We are visiting from New York, and needed an overnight suit hem and cuff for a wedding. Returned the next day to find the suit was done, and done extremely well. Extremely impressed with the speed of service and quality of the service. Can't recommend Marta's enough!!

Appreciate their service excellence . I always prefer local sources instead of brand names . If you think alike, please give a try this shops with service quality maintain the same ( some time even better ) compare brand store . I did jeans alter many times .. Always on time and perfect stitching , much lower prices

I've been going here for 15 years. I've never had a bad experience until recently. The work on my daughters dress was not completed when I arrived for pick up. I offered to come back in 2 days, and when I did, the work was still not done I waited for about 15 minutes while the work was completed, to prevent having to come back again. I'm giving 4 stars because although this time was not good, I've had a dozen other visits that were great.

Technically I won't give it any stars because I had the worst service ever today! My family has been going up there for over 30 years and I went in to bring a dress that I bought off of wish for $15 just to get it altered slightly because I couldn't zip it up all the way in the back. I have problems in the past with another costume with the lady being rude to me over it but I decided to dismiss it because it had good reviews. Don't get me wrong, they do great work but the service is s***. I asked them in advance how much it was going to be because I had a limit on what I was willing to spend the lady that was helping me said they will give me a call. After 3 weeks I went down there to find out what was going on with my dress and it was done and they said it was going to cost $55. While we were arguing over the fact that I never got a call in the first place because if they would have told me that I would have brought my dress elsewhere. They said they were too busy to call me and worked on the dress anyways and refuse to give it back to me because they already worked on it well after some haggling the lady who was the owner finally dropped the price a bit even though that price was still a bit expensive. My mother said she's been going there for over 30 years and that she just lost some business and the owner said "that's fine! I don't care. see you." She never even apologized either.

Marta's Shop is a gem. A shop that you don't get to see much of anymore. I tell everyone about Marta's. I don't know how she does it. But there she is seeing away as you walk through the doors. Drops everything and in a much professional rush, whisks you away to the dressing room as you tell her what you so desperately need and when you so desperately need it by and pin, pin, pin.....viola...Like magic, you come back a couple days later and the once defected Mother of the Brides dress(purchased elsewhere), is fixed beautifully and fits exactly the way it should. Wow she is magic, I swear!! I will be taking all my tailoring needs no where else but her at Marta's Tailor Shop.

I had some curtain panels sewed together. The price was ok, however when I drop them off I had them folded nicely. My wife picked them up they were just tossed into a box. All wrinkled up. Also she was going to open the seams to be sewed together. This did not happen. So I lost an inch in total width. Never again will I go here.
