Pretty bad service. I had a couple clothes to tail and had to wait minutes after changing as the tailors were chatting and totally ignoring me. When I called to ask the hours, was told 5pm but got here at 4:40pm and saw the sign that they closed at 4:30pm. Go to the midtown one. Def not coming back!

I never leave reviews, but this experience was beyond crazy. I spent $700 to have tailoring done on two items for my wedding (no sequins, no beading), and the work was done a day late, and poorly, resulting in a number of wardrobe issues during my wedding weekend. When I contacted them about what happened, they didn't respond. They only responded when I posted on social media, and DM'd me to demand I take the post down immediately and promised to respond to my email. They then never emailed me back, until I contacted them again on social media. Seriously that happened! I was asked to sign a confidentiality / non-disclosure waiver promising *not* to share my bad experience. I've never seen that! The man I spoke to - Nigel Ramsey - told me the skirt was too tight and it "popped" which was my fault. The skirt was not tight, and he repeatedly said "it's too tight which is what you asked for. When things are too tight, they pop." WHAT?! In fact, my skirt was loose, which is why it needed to be nipped in the waist? Absolutely beyond offensive, especially given it was my wedding. Management wouldn't take responsibility for their shoddy, rushed work and are more worried about their social media than serving their clients. Go anywhere else - the management of this company is beyond rude and doesn't deserve a penny of your hard-earned money!

Very over-priced! I was quoted over $220 to tailor a dress, and found a place one block away that would do the same work for $110. The woman at the front desk was a bit unfriendly when I started asking if there was any type of discount (I would have stayed if they quoted me slightly lower, but she would not budge).

Overall great experience! The woman who greeted me when I entered was extremely friendly and helpful, and they accommodated my (admittedly unreasonable) quick turnaround time request with no fuss. Of course all of that wouldn't matter if the work wasn't satisfactory, but I was definitely more than pleased with both the quality of my alterations and the price! I had my wedding gown tailored here and had about 4-5 fittings from June-August 2015. I found Nigel and his staff on yelp and was very wary about having my gown done (blind eye). My bridal salon did not have an in house tailor so I was scrambling to find an expert. I got there and questioned Nigel (the owner) and he reassured me he does this all the time and showed me Nicole Miller gowns all in their sewing room. Nigel and his staff did a great job! He is very expensive which I expected (but very expensive $$$$) so don't be too sticker shocked with the price.

This place saved my wedding dress! After the original tailor at the bridal store told me it couldn’t be taken in anymore but it was still too baggy in the stomach, I thankfully found this place a week before the wedding. They turned the dress around in about 3 days and completely fixed the issue - the dress ended up looking fantastic. They are definitely not cheap, but are completely worth it in my opinion! Hence, if the likes of Saks trust this place, then that is good enough for me. This place has the most talented tailors. This is one of those services that you just never thought existed. Once you use them, you will never be able to get something tailored elsewhere. Took a tough shoulder job on an older suit, and it was tailored perfectly. Not an easy job either, 2 other tailors said it wasn't possible. From the experience, to the service, this company is really the gold standard in tailoring. So happy that they are near my home and work as well. My wife is going to try the home office service, she is super excited about that.

Yess! I finally found a place that -no jokes- are masters of alterations. I asked if they altered even the smallest things and they do! They alter almost everything from bridal and suits to plain t-shirts and jeans! The place is filled with so many other clients but consultations took only less than 10 minutes! The tailors there really do know what needs to be altered even without you needing to tell them. May I also add how friendly the front desk ladies are! When I came back for pick up, the garments fit me perfectly! I left feeling satisfied! I recommend getting all and I mean ALL your alterations done here: no regrets!

The bridal department absolutely outdid themselves with my wedding dresses! Ornela Flamuri seriously has hands of magic! I am a short size 2 bride and I had 2 wedding dresses (a size 10 and 12) . I cannot believe how amazing my dresses fit me. They did not move or feel uncomfortable in any way. Ornela had taken her time and even installed a builtin bra for me. Excellent quality, customer service and tailoring. I had a leather jacket tailored here. A friend of mine recommended Alteration Specialists to me and I am happy I took her advice to go there. I had been looking for someone to alter my leather jacket for a while - a few tailors in my neighborhood told me they were not willing to take a chance on it, since it was an expensive leather jacket and apparently leather is more complicated. Nigel came to the rescue and did an unbelievable job! I will definitely be going back.

Extremely EXPENSIVE and the WORST experience ever honestly from the moment I walked in till the check out process where I got over charged. After my alterations I still wasn't happy and was told I needed to pay more. The staff was very lackluster and rude. Which is very unfortunate because i'm looking into finding a new tailor. They were fine but the work that was done was unacceptable. I paid $250 to have a bridesmaids dress altered. They took a few Inches off the bottom. Within 2 min of walking the bottom started to fray terribly... they did one thin loose stitch around the bottom... a professional should have known that wouldn't work. I was with 6 bridesmaids who all got their dresses altered and mine was the only one that did that...

Certainly expected more detailed work with a better finish. Got a Theory suit tailored. My altered pant legs were different lengths, at approximately a 1" difference between legs. I tried on the pants to show them and informed them of this, however the lady i spoke to was immediately ready to prove otherwise (considering that I noticed immediately, I think this certainly speaks to their level of detail). After taking them off and handing them to her, she folded the pants in half and compared them side by side only to see that they were indeed different lengths. Furthermore, my jacket sleeves needed to be hemmed and I was told that the sides needed to be hemmed as well - deferred to their expertise, but specifically asked whether they could ensure that the finish of the jacket would be as per the original design, i.e., no additional draping in the front. Was told that they would take away any additional draping with the alteration. Not the case when the jacket was given back to me once altered. I was then told that the additional draping was due to a lack of pocket or seams on the right side of the jacket, however would have preferred to have been told this from the beginning. I believe that a tailor's value add is not only their level of detail in creating a polished product, but also their expertise in how the finished product will fall post-alteration. Neither of these were met in my experience here.
