Anthony has always done great work for me. He is a one person operation and relies mostly of word of mouth for his business. If he doesn't answer the phone you shouldn't be surprised. Since every job is different I have never expected him to give me a price over the phone. But he has always treated me well.

I love Mr. Anthony. He is an "off the boat" (technically off the plane) Italian tailor. The man fits into the "Little Naples" vibe of West 74th Street. He is a neighborhood business man. He is not the guy you go to when you need it fast. He is the guy you go to when you want the job done right. He runs a solo shop. You can see him doing the work from the window on the street. Anyone giving him less than 5 stars is simply a tense New Yorker who doesn't get what makes Mr. Anthony special. Tell him Tom sent you! I always see him doing alternate side of the street parking. He's not just a good tailor. He's a good neighbor.

I have used him for multiple suits, coats and he does an amazing job. People that want things super fast don't get the quality that Anthony produces. We all want Italian made clothes, this gentleman provides that quality.

Anthony would not give a price on the phone, had to go over there to find that he wants $20 to shorten a pair of jeans. Waste of time. Local dry cleaner will do it for 15. Anthony may or may not be a good tailor, but he's not up on customer service; a simple statement of price on the phone would have taken as much of his time as saying he refuses to give a price without seeing the trousers. Not that there was any differentiation. When I did go in and he quoted $20 and I said that was high, he pulled another pair of trousers of his rack to show the price on the tag, saying always charges $20 to shorten trousers. So much for not being able to give a price without having me come in. Seems to be relying on the idea that once there I won't want to bother going elsewhere. Nice try. My advice: go elsewhere. Someone who can't deal straight may not sew straight either.

I have been coming to Anthony for quite a few years and each time I find the attention to detail and the work he does is phenomenal. Finding a tailor like Anthony in the US is not easy and it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend!
