TAILOR TO EVERYONE!

I had a work Gala and needed alterations done on a dress. Providing ample notice of needing the dress by 8/5 ready to go. Had a work emergency and came in 8/6 with pins being inside. I said excuse me and they never apologized for not calling me, in fact they recommended I come the next morning. I put it plain and simple and relayed that was not going to happen. Turns out he could do it in 20 minutes. Get out my check to pay and he said cash only and I’m like nope last week we said check and he said no because he thought I was going to cancel it. I said okay great instead of being paid $130 I’ll pay $100 cash because you missed the deadline and this is not okay. This was not cheap, sure it looks great, but if you don’t have the decency to call me and inform me of a missed deadline, then consider this my last time. Also, the way they handled the situation demonstrated they didn’t care about my time of retaining me as a customer.
