Quick turn-around time, excellent prices but sometimes that shows in the quality. I had two dresses altered at Executive Alterations – the first: the train still drug the ground after it was bustled, I voiced my concerns but she was leaving that day on a trip and her solution was to put a loop on the bottom so I could put it around my wrist – not a great solution for ballroom dancing. The dress was a sheath dress and she didn’t take up the hips much/enough so it made it look like I have huge hips (although I didn’t notice it until I got wedding photos back ☹) The second dress was also a little long, but we decided it would be okay because it had an abnormal beaded belt as well as detailing on the bottom so it would have been difficult to remove length (I was fine with this). The second dress also needed taken up a little in the chest/ribs area, which was done perfectly, but when it was taken up an eye hook for the Watteau (a cape-like attachment to the back of the dress) was covered (didn’t exist anymore), which I didn’t realize until wedding day when my Watteau wasn’t attached right. Bless one of my bridesmaids for knowing how to sew and fixing it the day of, but I wish we didn’t have to worry about it. She was very concerned about being comfortable, but when I was only wearing one dress for an hour or two, I would have rather it be tight and look really good rather than be a little looser and more comfortable.
