I took my wedding dress to be altered at El Dorado Tailoring with the assumption that I was going to a professional establishment. Just because you have a building with a logo on it does not necessarily mean you are professional. My first visit was horrendous. It started off okay, but as soon as I put my dress on to be pinned the owner started raging on and telling me about her failed marriage - yes....as I was trying on my wedding dress! I should have just left and taken it to someone else, but I did not. She promised it would be done in 2 weeks and when I returned she had not even finished the seams. So, she asked for another 2 weeks. When I returned to pick it up on the date that she scheduled with me, her shop was closed....early... and she was no where to be found. So I waited out the weekend because her hours showed she was closed and returned to pick it up that following Monday. She was closed AGAIN. I finally got a hold of her on the phone to make sure she was open and that I was coming to pick it up. I went to pick it up and tried it on to make sure it was altered correctly and I took it out of there. I will never take anything back to her, and I suggest no one else does either. She was never there when she said she was going to be and was very unprofessional.

I have ALWAYS been incredible happy, and amazed how well they do their work, within a reasonable price and an extremely efficient time frame. I have been using El Dorado Tailoring for numerous "sewing/dry cleaning" reasons since 2012 and I will NOT go anywhere else in Albuquerque. I'm always recommending El Dorado Tailoring. My Husband has just recently become a client, after all my compliments. For his recent promotion as one of three Commanders of the Albuquerque Police Department, he is more than happy with the hemming and dry cleaning works. He's now asking me to take things there when he needs things dry cleaned, buttons sew on, etc...to complete his Uniform as presentation for the City of Albuquerque. They are reliable, efficient, customer service related and get the job done. If it's not done to what the customer expected, they will rectify the situation in the most timely manner.

Never liked this place. Too bad because it's convenient to where I live, but the service tended to be unfriendly and unprofessional. I took my business elsewhere.

I will not be returning to El Dorado Tailoring. I needed a dress to be hemmed. She had my dress for seven days and it wasn't ready when I picked it up. I was asked to come back later in the day. The first thing she said to me was, "Here's your short dress, we can't lengthen it anymore." I thought that was an interesting comment to make. When I tried it on, it was crooked and was not pressed. She held on to the dress a few more days to be "fixed". The dress is suppose to be floor length with the shoes. The length is at my ankles. She told me it wasn't her fault; "the material is uneven, and I should get different shoes." She was very rude, unapologetic, and irresponsible.

El Dorado Tailoring has now lost my business. I just returned from picking up a dress I needed the zipper replaced on, only to discover it was sewn in crooked. When I pointed this out, my request was described as , "She doesn't like it." and then I was brushed off with, "It's on the side, under the arm, no one will ever see it." They had my dress for a full 7 days, but rushed through it when I showed up today (as scheduled) to pick it up, requesting I should come back in an hour since the work hadn't been done yet. I brought my item to them for a quality and a professional fix. I could have bought and sewn in my own crooked zipper, but I wanted it to be correct, not a rushed poor job.

The lady tailor is average at best she favors quantity over quality. I went with some jeans and jacket (hands length) to be fixed and the hems were sewn with the wrong color. When I have objected she said to take my business elsewhere. I did not think something like that needs to be explained; alterations need to look as close and natural to factory made ?!

Came to have cuffs fixed for Prom. They did an awful job with cheap thread that came undone within ten seconds the night of Prom. Overcharged too. Manipulative, awful people.
