Review update: I called into Olmira’s regarding my dress situation and they offered to do another alteration. I declined since they have already worked on my dress twice with no improvement except the hem line. They did give me a full refund of both alterations. I have upped my review to 2.5 stars. I would still recommend them for simple alterations, leave the fancy garments to the professionals. Original review: I have been to Olmira’s a few times in the past, all for bridesmaid dresses. In the past I only needed to get my dresses hemmed and they did a great job in a timely fashion for a reasonable price. This time I needed to get a bridesmaid dress taken in and hemmed. My experience was not the same, unfortunately. My dress had to be altered twice, I was charged both times - even though the second alteration was to do things the seamstress said would be done the first time. My dress is now extremely tight in the bust and waist (when it was originally much too large), there are frayed edges showing in numerous places, and the inside of the dress has an unfinished seam, leaving a big hole. The seamstress complained both times about my dress having pleats, and instead of saying that she wasn’t comfortable altering it and referring me elsewhere, she altered it making some very noticeable mistakes at a ridiculous price. I will not recommend Olmira’s any longer unless it is for a simple alteration.

I just picked up my wedding dress that was altered here and all I can say is WOW. I had a couple things done to my dress but the main one was my lace sleeves that were too short & she cut them off completely and made them from scratch & they look even better than original. I am at a loss for words. Will never go anywhere else. Great attention to detail and oh so affordable! Definitely recomend to everyone!

Wow! I just had to come on here and leave a review. I had a fantastic experience. My dress was altered quick, she did an excellent job and was very affordable and its awesome that this is a family owned business. I am absolutely sure another tailor would have been much more expensive. I was very happy at the price and left with a smile on my face. I told her I was self conscious about my arms and she made sure to alter the sleeves in a way they still cover my arms. Love my dress. She turned it from drab to fab! Thank you so much! This was a bridal gown too! I'm going to look beautiful on my big day.

Not thrilled with the service. I live out of town but came here because it was recommended to me. During measurements, I felt like a burden and was rushed out. Thought maybe she was just having a bad day, but it happened again when I came back in for pickup. They even told me it wasn't ready on time so now I have to make the drive again. If you decide to come here, it's also helpful to know they're cash/check only.

I brought my wedding dress here and LOVED IT! I had a few simple alterations done: shortened the straps, had cups put in, hemmed the bottom and add a bustle. The work took 10 days and looks beautiful. Huge plus, IT WAS VERY REASONABLY PRICED. I'm having my bridesmaids come here as well and will definitely be back if I need more alterations!

I have only made one phone call to her....very nice! They are open Monday - Thursday 9am-6pm and Friday 9am-5pm. To add elastic cuffs to my husband's heavy leather jacket is $14. To replace the zipper on my flannel jeans is $13. Both prices are parts AND labor! A co-worker has been using her for 15yrs! I will definetly be going there!

They had a GREAT price (at least half of another place I went) the turn around time was great (again 1/2 the time) and friendly staff. I had my hem shortened and my bust area fixed on my bridesmaid dress.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. 5 years ago I had my prom dresses done here which were just a simple hem and they turned out great. This year I am getting married and needed my size 12 wedding dress brought down to about a size 2 or 3. We had multiple fittings which I really appreciated to make sure it was coming along the way I wanted it to. She did everything I asked and my dress is perfect! Great prices too!

Olga the lady at Almira tailor shop is the best I have ever had. She does a wonderful job. She is my adviser and designer when it comes to slim fit men’s wear. She is relatable and very understanding. She is now like a sister and I trust her with my cloths. If you don’t know this little secret - I am very picky but she tolerates me.
