If I could give 65 bad reviews, I would. That is how much it was for a simple hem for a single layered dress that didn't even cost $65 to start with. This was not a rushed job, as I took the dress in 2 weeks before I needed it back. I was shocked when she said it was $65. I have had complicated prom dresses with many under layers hemmed for less. Definately would NOT recommend and my family will never go back.

Kathy did an amazing job! She is a very sweet lady who tries to make sure her job is done great. She explained she needs to see jobs in person in order to see if it can be done instead of quoting over the phone and giving wrong prices. Which makes sense, how can someone quote for a job when the alteration can require uniquely different work. She gave me her suggestion on a bridesmaid dress that was different from what I originally went in for and it came out amazing! Definitely recommend going in person, once you meet Kathy you will see how knowledgeable she is at her work. She will not do a job she cannot feel confident in to have a customer complain.

Terrible, charged me 65 dollars to hem a cotton dress a couple inches, the dress doesn't have multiple layers or anything fancy. The dress cost me 20 dollars. To hem it was 65 dollars. Didn't give me an estimate when I asked for one either, I shouldn't have taken that as the red flag it was. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

My review is 6 months late. #shameonme I am originally from Miami, Fl. and I needed my graduation dress fitted. It was a dress I had custom made from REX Fabrics Haute Couture about 3 years ago, but I had never worn it. I went there and she reminded me of my abuela! I was so happy to see that they were hispanic and where I come from those ladies can SEW! Any whoot, I showed them my dress and they LOVED IT! I was confused at first, she was encouraging me to keep the dress the way it was, meaning NO ALTERATIONS. I was shocked! Ms. Kathy wasn't trying to take my money?! Her and her staff told me how beautiful I was in the garment and encouraged me not to change a thang! At the end of the day, I did not get my dress altered. The entire staff was soooooo supportive!!! I felt like family. Although I did not get any work done to my dress, she has won my trust. I saw lots of her work on the clothing racks and will be stopping by later this month...holiday party:) I will update this posting soon, but I must say, that visit was thee sweetest visit ever and she has already won a trustworthy star in my book. xoxoxo G

I believe this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. About a week ago I called Kathy's Alterations to set up an appointment for a wedding dress alteration. I was immediately told that she does not take appointments and that I just need to walk in for an alteration. When I tried to ask further questions about services, I was hurriedly told that I just need to come in, no appointment. The following Saturday I attempted to come in at around 1pm, but the store was closed, even though the Saturday hours listed on the door said 10am-4pm. So, I take off a few hours of work the following Wednesday to come in around noon. When I told Kathy that I would like an alteration on a wedding dress, she immediately tells me that she does not do wedding dresses. Now, my wedding dress is a simple white dress that I bought online, something someone would wear on a casual night out. When I tried to tell her this, she would not even look at it, just kept saying that she does not do wedding dresses since they take too long. If Kathy had originally let me ask about her services on the phone, I would not have wasted so much time trying to come in only to be rejected. Would not recommend this place solely on this terrible experience.

Just went in to be measured for a sports coat. I need it done in the next couple of days and told her I'd pay whatever it costs. She informed me that she wasn't able to measure because they don't do that there unless you already have it with you. So, this place can't do measurements and charges 15 dollars to alter pants...which takes a week...I won't be back

Drastically overpriced for the work. I took in three shirts to have the sleeves shortened roughly an inch. Charged me $34... per shirt.

I have went here several times and each time the work was done b4 or on time. You can pay extra to have rushed service, which I like. The work is very neat and clean. I have had custom complicated work done here and was charged very fairly.Don't worry about if she doesn't answer the phone keep trying. She is always very busy but manges things very well.

Ordered a coat online knowing it would require alterations. Found KATHY through a google search. Her store is neat clean easy to find. KATHY was kind considerate and very honest. She was reluctant to do the alteration at first wanting to preserve to quality and style of the garment. Wow who is that honest in business? I was able to convince her to do the alteration a little differently than she had imagined and cannot wait to get my coat back. Thanks KATHY.

Dropped off 2 pairs of shorts to get the legs shortened, and the 3/4 hems have already come out of them. Nothing fancy either, both just golf shorts. Only got to wear them 2-3 times a piece before they were off to a new tailor. She charged me $15 each and they took a week to complete too. I will not be back.

Kathy is wonderful. She was shortstaffed and was still able to shorten up the sleeves on a new suit jacket under a serious time constraint. Prices on alterations seem very reasonable. I will be taking all my suits in for alterations soon.

Took jeans to get bottom down and will take around a week to be ready she charge $20 minimum. I'll update my review "Update: she did a great job, took me around 2 weeks to go pick my jeans but they turn out great :)" Would be great if it took Less time
