I've worked almost exclusively with Brian who is beyond friendly and has extraordinary knowledge of men's suits and style. What's critical is that Brian asks you questions about your style and makes recommendations based on your personal tastes. The greatest comfort I have is knowing that someone with experience and knowledge is providing thoughtful recommendations on how to alter my suits.

My experience was excellent. I brought them a tuxedo jacket that did not fit well at all and in about 20 minutes they pinned the jacket and took the necessary measurements. In less than 2 weeks I had the jacket back and it fit perfectly. Great customer service throughout.

I also came out educated - I wanted to learn more about how a suit should look and fit, and they were happy to take the time to explain this in detail. The team at Peter Field are absolute legends when it comes to tailoring. I've never had a tailor that I've trusted as much as Brian and team. My first experience here was fantastic that nearly every time I come back in, I bring another piece in for some tailoring love. Let's talk about the experience. Shoot them an email, give them a call, make an appointment. When you arrive, you are treated to one on one service with Brian. You will immediately feel at home and comfortable in the space as you get your suit, pants, t-shirts, anything really, fitted perfectly. Once done you'll pay and I tell you the work is worth every penny. I had a suit that was impossibly large on me. Took it here and it's a brand new suit. They'll also prioritize your work if you need something sooner (for a little extra per piece). Peter Field has become my only choice for tailoring. I'll even shoot them photos of suits I'm thinking about buying to get their advice on whether it's worth the price and the work to adjust it. Incredible!

I'm a custom clothier and I had sent my clients here and their Chicago store for alterations over the last year or so. Since they started their own custom clothing line, they've been emailing my clients with their own offers. That is totally unethical. If you're a custom clothier, please beware.

I needed to get my trouser for the suit altered. Hugo Boss store staff projected at least 2-3 weeks for the task. I didn't had that much time and thus went to Peter Field. Nicholas was the staff who attended me. He is a nice person and explains you the relevance of what needs to be done and why it needs to be done. Very friendly environment as well. The job was completed well within time and the appointment setting was flexible. I had to travel all the way from Norwalk to City on weekdays but I was able to make it up for an appointment. The result was as expected. Nice job done. :)

Brian is very knowledgeable when it comes to altering men's wear- especially shirts. Not only does he provide a service that gets my wardrobe looking the way I want, he is also upfront about what to expect when altering certain garments. It's been my past experience that some tailor shops will take on any work they can get promising a lot, but delivering little. Brian makes sure I'm in the know on the work being done with my garments, and provides me with options I didn't even know were on the table. For example: did you know you can not only have a jacket taken in on the sides, but you can also have the SLEEVES tapered to get that really fitted look without looking like you've outgrown your jacket? Or that a shirt that billows over your waistband can be taken in on the sides WITHOUT getting those darts in the back? Seriously- Peter Field is the place to go if you want to learn how to take your look to the next level.

Got a suit and two shirts tailored here. Incredible work, completed in a shorter amount of time than the original estimate. They're a bit pricier than other tailors I've used in the city, but it's because their quality is so much higher. My suit, which was custom made elsewhere, now fits & looks like an entirely new suit.

I needed a quick hem. I called for an appointment and they said "No problem sir, when can you come in?" Next thing I know I'm on my way to what appears to be one of the top tailor shops in NYC. They altered my pants while I waited. Happy to pay a rush fee and actually get the pant length right (I have different length legs). Nice work Peter Field
