This is my second visit to Mohan's for suits. I've tried the alternatives such as Suit Supply and Bonobos, but the quality and fit from Mohan's is far superior, not to mention the attention to detail. Additionally, the cost is not all that much different. While most shops try to whisk you out of their store with your purchase as soon as they can, Mohan's really cares that you are happy with their product and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Definitely worth visiting and trying them out.

He has demonstrated inordinate forbearance in assisting me in the selection of fabrics (and the selection is vast) and tutoring me in the construction of garments, and he is always exacting in his follow-through in the creation and delivery of my orders (in some instances under restrictive deadlines). My first visit to Mohan’s was in 1986. After numerous visits and many suits later, I have just picked up my most recent order. Why have I kept on coming back to Mohan’s? There is one consistent factor: the key to customer service that Mohan’s founder Mike Ramchandani understands perfectly – make your customer happy and they will return. Mike knows that the clothes you are wearing is his best advertisement – and that is why his suits are made to exacting standards of fit and tailoring. It is evident that Mike has instilled this culture in a new generation of sales managers (Sam and KJ) who will competently navigate you through what can be a daunting task of style and fabric selection. Most recently, I was assisted in this process by the personable and extremely knowledgeable KJ who is clearly adept in bringing together the latest trends and fabric selections to make recommendations that you can be confident wearing. Working with the patient and good natured KJ was as easy and enjoyable as working with Mike over the years. A special mention also for Stanley - who quietly goes about his business in the background to ensure that fittings are scheduled in a timely manner and your suits are well packaged and ready to go when you are done. Just a great team all round. I have also introduced my son to Mohan’s. A discerning and hard to please twenty-something let me just say he was completely blown away by the quality and fit of his first Mohan’s suit. I had been a loyal customer of the "made-to-measure" suit department of a large well-established clothing merchant ( founded in 1818, Despite significant spending on suits, the jacket and trousers fit me "ok" but not well enough. The limited alterations that were available represented an improvement in the fit. The reason is that my body measurements do not comport with that of the ideal dimensions. A friend recommended that I visit Mohans Tailors on E. 42d Street. I have since purchases 3 bespoke suits, 3 overcoats 8 shirts and 1 pair of trousers. The choice and quality of the fabrics, the meticulous tailoring and attention to detail and the level of customer service was impressive. After that a professional tailor took measurements. I came back after a few days where we tried the clothes. The tailor checked and made minor modifications. I picked up the next day!! I have had my suits and shirts made by Mohan’s for about 30 years starting out with the first suit I owned when I started on Wall Street. I’ve always had a great experience with Mike and the rest of the crew. They have always been helpful, responsive, accommodating and thoughtful when making recommendations. The suits have never lost their shape, come apart or worn out. I’ve even had some suits and shirts for over 10 years and they still look great. I have never worn through the elbows of the shirts. I had a fantastic experience in my visit to Mohan's showroom in Manhattan. KJ and his colleague Mike were awesome! My friend wanted me to send him my suit measurements to make a suit for me as one of his groom's men. I walked in, and KJ quickly arranged for Mike to carefully take my measurement in line with the specifications provided by my friend's tailor. To my greatest surprise, I was not charged anything. I was expecting to pay at least $20 to $40 for the measurements because it as really rigorous. They were very polite, and their showroom is beautiful with lots of sample materials for suits. Today is my second time ordering from Mohan's. My first experience was amazing. The suits came as promised and fit like a glove. The tailor, Kenny was extremely diligent and took what felt like a couple of dozen measurements to ensure a great fit. When the suits arrived he was equally attentive in ensuring the final product fit me perfectly and performed the final alterations quickly. From order to final alterations I had three outstanding suits and 6 high quality shirts in 5 weeks. I am excited to receive my next order of summer suits and shirts. My overall opinion is you can't get a better value in haberdashery then at Mohan's. The quality, price and most importantly ongoing client care(free alterations for a year and if there are any problems they'll fix them on site) you'll come to expect is unparalleled.

first review. The treatment I received at Mohan's suit store on 42nd street needed to be shared with anymore in the market for a new suit. After receiving my shipment of suits, they came back fitting very poorly. I spent a total of around 5k for 4 suits and 4 shirts. I returned on May 8th 2015 and still have not received my alterations and have been lied to repeatedly about when they will be done. Sam is the salesmen. He will be very accommodating until he gets your money. Proceed with caution as the customer service (in my opinion) is horrible. I will confirm back once I receive my alterations. It has been over 2 months since dropping my suits off for simple (free as Sam claimed) alterations.

I brought my topcoat in to have the sides taken in and was blown away by the quality & speed of service! Victor and Mr Mohan himself provided excellent fitting advice-- its clear these guys know what they're talking about. In addition, I asked to have the coat ready by next week but it was finished by Friday! The craftsmanship is extremely high-quality-- I can't detect a single loose thread or imperfection. I was eyeing their holiday sales on custom suit options and I could see myself getting measured for that someday. Mohan's is an excellent option for those looking for true bespoke tailoring, hand-selected fabrics, and onsite measuring within a reasonable budget. I'm happy with my coat and will be exploring their suiting options next!

Mohans has come through for me time and time again. I have used them for my shirts and suits for years now, creating a full time wardrobe that is both comfortable and well fitting, but also fitting virtually every need. I recently went to them with a special request as a groomsmen in a wedding and needed them to color match my suit with ones being made by my wedding party mates on the west coast with just a swatch of fabric.
