The best around! I wouldn't consider any other "alterations" person than Nicole and her staff. Our entire family has used this business for over 10+ years and there is nobody better. We live an hour from Lincoln and we take all of our "tailoring needs" to Colea Alterations. Very reasonably priced, they deliver the service when promised, and such a delight to walk into their store and see "smiling faces".

I love taking my clothes here to get altered! They are always helpful and always double check that everything is as it should be. They've fixed some pretty complicated pieces for me and are fairly priced.

I had ordered a bridesmaid dress and was told it would fit fine when it arrived, but it was too big so I had a different company take it in. When I got it back, they had taken it in so much that I could hardly breathe. I took it to Colea with only 4 days before I needed to leave for the wedding and they were able to make sure it fit perfectly in time! I'm so thankful they were willing to take on my rush job and make sure it was done right!

I was referred to this place by a friend and WOW - great work all around. To be honest, clothes aren't my speciality and I just want to find someone that is good at what they do, and can take care of the problem for me, without me having to worry. I took my daughter's prom dress to Colea. The bodice had to be taken in and three layers had to be hemmed. After alterations, the dress fits perfectly and looks wonderful. They finished when they said they would and were very friendly. Highly recommend!

I would not recommend Colea Alterations. They're expensive, didn't seem able to provide any input on what might make an outfit look the best, and seemed content on providing a less than satisfactory result. My simple straight sleeveless "Mother of the Bride" dress with jacket needed a hem, new zipper, and taken in on the sides and top. It took six weeks, multiple visits, and hundreds of dollars to complete this . Fortunately I brought someone with sewing experience along on one of my visits, and they made some needed recommendations to Colea on fixing the jacket, which wasn't fitting right at all. I was dismayed that Colea hadn't thought of the simple alterations that were eventually done to improve the fit, and that they would have been willing to let me out the door without a proper fit. When I left with my outfit, the sleeves on the jacket weren't even ironed. Not impressed with this place at all. If you need a simple alteration done, perhaps they'd be ok (they didn't provide an itemized receipt, so I can't speak to charges for each individual sewing procedure).

After consulting 3 tailors in a city of 300,000, all of whom don't work on leather (?) I finally found a local LOCAL place (I almost didnt find it) after being referred by my boot resole guy (Ole's Shoe and Boot repair). If you are in Lincoln, NE, Colea Alterations is GREAT! They turned my custom sewn leather jacket around in a week, fitted it to me, cut and double stitched the sleeves AND gave me back the pieces. All this wrapped in a sunny disposition (Suzie, on the phone) and a genuine thank you-before I tipped. If you have any niggly doubts about some of your leather gear, and you dont' want to send it back for weeks or months for that 'one thing', tailors are not a scary place. I now have a new wearable friend that doesn't vex me every time I wear it, and knowledge of yet another place in Lincoln that does crafting, not just "sending it off to St. Joe....".

I have been working with Nicole and her staff for several years now I am a faithful et cetera shopper and on occasion will need alterations to make the clothing I purchase fit perfectly. At all times, the workmanship is excellent, the clothing is completed on time and I receive a prompt notification when the piece is done. I would not trust anyone else to do my altering or tailoring! Kudos to Colea Alterations!

I would not recommend these people. I went there once to get some jean shorts altered because I have an unusual body type and nothing I buy fits me. After deciding to get my jeans altered I thought I might be able to finally get something to fit me. At 60-some dollars for alterations for two shorts, the shorts STILL DON'T FIT. The seams ripped and a belt loop fell off not long after I got them. Unfortunately by that time I had lost the receipt and couldn't go back to ask for them to re-hem the jeans. The jeans I have are still too lose and fall off me. For it being so expensive, I expected better service. I do NOT recommend this place.

If I could give them 10 stars I would today. Excellent service. Friendly staff who were very understanding of our situation. Our uniforms look very nice. They were able to do my skirt and husbands pants in a short time. Will definitely be back for any future alterations and will recommend to friends and family.

Very nice friendly people when called to ask to have a emblem removed from my sweater. They said come on in and it took them 2 minutes to remove it so they said they wouldn't charge me. I'm telling everyone I know about this place

This is the only place I take my clothes for alterations! The staff is very knowledgeable and does quality work. I also enjoy the Etcetera trunk shows held there several times per year. During these events, the shop carries higher end pieces that are unique to anything else you can find in Lincoln.

So thankful for the ladies at Colea! I had a last minute emergency with my wedding dress two days before my wedding. They met with me right away and were able to fix it in time for the wedding! They were so friendly, professional, and did a great job. Saved my wedding day - I would never go anywhere else!

Nicole and her staff are amazing. It is impossible to find bridesmaids dresses in plus sizes. So I ordered the largest size they made. It took several extra weeks to come in, but as soon as it did, I went to see Nicole. She was able to expand the dress to not only fit, but look great. I would contend that anyone can make things look good for small people, but making large people look good takes true talent. Thanks Nicole!
