As someone who recently moved to the Novi area, I had to find a new tailor. After a Google search I found that Oxford Tailor and Clothing had the best reviews, and for good reasons! Abe was absolutely fabulous and I cannot say enough good things about this place. I came in with a pair of pants that needed hemmed ASAP, and Abe squeezed them in and I had them back in less than an hour. The price was incredibly reasonable - I would have been willing to pay double what I did for having an express order. Do yourself a favor and give Abe a try...you definitely won't be disappointed!

I went in to have my dress hemmed at the bottom for a wedding, because it was dragging on the floor, it was so long! I was given the option of when I wanted it done, which was great, but I didn't need it any time soon, so he said to give him a week. When I got it back, it was perfect! It fit really well, and it was the perfect length; it didn't touch the floor, but it wasn't too short where it looked awkward. I will definitely be returning for any of my tailoring needs.

Read this, because you can't go wrong with OXFORD TAILORING!! Literally NOT kidding. BEST TAILOR EVER!! Now I may be biased because he gave me candy... and I love candy. But really they are the nicest people ever!! They give you the best deals/prices. Customer statisfaction is definitly their number one priority! I came in on a Thursday and needed to have my suit done by Monday. I asked politely, and they politely obliged. Adele measured me out exactly the way I wanted without me having to tell him anything. He was fun and friendly, making jokes and making me feel comfortable. I ended up staying to talk with him and his brother Abe for a while. I purchased ties and pocket squares and he gave me a GREAT deal on the ties. There is a reason their reviews are amazing and they have been around for so long. They are there to help you. I went to Adel with a few pairs of jeans I needed shortened and wow he did a great job in record time! I could not have been more pleased. His work really does put other tailors to shame. Also customer service is number 1 with this business! I actually left after having my jeans shorted and brought back a dress that I bought an hour later and had him shorten it. I can not believe the workmanship that he puts into every item he touches plus he is so friendly and honest. I will be a customer for life! So nice to find such a great local business!

I recently brought some of my Army uniforms here to get patches sewn on and couldn't be happier. Originally I brought my uniforms to another tailor in the area and had horrible results. Abe was able to fix the mistakes of the other tailors and had everything sewn on according to Army regulation. Bottom line if you want something done right make Oxford Tailor & Clothing your first stop.

So, this was my first time at a tailor. I went in thinking that no one could really help me. I had five shirts that were waaaay too big for me. I was already prepared to dispose of them. This guy checked my clothes and said he would need to remove about 4-6 inches off both sides of my shirts as well as the entire sleeve. I came back a week later, and was blown away at how well of a job he did. I recommend him to anyone who needs clothes fitted. This guy works miracles!

Got my worn out jeans repaired here. The jeans was liked torned by dogs on the crotch and miraculously they managed to save my jeans. It was good as new and could be used for few more years! Also had 2 suits altered and they did a great job on those as well. This is my go to place for any alteration or repairs. Highly recommended!!!

I had a bridesmaid dress that was WAY too big, about 5-6 sizes too big. Not to mention it was strapless, and I'm what many people would be called blessed. I brought my dress to Oxford Tailor, and let me tell you that the term "Miracle Worker" was used. My dress fit like a glove, and I was the ONLY bridesmaid who didn't have to hike their dress up once. I have another wedding to stand up in, and I plan on bringing that dress in too!

My wife and I brought her dress here to be tailored since the rating was so high. The seamstress was rude and she wouldn't listen to what my wife wanted. The tailor then told us it would cost $400 to have the dress tailored the way she wanted it, which was completely absurd. While my wife was changing the tailor was talking with some other people about how he buys socks for 65 cents and then sells them for $8. Why would you talk about how you gouge your customers after you just gave me a ridiculous quote? We left and found another tailor that gave my wife exactly what she wanted for $150. I'm still dumbfounded by how unprofessional Oxford was and how they tried to rip us off.

Abe's honesty and integrity to excellent service, in both a timely and professional manner exemplify what customer service and what assets other small business should strive to be like to make an impact like Oxford does. Bought a wedding dress from china and needed it altered. The dress was complicated because it had lace sleeves and very fitted bodice with boning. They did absolutely beautiful work and you couldn't tell it had been let out. The dress fit perfectly and it was done when they said it was going to be. I would highly recommend them!

I brought a silk bridesmaid dress to Oxford for alterations, and the owner, Abe, basically made a custom dress for me. He re-did the seams and shortened and re-shaped the dress to fit me perfectly. The seams and stitching are *perfect*, and it was done in less than ten days. The price is very, very reasonable for the exceptional work they do. I won't take my clothes anywhere else.

Bought a suit for my bestfriends wedding and the pants were insanely big, I wear a 46 jacket and a 33 pant, the pants that came with the suit were a size 40 was told by acouple different tailors in the area that I was out of luck too much alterations were needed but my man here at Oxford came through didn't make me feel bad and got the job done for a great price and the fit is great. Highly recommend and will be coming back for any changes I need in my wardrobe down the road!

I had a dress altered and could not have been more satisfied. From the service, to the talent, and the price, it all had exceeded my expectations. It only took 5 minutes to tell him what I needed done, he completely understood what I wanted, and he had the dress ready within a few of days. I visited Oxford yesterday after reading all of the positive reviews. The other reviews were there for a reason. I was very pleased with my experience. I asked for their opinion on what alterations for a jacket and pants were needed and they gave me their honest opinion, but they did not push the options and were more than willing to do everything suggested or only some of them. I trusted their expertise and went with all the suggested alterations. The final price was more than fair. I also needed the alterations done quickly and they were more than accommodating to get the work done on short notice. I was very happy with my overall experience and will definitely be returning.

Great customer service! I brought in a 700 dollar suit that was brand new but didnt fit like a nice suit should. I told them I needed it tailored in less than a week and they recommended many great things. It was done the day they said it would be, it fits perfectly, and looks great. I recently had a dress that needed minor alterations so I brought it to Oxford Tailor. here and they had the dress for over a week and did NOT steam it. They gave it back very wrinkled. It was a mess. I was not asked to try it on to see if it fit properly. They made me pay before I had the alterations done so I couldn't argue with the service. I would not recommend this place as I do not trust them. They just want to make a buck off their customer instead of providing good service.

They did a great job tailoring the dress, however I do feel it was a bit overpriced, especially after talking with another tailor afterwards. The real reason behind my 3 star rating is the fact that they stained my dress. The dress had what appear to be grease stains down the back of it along the seam, which then required me to take the dress to a dry cleaner for spot cleaning. Very disappointing for the price I paid to have the dress tailored.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Why? For an amazing, top-notch, classy men's clothing store, Adel fixed my rescued greyhounds jackets without blinking an eye! How AWESOME is that! I walked up to the door one morning and figured I shouldn't go in as it was a really nice men's clothing store... not your typical alteration place. Instead, I opened the door a sliver and asked Adel if I was in the wrong place, he welcomed me in and asked what I needed in the kindest way possible! Adel was full of questions about my greyhound Lola and what I needed. I wanted a couple harness openings made in two custom made jackets, eazy peazy! Adel is a genius!! He knew what I wanted! I felt completely confident in his abilities to get these alterations right. Adel was SPOT ON! He not only made the harness openings etc. he went beyond a simple stitch and made the alterations looks aesthetically beautiful as well!! Thank YOU so much!! Lola looks extra cute with your help!! I am so impressed by Oxford Tailors. They are friendly and confident because they know their clothing. I went in looking for a suit, and they quickly surmised my style (more trim fit suits with tapered pants, etc.) and were able to tailor the suit perfectly the first time. The suit was a reasonable price, and was even ready a few days before the promise date. They also carry a very nice selection of Bugatchi shirts and several brands of slacks. They carry ties, belts and other accessories. It's a nice little shop and I will absolutely be back.

So I bought a pair of $230 jeans. I needed them to be altered from the knee down so I went searching for nearby tailors. I noticed Oxford Tailor & Clothing had 5 stars on Google and immediately drove up there to get my pants altered. I walked in and the gentleman working in the back greeted me. I asked him if he could taper my pants from the knee down to a 5.5 inch opening and he went on to tell me that I wouldn't be able to get my foot in the pants and how they would be a little long and would not fit (I have pants that have a 5 inch opening and fit just fine and the cut is supposed to stack which is why they're a little long, which I explained to him). After he charged me $30 up front (way more than any other near by tailors I found out recently) to taper them I left to return shortly after. Once I picked the pants up and got home and tried them on I noticed that the length had been altered to fit how he told me they should after I said no and I noticed that the size of the legs were now different! one is pulled tightly across my calf while the other is baggy. All in all, save your money and time and find somewhere else. This tailor ruined my brand new pair of jeans!

My family and I have been going to Oxford for a long time, and every time the quality of the tailoring and the people are excellent. Everyone is so personable and accomodating, always willing to take rush orders, and the price is always very fair. I mostly get my jeans and regular pants shortened, but my mom gets all her suites shortened at Oxford's and they alway turn out great! Anyone who needs to get any tailoring done should definitely go to Oxford's!

I've been going to Oxford Tailor for over 2 years now, and have always been happy with the service and results. The brothers, Abe and Adele, are both very friendly, and are able to do any alternation you need in a reasonable (usually quick) time frame. They are both easy to talk to & get to know you and your preferences; or maybe that means I come by too often! A lot of my clothing I bring consist of suits, sport coats, dress trousers, which are expensive items. So, when it comes to a tailor, I want to make sure they are in good hands & I never question that with these guys. Fine tailoring is not cheap by any means, but these guys are worth the price, every time.

Very happy with the service. Brought in a suit that I bought off of eBay. It had to be from the 70's. Flared pants and everything. The tailor did a custom fit on the whole thing and turned it around in less than five days for me. I will definitely be coming back!

Not only did they get the job done quickly (even with a holiday weekend), they worked with me as far as scheduling fittings and even came in on their off days just to squeeze me in. WOW!!! I took my wedding dress in to have a top created out of it for my 10 year wedding anniversary party. I was told by several other alteration stores that they could not help me it was to risky. Abe was willing to take on the project and loved the idea. He is AMAZING he worked with me on all the details and made sure it fit perfect. He even hand sewed more of the appliques to the areas we had to add more fabric to. My dress was turned into a beautiful corset top that looked awesome with a simple pair of navy blue slacks. They returned all the extra fabric so I can make something else out of it later. All my friends could not believe what I had done and I felt amazing wearing such a sentimental item again. My husband loved it and said I looked beautiful. Thanks to Oxford Tailor & Clothing for making a dream come true I will remember you guys every time I wear it!
