Kinary tailors were the worst service out of any services I have ever received whether it be at a restaurant, beauty salon or tailor. They were very unprofessional. They told me a date they would be done and were not ready til 3 weeks later when I threatened to come collect my work and take it elsewhere. I gave them unstitched material to make outfits with and when altered they were HORRENDOUS. They completely destroyed the skirt and made weird pleats and made up an excuse as to why both outfits looked beyond disgusting. They also over charged unnecessarily. The zips and hooks they attached to the outfits were poorly stitched and poor quality. This is the worst tailoring service I have ever ever seen and no one should ever go to them. They are the worst company in this entire world.

I went here because it was supposed to be "fast service". However, I went three weeks after I gave in my outfit, they couldn't find the outfit at first. They told me to look around in their cabinet and see if I could find it. After looking for a while, they found the skirt but couldn't find the blouse. They kept searching and finally they noticed they never stitched the blouse!! I was so upset. They are unorganized and definitely not professional. I would recommend going somewhere else.

I barely get Indian clothes fixed in the states since it's always scary who to trust them with but these tailors were really good! They are not just good at their job but they are also very accommodating!

Amazing service. The two owners are very nice and patient. They charge reasonable price for excellent work. They made multiple alterations on the spot within minutes to make sure all my dresses fit absolutely perfectly. I would not go anywhere else for tailoring!

Left my outfit there for a month as I didn't need it right away. Arrived there on the due date and they hadn't even touched my clothes. Embarrassed they attempted to quickly stitch my outfit within an hours time. Needless to say the work was of very poor quality and I left there a disappointed customer. Would not recommend.

Horrible service....took three weeks to alter my shalwar kameez. Only did one out of 3 tasks I asked them to do... Ruined the zipper of my dress. I dont know why so many good rating was given to this place...

They are very nice people! And they use to charge very decent amount for any kind of work but now their prices are going up! Prices are not consistent. We always go there and they will do it right away for us!

I was getting married and lost a bit of weight. They were able to resize my blouse and make sure it fit perfectly and add some hangings to my lengha! I got my lengha back within a week.

DO NOT GET YOUR CLOTHES TAILORED HERE. Now let me start by saying that I hardly ever leave reviews, good or bad. But Atul uncle and Meena aunty screwed up so badly that I have to warn others to stay away and not make the same mistake we did. We had given them 5 sari/lehengha blouse pieces a month in advance to be stitched (they claim they can stitch them in 1 day, but we had time, so we figured we can wait). When Atul uncle took our measurements, we specifically told them how we wanted the blouses to look When we came a month later (which was more than enough time to make the blouses) there were so many issues that I have to list them out: 1. All the blouses that were stitched were MUCH shorter than we had requested. One actually showed underboob 2. They could not find one blouse in their cluttered and disorganized office. They then claimed that we had not given that blouse to them and refused to look for it. After 5 minutes of US searching, we found it, stitched! So they straight up lied to us that we hadn’t given it to them! 3. One blouse had such shoddy work done, it looked like it was completed by a freshman in fashion school. The neckline and straps were so uneven. 4. One blouse remained completely unstitched. The fabric was lying in the same bag that we had given them. Looking back, this was a blessing in disguise after seeing how badly they botched the other blouses They basically ruined our outfits. I know it sounds dramatic, but these clothes were for an important event and for the prices they charge, we expected them to deliver. But what makes it worse was their behavior. Like ok, mistakes happen, maybe there was miscommunication on how we wanted the blouses to look. But they straight up lied several times, and accused US of being irresponsible and not giving the blouses to them. Literally NO customer service here. If you made it this far into the review, for the sake of your clothes, your wallet, and your sanity: STAY AWAY from this tailor. There are several Indian tailors in the Edison area that actually know how to tailor. Unfortunately for us, Kinnary Tailor is not one of them.

This is the worst level of customer service imaginable. I brought two suits to get tailored and the price was $100. The clothes were supposed to be ready Wednesday as discussed. Wednesday come, I call becore leaving my house and they said everything was ready. I get here and then they tell me ITS NOT READY and that I have to come back after 3. I get here at 4:30 and the suits are still not done!! Do NOT come here. Absolutely horrible.

staff is rude, and service is poor. I brought in a few kurta pyjama sets that needed few alterations, and after coming back twice, they were still not done to satisfaction. One major problem is that the lady who measures and marks the clothes is not the same person that does the alterations.

In the summer of 2018, I was in dire straits. My wedding was in 2 weeks and the lehenga I had bought in Delhi needed alternations. I had never had traditional Indian clothes altered in the US before and had no idea where to go. My mother-in-law-to-be had told me about Kinnari, and though I was skeptical after seeing some of these online reviews, I was also desperate and decided to give them a call. My mother and I spoke to Uncle on the phone and explained what needed to be done. My lehenga skirt had to be shortened and the can-cans removed. Uncle and my mom brainstormed an idea to make the can-cans into a separate skirt, so I could wear them under my lehenga if I wanted that particular look, but could also easily remove them myself. We repeatedly emphasized that it had to be completed in a week. Then off we drove to Iselin. While the basement store was small and no-frills, Uncle and Aunty understood exactly what I needed. He explained that he would cut the length from near the top of the skirt so that the embroidery at the bottom would not be disturbed. I hadn't thought of this simple but very smart solution. A few days later, I called ahead to make sure it was ready and then went in. The can-cans had been beautifully removed and made into a separate skirt as promised. The length was shorter but still needed a minor adjustment. They were able to make that change in an hour's time while I grabbed lunch nearby. On my second trial, the skirt was absolutely perfect. Best of all, it was altered in such a way that it didn't happen even look like it had been altered at all. They just nailed it. My lenhenga looked fabulous at my wedding and my experience with Kinnary was nothing short of awesome. I will continue to recommend them to everyone I know who needs traditional Indian clothing tailored.

Brought a brand new salwaar suit here for alternations and when I picked it up there was a huge stain on it. They wouldn’t even own up to their mistake and just kept denying it. They laughed in my face and treated me very poorly. They didn’t even offer to help clean the stain. What kind of customer service is that?

Beware of the good reviews, the owners offer a discount if you leave them 5 stars. My family and i had a very negative experience with them. We waited almost 1 month for our clothes to be tailored. We called every week to check if it was done and they kept saying it will be finished the next week. They were unbelievably rude. And after the one month the clothes still do not fit properly. Horrible and dishonest company.
