I work as a personal assistant and recently sent one of my clients in to this location to get a suit. He was very impressed by how friendly and attentive the staff were at this location. They helped him pick out a new suit for a business conference he was speaking at. A few weeks later his suit arrived and was tailored perfectly. He is very particular about his suits and was thrilled with the finished product from this store. Thanks to the staff for the excellent service and making me look good in front of this client.

I was looking for my wedding suit and couldn't find a place that had what I wanted... After days of looking, someone recommended me to BOOKATAILOR and I must say that I had a great experience overall. Kalimi was very helpful and provided exactly what I was looking for. He was very welcoming, gave me great recommendations and tips, based on what I told him I wanted. I got two suits and the colors, alterations and everything about the suits are perfect. I will continue to use Book A Tailor in the future for all my suits. Thank you once again, Kalimi. We have had the absolute worst experience at the great neck location. We used them for our wedding and had 6 men buy suits from here. There was an issue with everything. The employees who were there for our fittings were unprofessional and did not help us in the slightest. We had multiple suits that did not fit and had to pay other tailors to fix them. They also sold us vests that did not even match the color of our suits. To say we have had an awful experience is an understatement. We will never be using them again and would not recommend them to anyone!

One of the worst experiences we've ever had. My husband and 2 sons went to Book A Tailor to buy custom suits for our sons' wedding and everyone's suits came out so badly it would have been comical if only the wedding wasn't only 5 days away. The pants were about 2 inches too short, the same with the sleeves, the jackets were tight the same with the custom shirts. We almost thought that they had switched the suits by accident but that wasn't the case. They all had to run out and buy a suit and shirt last minute. They also didn't make good on anything and we got stuck with a huge credit card bill that we have been fighting ever since. To say I am fed up is an understatement. I don't recommend them and we for sure would never use them again.

I bought some dress shirts from this place a while ago. They were alright, but I would recommend going somewhere else. They have kept my contact information and regularly text and call my phone, which is not enjoyable.

I purchased two custom shirts and one custom suit. Neither fit properly so they took them back toi make changes; however the second time I tried them on, yesterday, they still do not fit. Even the salesman acknowledges that there are problems with production/ They cannot fix these clothes...they woujld have to start over again. I aksed for a refund and was refused. I am out one thousand dollars How would you feel it only gets worse...today the salesman told them the clothes cannot be rmade to fit and that they should refund the money..they REFUCE TO DO THE RIGHT THING

I was referred to BookATailor by a friend and when I went to the showroom in New York City I was completely blown away. It wasn't a typical old tailor company making me suits, it was up to date and technologically advanced. I was immediately given help upon my visit with a styling genius that was tremendously helpful and cool. I was given a wide variety of options by this styling genius and was pleased with the amount of options that I had, but at the same time I was not overwhelmed instead more pleased and satisfied with the outcome. In addition to that my clothing came in under 3 weeks. It was an overall spectacular experience, I definitely do recommend BookATailor and I myself will be returning for another beautiful custom made suit and shirts.

This was a TERRIBLE experience at their Wall Street office. I decided to try BookATailor, as opposed to my usual tailor. The sales girl messed up my order on multiple occasions, i.e, the clothes didn't fit. She seemingly doubled as a sales girl/tailor, so I wasn't sure which hat she wore. I ultimately got so frustrated with the back and forth that I decided to accept my order, unfinished and will get my own tailor to finish the job that I've already PAID BookATailor $2,000 for. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back to BookATailor. As I read other people's negative posts, I see a lot in common with what I experienced, so folks believe me when I say that I am NOT making this up. I DON"T say this in jest when I say: "Buyer, Beware". I would not, and will not recommend BookATailor to any friend or family.

store would not honor a deal advertised on the companies website. When I contacted corporate to honor the deal, they claimed they we're hacked and offered nothing. Deal is still offered on their website. Seems like a scam just to get people into their store, where the sales reps then change prices on you.

We came looking for tailor made wedding suits. First the customer service was really great. The attendant paid so much attention to the details and helped us find a perfect fabric for the suit. All in all , I would recommend it to anyone looking for affordable quality bespoke wedding suit.

With my cousin coming up from Atlanta, I wanted to buy him a quality gift so when I went on Groupon and saw their deal, I jumped on it. I purchased it and when he came we went straight there. The employees were not only so nice but really professional. They took their time to measure him for his custom shirts. He got them 4 weeks later and has been complimented on them. He loved it! This place really made his visit to NYC great. Thanks

Used a 449$ groupon deal here for a really nice custom tailored men's suit. I arrived at the establishment and the really helpful salesman got my measurements and then showed me a variety of suits. The order took 4 weeks to arrive just as they said it would. Great service, great deal and a great suit!

Buyer Beware! Probably the worst experience I have ever had as a customer. Here is the timeline: 1. Called and asked if their shirts were non-iron. They confirmed that they were 2. I ordered 4 shirts via groupon. For $180 3. A week later, came into their store, found out I was lied to and their shirts were not non-iron. Instead they tried to upsell me to a higher grade of fabric. 4. Both Book a tailor and groupon refused to give me a refund as the AD did not specifically say (non-iron)....even though I had an email from one of their employees stating otherwise. 5. They said they would make it up to me by upgrading my shirts for free to the higher fabric. 6. I accepted, got measured. 7. 2 Weeks later, I got a call saying they lost my measurements and needed to come back in. 8. I got measured again. 9. I called back 6 weeks laters to check on the status. 10. They said they have no record of me as a customer, and to come back in. 11. At this point im furious, so I ask for a full refund. 12. They refuse and only give me back $90, as that is what groupon paid them. Summary: I lost $90 for nothing but aggravation and wasted time. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

SCAM KEEP AWAY!! DON'T WAIST TIME OR MONEY!!! BookATailor was sold to me on Groupon 4 shirts for $160. When you see the address you think its a real professional office taking up a floor in NYC, wrong its a cubicle that doesn't have enough space for 3 people. So let start got measured and was told that my order will arrive in a month. I asked if Christmas or New Years will delay they said no. 40 days later no shirts i call they say many shirts came in they must go through no call back or follow up at all. 50 days later my shirts arrive and i am told to come pick them up. Come to cubicle and try on shirt and the sleeves are made to Large, so i ask when should i come back to get them once repaired? Call to the manager he said "ITS HIS PROBLEM BRING TO YOUR OWN TAILOR IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE FIT" Is this custom shirts or non? Do you want to deal with this kind of Business?

We made an appointment with BAT for a Thursday (only day open past 5pm) in mid-April. A day prior to the appointment, my husband received a call from BAT informing him that they are canceling the appointment because of early closing, we made an appointment for the next available Thursday, May 4th. BAT had a promotion running of 2 custom shirts for $99. We arrived at the showroom and there was some sort of “party” going on. Everyone was talking loudly, with music playing and drinking cocktails, wine, beer etc we were greeted by Kalimi. He was well dressed, as were the other guys in the showroom so that seemed like a good sign. After discussing the shirts with Kalimi, I inquired about a custom tuxedo. We questioned Kalimi and later the CEO, Jack, whether the tuxedo would be ready by latest June 1st, as we needed to ensure it fit properly in the event any alterations were required. They swore up and down that it would be ready even earlier. My husband agreed to buy the package and was greeted with many upcharges - The total was nearly $900, almost double the original promo price! two-plus hours of being measured, we were so confident in our. June 1st – no word from BAT. My husband called and was told his tuxedo would arrive from the factory on Monday, June 12th!He replied that would not work because the wedding was on the 10th! What happened to the promise of earlier than June 1st?? So BAT told him they will attempt to receive the item by Monday/Tuesday of the following week. Cutting it close, we figured he would still have 3-4 days to address any alterations needed. My husband called back on Monday and was told it should arrive on Friday, June 9th – ONE DAY before our wedding!! Unacceptable!! So after a few check-ins, BAT informed us that the boss will personally pick up the tuxedo and deliver to the shop on Wednesday – at 10pm! So my husband would not be able to go for his FIRST fitting until 2 days before the wedding! Frustrated and anxious, we agreed on Thursday during lunchtime. We met with Kalimi on Thursday, June 8th. My husband asked if everything was ok with the suit. Kalimi was all smiles saying it looks great! Excited, he tried it on… Uh-oh! Pants were big. It looked like MC Hammer pants from the 80’s minus the bling! He then tried on the vest. Fit was ok, but needed some alterations. Finally, the jacket. All I heard was “Oh NO!!!”. My husband comes out from the dressing curtain and the jacket looks like it was made for a T-Rex!! Who ever heard of a ¾ length tuxedo?? Sleeves barely went past his elbows!! I was appalled and livid!! I found out they don’t even have extra fabric in stock to fix the garment! They don’t know how to measure or follow measurements and don’t even know what is a seam ripper! It is a common tool in the fashion industry! How can they respond to any fit issues without extra fabric on hand or understanding how to take simple measurements? When asked how this could have happened, Kalimi replied, “The factory must have used standard measurements”. How is a jacket long enough for Andre the Giant with arms barely long enough for Mini-Me considered “Standard”? He then offered to use material from a different suit to extend the sleeves. My husband was not going to wear a Frankenstein tuxedo! They are the WORST IN THE INSDUSTRY. To top it off, customer service from the CEO Jack was the best! Not only did he not pick up the phone when Kalimi attempted to call but after 45 minutes of arguing he finally picked up. Kalimi passed me the phone. I was so frustrated and lost my cool and his best response was “I’m not going to refund your money!” and hung up. What kind of solution/service is that??? In the end, they processed my husband’s refund and even offered to fix the garment and throw in a free suit for my troubles. There is no way I’d trust them fix the garment one day before the biggest day of my life. And forget a free suit, I’ve seen their work and would rather buy off the rack. I would never ever recommend this place not even to my enemies!

My boyfriend needed a suit for work and I referred him to Bookatailor. He ended up walking out with two suits and 4 shirts. The fit and color of the suits are flawless and very slimming on my 6 ft man. Although my boyfriend was unsatisfied with the collars of the shirts, bookatailor was able to alter them for him. He is very happy with this purchase and has since referred bookatailor to many of his friends.

i was in rush to get a custom suit for my wedding. my friend told me that he had made a custom suit by bookatailor and by paying an additional charge of $100 they could deliver the suit to me in 10 days! so i rolled the dice and they delivered on time. next time i will take more time to go over the options to maybe choose different lining and piping colors. but overall they saved me and got me a custom suit that fit great for my wedding.

ive been coming here for a few years now and i have to say they are by far the best custom tailor i have used. once i went custom on my business clothing, i havent turned back. some of the other custom clothing companies i have used and have a variety of different issues with production, mis-measurements, lead time, etc. Bookatailor has seemed to get all the issues worked out without sacrificing the quality by any means... and their pricing is unbeatable. ive recommended many people to them and all have come back with great feedback. I was kind of hesitant to order from Bookatailor because of mixed reviews. I picked up the groupon deal for a suit and two shirts. Hoping that I would be one of the positive reviewers. I went in to Bookatailor's mid town office on July 4th to have my measurements done. Met a gentleman named Marlon who took my measurements and explained to me the options for the suit and shirts I was getting. Don't get me wrong, I don't consider myself a expert on bespoke wear or anything. However I do know what feels good on me and the quality of cloth used. So, I did all of that and got a some upgrades etc. I left hoping that I made the right decision. August 1st I received an email saying my suit is ready! Awesome. Went to pick up my suit and tried on the shirts and suit that I ordered. 1st the suit, fabric was pretty decent considering the price point. I was pleasantly surprised on how it felt and how the lining was put together. The stitching for my monogram looked pretty good, so that's a plus. I put on my first shirt on which was a french cuff. I kinda felt like it was smaller on the cuff than I was use to. Just in case, I decided to put on the suit and see how the shirt wore with the suit. It fit perfect on the sleeves and the cuffs came to the exact point after the sleeves on the suit. Another plus. Pleasantly surprised. 2nd shirt was a standard shirt button cuffs and fit perfectly well. The suit itself held up pretty decently and had no sew marks or misaligned stitching anywhere. Again I was pleasantly surprised considering the price point. I'm also getting a suit at Imparali for a considerable amount more. So I can compare a little later after the fact. But, for the price you shouldn't be expecting a 2k bespoke suit. Yet overall a above average suit and pretty decent customer service. I would recommend Bookatailor. Just make sure your measurements are correct and ask to see similar sized suits if they have it in stock to better fit your needs. Do remember that it is too late to change your order once it's done. They have a policy of no refunds after the fact, which by the way they tell you before hand. I hope this was helpful to anyone reading it.

Book A Tailor is a great place to get tailored shirts and suits. I brought my friend the $149 Groupon deal for Christmas that gives you four custom men's shirt and he was surprised and delighted by the great choices that they had. Of course he had to go in to get measured but he received the shirts in the mail pretty quickly, almost four weeks after ordering them.
