Kim's is amazing. I brought in a new uniform on Saturday afternoon and they were able to have it sewn, hemmed, and dry cleaned all by Sunday afternoon. The ladies working there were a great help and saved me in a pinch. I Highly recommend

Waited over a week to get stripes sewn on. Turned me away 3x saying to come back later. I would be fine if she wasn't the one herself telling me to comeback every single time. The stripes when I did get them sewn on were not even.

Every bad review you're reading is true. Dropped off my military dress uniform on Monday for my inspection the following Monday and was told Thursday and I'd be able to get needless to say they were not ready and ive been back 3 times and now waiting in the parking lot Monday afternoon to have them finished. Please seek another alteration shop and avoid the smell of animal piss and not getting your items back in time

I dropped my Mardi Gras dress off almost 3 weeks ago and called 2 days in a row during business hours and no one answered. I told them I would try it on a week post taking out inches in the hips, so since they didn’t answer my calls on Thursday and Friday I just went up there on Saturday, now keep in mind I could zip the dress before taking it to her it was just a little snug, when I tried it on Saturday she never took out the was, I couldn’t zip it, she fixed the length and made my straps on my shoulders which this dress is suppose to be an off the shoulder dress. She process to tell me I got fatter since last trying on, I lost 2 pounds since I got the gown how can it not zip now, she said she would fix it and to come back Sunday. So I did just that, the dress this time would not even go over my hips and because she said I got fatter. I measured my hips and I lost 1/2”, told her no ma’am I actually lost weight and inches. She said she would fix it and come back Monday. I asked her where are you going to take it out at because she never pins or marks where to take it out at. I said will you be open New Year’s Day, she said yes it’s Korean culture to work on New Year’s Day. So here I am for the 2nd time today once at 1130 And once at 1330. I will be requesting my dress back without pay and take it else where because I need it to fit in 5 days.

Wife had a hole in some pants, so we took them in, and she said to come pick up in 2 hours. Went back 1.5 hours later, and they were ready, and she didn't even charge us a dime! Couldn't ask for better service!

Worst experience I've ever had. Dropped my clothes off on Monday said it'd be done Thursday. Called so I could be fitted in them the next Monday. Imagine, they weren't even finished being dry cleaned. Place smelled like cat piss, should definitely tell you something about their clothes. When I say mess, WOW. Doesn't begin to explain it. No idea how they are still in business. My gf picked them up. Should not have paid them. Visible iron marks everywhere cat & dog hair on my jacket. MILITARY BEWARE, your clothes are laying on the floor.

Do not go here. I took in my military blouse to get altered. I was barely given a look, and she said she could do what I wanted. I was not given a stub, or told when it would be ready. Needless to say, when I picked it up, my blouse was tight and loose in the wrong places, not to mention falling apart already where she'd sewn it. I was only charged $5, but the work to correct all the damage will be much more expensive. The store is also in complete disarray and smells. Do not go here; it will cost you.

Terrible service!!!!! The dress I took in to get altered was not done in time. I was promised it would be fixed in two days. When I went to pick it up I was told to come back the next day because the lady “forgot” to do it. I went back again the following day and still the lady “forgot” to do it. I even called earlier that same day to confirm it would be finish and was promised it would be done after 5pm. I would never go back. Very unprofessional.

No for real there are the two nicest ladies that work there. It’s like $4 at the Base Exchange and it takes a week, but here it’s $2 and it takes no time at all. Here’s a story: Me and my friend turned in 4 pairs of ABUs to get operational badges sewn on and they were a little backed up, but she said they would be ready in an hour. So we came back an hour later and with another one of my friends who also needs the same work done with one ABU, but they were close to closing time so we figured he could pick it up tomorrow. Still better than the WEEK it takes the BX! Anyways, we get there and he’s like yeah I’ll come get it tomorrow and the lady at the sewing machine is like, “No, you’re friends right? Friends stick together! I’ll do it now!” Lo and behold she friggin’ sews on this operational badge in literally 2 minutes. And it isn’t shoddy work. It’s perfectly straight and the thread is the right color. I’m not a tailoring connoisseur or anything, but for the speed and half the price of the BX I highly recommend this place!

Pros: Experienced and great at alterations. Cons: Turnaround time usually extended (once you go to pick the item up). BIGGEST CONCERN- the odor of dog urine. Whatever clothing item you leave there will be returned with a healthy stench of dog urine. I've had my suit dry cleaned at a different cleaner after I picked it up from there and the smell is still present. I can not recommend the shop for this reason.

They just suck! They don't open on time. The two people don't communicate. Needed a name tag. Was told the other girl comes in later and it would be ready the next day. Came back the next day and the same lasy told me she forgot to tell the other girl about the order. The place is a mess. Came back the third day and they are supposed to open at 10:30. Well they are late on that too!

I’m going to be honest Kim is very sweet but save your money and go somewhere else. So I had taken two pairs of ABUs, a blues shirt and my light weight jacket two weeks before I went back home they told me come back next week so I went and to find out my stuff was not ready my stuff was finally ready TWO DAYS before I went home I pretty much had to call them every day so they could hurry up and get my things done when I went to go get my stuff they lost a pair of my ABU pants and ruined the other pair of pants my blues shirt was ruined and my two ABU tops looked like nothing was done to them I had a terrible experience.

DO NOT COME HERE. I brought 5 items to be altered and asked if she could do them in two weeks. She said that it was more than plenty of time. I came back from college three weeks later, and they were still not done because she FORGOT... I give her two more weeks. Still not done. It has now been well over a month, came back from college again to pick them up. STILL NOT DONE. I finally just took my clothes to take them somewhere else. Worst service ever. If I could give her 0 stars, I would.

HORRIBLE!!!! *Do NOT waste your time or money! I'm serious! I took my dress in to get altered, was promised it would be ready the next day... for a wedding! I expressed to her how important it was and that it was for a wedding.... needless to say she did not care considering she didn't even open the business until two hours later and hadn't even started on the dress!!!! This was just a living nightmare. You can't operate a business like this. Do yourselves a favor and find a reliable place that does a good job because this was just ridiculous.

Horrible service. She is a cheat. I had two old children's quilts that needed new fabric. Kim said she could do what I asked (just re sewing new fabric over the old material on both sides) and said it would be ready in 3-4 days and she would charge me $50. Wasn't too happy about the price since I provided the new fabric but didn't know of anywhere else to get the job done. They weren't done when I went back, and Kim said they will be ready in 3 days. I got there in the morning and the blankets were still laying in the same chair they were the first time I went back. Kim then said they will be done after 4. When I went back she said it was done, but I found only one side of the blankets were done. When I told her they weren't ready she was very rude and wouldn't let me finish talking. When I tried to remind her what she said she would do. She kept interrupting and arguing with me, telling me I was wrong. At one point she called me a liar. She charged me full price for a half done job. Horrible business woman and very rude.

All the reviews are true , sometimes they great and other times they fall short. Ocassionally they make mistakes however the owners are sweet people that are trying their best with a large workload. Mrs Kim especially always works hard for her customers.

They did a great job with my uniform and had it done quickly for me. I was looking to get my uniform fitted and after the first try it was still a little to loose and they were kindly fixed it and now my uniform fits like a glove. The staff here were very friendly and called me ahead of time to let me know my uniform was ready. All in all I would definitely recommend them to any one that needs alterations.

I took in a military blouse to be taken in at the waist That was it I only wanted the waist done However, she decided for some reason to do the sleeves as well, now they are too tight and too short for my liking Also, the stripes are not even centered on the sleeves, and are too far back It all looks ridiculous and is uncomfortable Not to mention I dropped off everything on a Friday and was told to pick them up Monday... nothing was ready and I didn't get anything back until the following Thursday

I took my ABU's to kims for alterations on Friday. They were ready for pick up by Sunday. She got them done super quick and they fit perfectly. She also did a same day alteration on a dress I bought and had it done in less than an hour.

Had everything sewn on and dry cleaned in two days. The place is in disarray and there is a TV on with loud Korean show, but they know where everything is and remembered me. I will do business with them again, no issues from me.

Don't listen to the bad reviews here. I just went in and needed an emergency fix for my ABUs and to sew on badges. She did it on the spot and fixed all the messed up chevron's on my uniforms. All for like 6 bucks. Don't go to the base. Come here.

Kim's is great if you need a small alteration to your uniform right-away; rank up, operational badge- that sort of thing. She will do the job right there and then. But if you drop-off items, call before you go to pick them up because they are usually not finished when promised. Still, I have been very satisfied with all the alterations they have do for me (and they have been many).

Took a couple abu tops to get badges sewn on. She stopped what she was doing, completed the work and I was out the door not 10 minutes later. The price was very good imo. $2 / badge. If i weren't leaving soon, I would come back here whenever I needed work done. The place looks questionable, but I found it very suitable.

Very courteous, understanding, helpful, and friendly! Went to drop off some material to be sewn for a Halloween costume, and they were so helpful, respectful, and courteous! Would highly recommend! Nicest people you could do business with in this area!

Terrible service, will take ribbons off uniform and claim you never turned them in. Clothes weren't done when they were supposed to, came the day of and they opened 2 hours later. Place wreaks of urine from animals walking around. Would not recommend. Go across the street to the different alterations store
