She is a magic maker. I brought my Indian wedding lehenga to her that has very intricate bead work in hopes of her making it fit me better. She not only made it fit me but made me feel just how I wanted to feel in my wedding dress, like a princess. I can't thank her enough for reworking the bead work and making it look perfect. This was my first experience with a professional tailor to alter 2 rompers, which became much more detailed than just adjusting the pant length. Lauren made recommendations and took in both pieces on each side, adjusted the shoulders and tacked the shorts on one so they wouldn't keep unrolling. She did an amazing job and has a great personality which just adds to the overall experience. I am a repeat customer for sure!

Lauren is the best! I brought her my mom’s 30 year old wedding dress that I wanted altered so I could wear it as my wedding dress. Not only did Lauren understand what I wanted she was also able to make suggestions to help make the dress perfect for me. She hemmed the dress, cut off the long sleeves and neck line to reconfigure the top. She also used the sleeves she cut off to make the new straps for the dress. The end result was more than I could have ever imagined and I loved it! Lauren is caring and very good at her job, I will and have recommended Lauren to anyone looking for a tailor.

I bought a new sport coat recently but the sleeves were too short. I brought my new purchase to my local cleaners and asked to get the sleeves extended. I should have known better when the woman at the cleaners simply had me try it on and didn’t take any measurements at all. She simply said ok come back in a few days. When I got my coat home, I tryed it on to find the sleeves were too long and crooked. Not wanting to chance another local cleaners, I decided to do a google search. I found Sew Nicely Done where the owner Lauren runs her small business out of her home. I was fortunate to catch Lauren before her busy prom season began. My fiancé and I found Lauren to be very personable and helpful. She was able fix all the mistakes the cleaner made. Very happy with the end results we will definitely return to Sew Nicely Done with any future alterations, including my wife to be’s wedding dress. Thanks again Lauren!

This was my first experience using a tailor and it was such a positive experience. Lauren clearly knows what she's doing and does great work. I couldn't have been happier with the end result. I came into the first appointment not knowing what to expect, but Lauren made me feel comfortable, understood all my worries about the fit of my bridesmaid dress and assured me there would be no issues. Lauren did a fantastic job tailoring my gown for my daughters wedding. She fitted the bust and waist perfectly, having to deal with ruching and beaded appliques. She hemmed it, added a bustle and steamed the wrinkles out. It fit perfectly when she was done and I was comfortable all night. Lauren did a beautiful job altering my daughter's dance competition costume! This is my daughters first time competing and her costume was way too big on top. She made sure it fit her perfectly. I contacted Lauren 3 years ago asking for help to make memory pillows for my grandmother, mom, and uncles after my grandfather passed away. She was so helpful and creative in helping me make this vision come true.
