Tried to get an 1 1/2 in hem in waist let out on two pairs of dress pants. They wanted $75.00 up front before work was done and would take a week. I have never heard of having to pay for work before completion and I thought that was a lot of money for small amount of work. I left and will not be back.

John is the only local tailor I now trust with my tailored clothing. I have many suits from the 1930's to 1950's (as well as modern suits), and some from England. A different tailor butchered many of them. John fixed them up and they now look fabulous. Some of the antique clothing isn't in such great condition when purchased, or they're sized wrong. When John is finished with his (must be) magic, they all look as good as new. Because of his high tailoring standards, I no longer have to worry about getting a perfect fitting garment, as I have stumbled across the master... John.

Southdale Jcrew originally referred my family and I to John to alter a couple bridesmaid dresses. Since then (8 years) I have continued business with this very genuine and talented man! He has now altered 5 bridesmaid dresses of mine and has never let me down. This past week I had an emergency bridesmaid alteration needed and the dress was taken care of within 24 hours. John has an amazing eye for clothing and is very sweet to work with! Would gladly pay prices to this local shop to support such an amazing family business.

Johns Tailors is the only place I go for alterations! John is wonderful to work with and his price, speed, and quality can't be beat! I've used John for a number of professional pieces, including hemming lined pants and taking in pinstripe pants that were two sizes too big. John matched the pattern so well, you can't tell anything was altered. I also use John specifically for alterations to ballroom dance dresses and highly recommend him to all of my dancing friends. John has been a dream working with difficult fabrics and non-traditional requests and restrictions: fabrics with 4-way stretch, very thick or very thin fabrics, fabrics with heavy decoration, and costumes that are skin tight while not restricting movement and flexibility. John always helps me achieve the look I'm going for. I trust hardly anyone to work on my costumes, but I would trust John any day!

I had a dance competition I was leaving for in less than 24 hours, and I discovered that I had lost so much weight that my pants no longer fit correctly. John managed to alter my pants and have them back to me in time to catch my flight. His work is fantastic.

Seriously one of the best Tailors I have ever used! Customer service is excellent, John makes you feel right at home. The quality is second to none - I have brought anything from pants needed to be hemmed to Jackets with holes and every time it comes out looking like there was never an issue in the first place. ALSO - If you're looking for someone who can work with ballroom costumes with all the different types of material and stoning he's your man! I have gotten Tail suits, Smooth and Stand gowns, Rhythm dresses altered and patch with amazing results. I rarely leave reviews, but I have been so completely blown away by the service and quality that I had to leave a remark!
