Well, I have to say I'm very happy I decided to stop in here. I met Rocco and I could tell he was just a very nice guy. He was very personable and made sure I was treated with generous hospitality. My body is not the easiest to tailor to as I am broad on top and not that tall, so I was worried that this place would just be like every other place and not everything fit the way I wanted it to. But what do you know he found me something perfect. He found me a suit that looked great and once tailored fit me beautifully. And the prices....I don't think he's really there to make money. I think his true passion is to ensure his customers leave happy. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Definitely going to be back here for my wedding.

This is my first Google Review and I felt I had to write because Rocco's service and work was outstanding! I took my 9 and 7 year old boys in on a Tuesday to get their suits tailored for a Friday. He quickly put a few marks on their pants and said that's it and I thought there is no way these pants will be tailored correctly! (I actually held off on writing this review until I saw them both in their suits yesterday!) Lo and behold, they both were tailored perfectly. He had both suits and shirts pressed and dry cleaned and his prices were more than fair! Besides his work, my 7 year old can be a handful and if you rub him the wrong way, all bets are off! Rocco sang to him on his guitar and told him not to come back in his store until he was 18 and my son thought he was hysterical! He was amazing with him with his old world style!! This man is a true craftsman and we will be returning often!!

Great tailor, not just for men but women too! I went in to have skirts and pants taken in. He did an amazing job. I've had a few bad experiences where the butt, in the pants, look "dumpy" after being altered, not here! Smooth lines in my classic pants I'll own forever. Rocco's is the real deal! I took the drive out to his shop after seeing all the stellar reviews left by his clients. I brought him 2 suits that I had ordered online and wanted to see what he could do with them. I was not disappointed. He tailored the suits to perfection! It wasn't a minor alteration either. He took in the sides, the leg, tapered the ankle, amongst other things. His end result fit me like a glove. He was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process as well. He asked me when I needed them by and I told him ASAP, as I had just started a new career. I jokingly said, "tomorrow?" and he replied "no problem". He had both suits tailored perfectly in less than 24 hours!! If that's not excellent service, I don't know what is. I can't recommend Rocco's enough. I'll be bringing all my garments to him from now on!

I was so nervous because this dress is my baby and I was scared to have anyone touch it but Rocco is amazing, he took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and how he was going to fix it. It took about 2 weeks for my alterations. My dress fit perfectly and he even pressed it for me so all I have to do is just put it on! This is not the place to rent or buy tuxedo. I went here based on the excellent reviews people gave. I bought a tuxedo for my son since I was quoted a price that seemed reasonable (since renting would have probably cost more in the amount of times I would need to rent). I was told that the suit would be a custom fit and that the package included suit, shirt, vest and bowtie. When I bought my son for a fitting I was told that the vest and bowtie would be extra ($40). I said that was not in our agreement and then he tried asking for ($20). I refused since that was not on our invoice. Also the suit was never tailored and the pants were too short. I asked that he lengthen them and he said he would. I went back to pick up the suit and foolishly trusted that the work was done. Paid in cash (since he had asked for cash) and when I bought suit home and had my son retry it, no work was done. Also the vest that I was told was brand new had a dry cleaning tag on it so it was clearly a used vest! I can honestly say that I will NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone. I'm sorry that I had to learn this the hard way, lost a lot of money and had to rent a tuxedo in the end which was a better fit and my son looked amazing. My experience was not good and I hope no one else has this experience.

"Custom Tailoring" is a lost art, and very few tailors will actually do anything truly custom. Rocco is by far the best in the business in the New Jersey area. He's worked on my entire wardrobe at this point and everything has been done to perfection. He's also done a custom made suit where I selected my own fabric and I was blown away with the results. His prices are very reasonable and he will go to extremes to satisfy his customers. I've handed him my credit card blindly with 100% confidence he will get the job done at the best possible price. This is coming from somebody who wears suits every single day and who is very particular about measurements, being that wear my suits extremely modern and slim fitting. When all was said and done, Rocco made nine suits for my wedding, in three different styles, and I couldn’t be happier with how all of them turned out. Throughout the entire process, my wife and I felt extremely confident following Rocco’s lead. He consistently kept us in the loop during the entire process, and he went above and beyond every step of the way. After I decided on the suit I wanted to wear, Rocco went on a search for a material that he could make a matching vest from, since he knew how important a three piece suit was to me. He found a fabric that matched my suit precisely, which is no easy feat. In constructing the vest, we had a miscommunication about the lining, but Rocco was quick to fix it at no charge, saying that my and my future wife’s happiness on our wedding day was what mattered most, and I truly believe him. After my suit was all set, Rocco found cheaper alternatives for my groomsmen, again in a perfectly matching fabric. Some of my groomsmen couldn’t make it into Rocco’s shop for their initial fitting, so they sent their measurements in. Upon pickup, Rocco was able to make any necessary alterations on the spot and the suits fit perfectly. My wife and I brought our dads in for their suits and fittings, and Rocco delivered once again. Looking back, it was such a pleasure to work with him. He’s a consummate professional. I can’t recommend Rocco highly enough.

He had made me many customs suits, shirts, sport coats and slacks which have all turned out extraordinary but his talents do not end there. He has also done custom made skirts for my wife for work as well as altering many off the rack suits and shirts I had purchased in the past. Since I was introduced to Rocco I will never buy an off the rack suit or shirt again. His prices are incredibly reasonable and his customer service is outstanding. He will not let you leave his shop unless he is 100% satisfied with the way your garment is fitted to your body. He has no problem altering something multiple times until it fits perfectly even though it could be a very time consuming process. I clicked on it and not only did he have a 5 star rating, he had no 4 stars, no 3 stars, nor 2, nor 1. Only 5 stars. I had never seen that on Google ever before. Now I understand why. He is a true craftsman. He wants to make sure the customer is happy. He perfectly trimmed my pants, but they were a bit shorter than I had hoped for. I came back the following week and he slightly lengthened them for no cost. On top of all that, if you have time AND he has time (he is usually busy), he has his guitar in his store and can sing/play you a song or too. Rocco is one of those people who you come across once every few years, who is brilliant at their craft.

Rocco is an artist! (Yes, he’s a good singer and plays the guitar too). Based upon my personal experiences, he is phenomenal with Men’s suits and alterations. Even better, he’s not out to gouge you by proposing expensive alterations. He makes practical recommendations to help you achieve a GOOD fit at a reasonable price. Of course, when you want GREAT, he does it too, although the cost of alterations is ultimately a function of how much time and effort they take. If you are buying menswear off the rack, you are doing it wrong. Yes, Rocco does truly brilliant alteration work, but he also sells custom fitted suits, sportcoats, and pants. About 4 weeks ago I flew into Newark from Tampa on a Thursday afternoon and was in need of a suit for a Saturday night wedding. I Googled Taylor shops as there were quite a few in the area.
