Reasonable prices, amazing skill, accurate turnaround times, and honest advice that I have not found in other local tailors can all be found at Crown. My first experience with Crown was to review another tailor’s alterations which seemed off to me. He immediately identified the issues, and others, and was beyond reasonable in his price and turnaround time. After receiving the finished product, it was night and day – I was shocked to see what a skilled tailor could really do after years of not knowing any better - and I wear a suit every day of the work week. Considering that he makes custom suits, Mohammed’s experience in that area is above and beyond others that I have gone to in the past. Crown is now my go-to tailor for all of my suits, most of which are made to measure. Mohammed takes something that is better than off the rack and makes it amazing every time. He has even taken time to plan out my first custom suit even though it is likely months away. Go to Mohammed – you won’t be disappointed.

Just to fix the gapping in my top and the hem on my wedding dress he wanted to charge 110% more than what I paid for my dress. Going elsewhere. The custom men’s jackets looked incredible though. Mohammad has been my tailor since 2012 - his work is absolutely flawless. I have recommended Mohammad to family and friends and everyone has been thrilled with the quality of his work. Mohammad was able to take a size 10 coat and make it a perfectly fitted size 0. He sewed in extra fabric just in case it ever needs to be taken out. When I bought my bridal gown I liked it. After Mohammad took it in, added a back, added sleeves I loved it. I didn't think it was possible to work with such an intricate, delicate lace fabric . The dress, like the rest of Mohammad's work was flawless - non of my family or friends can even believe that the dress came sleeveless with no back. I would recommend Mohammad without hesitation! His attention to detail, the quality of his work and his incredibly kind personality make him superior.

I was traveling from DC to MI for a wedding and needed to get my suits tailored. As I was driving I randomly saw this place so I figured I'd give it a try. As soon as you walk in you could tell, this place does amazing work. From just the selection of suits he has, the items to choose from, the style of stitching, you can see its clean work. Mr. Kalam tailored both of my suits in under a week for a steal! I loved his work so much, I purchased a top coat as well (which I will pick up in a few weeks). Having worked in the Senate, this is hands down the best you will find! Mr. Kalam is officially my suit guy, and I will travel from DC every time I need to get a new suit or have one altered.

I wanted someone that cares about small details and overall quality of their work. I didn’t want anyone touching my suit that i know wasn’t the best of the best. Well, Mohammad is thee best of the best. Not only did my tuxedo fit wonderfully, Mohammad finished with a tight schedule. I dropped it off Monday and he was ready Thursday morning as promised. After I got my dress shirt from the cleaners, i realized it was way too baggy. It was 7:30 and my event was tomorrow. I called Mohammad panicking seeing what he can do. Even though he closed at 8, he told me to come in. I arrived at 7:50 and he was finished by 8:30. He stayed over time just to help me and he did it at no cost just to help me out. Not only did he gain a loyal customer, but a friend as well.

Went in there today based off the good reviews here. It was just a woman there working when I stopped. She fixed my suit pants right then and there, no wait. Maybe they had enough time to do so and it was a quick fix, but still. That's service!

I am so glad I chose this establishment to alter a sport coat and pant. I worked with Mohammed, who is a master tailor, and more importantly, is a kind, patient, and empathetic man who prides himself on providing for his customers. I felt unbelievably comfortable and confident in his abilities, and could not have been happier with the results. He helped convert a sport coat that was more classic in cut, to modern form shortening both the sleeves and the length of the jacket. Countless times the sport coat has been mistaken for high end italian designers. The prices are very reasonable, and his ability to accommodate last second alterations was truly a life saver. I dropped off mid afternoon on a Wednesday in anticipation of a Friday wedding and I picked up both tailored to perfection on Thursday evening. I could not have asked for more from a tailor. I went to Crown Custom Clothing after reading other Google and Yelp reviews. I am glad that I went to Crown Custom Clothing! The purpose of my visit was to have an expensive Harris Tweed suit that I bought in Scotland tailored. When I entered the store, I was immediately met by Mohammed and his assistant who welcomed me into their store. Mohammed took the time to explain the areas where the suit needed to be tailored and why. He was quick and efficient during the time he was placing pins in the jacket and marking the pants for hemming and asked me for my feedback in how I was hoping the suit would fit when he was done. We agreed that I would pick the suit up one week later. When I went back after a week, my suit was tailored and cleaned. Mohammed asked me to put the suit on to make sure I was happy with the way it turned out, and I have to say that I have never had a suit fit me so well after having him work on it. The area of concern on the jacket now look perfect, and the hem on the pants sits exactly where I wanted it and breaks perfectly where it should for a modern suit. Not only was I apprehensive about finding a place that would do great work on an expensive suit, I was also concerned that it wouldn't come out exactly how I wanted it. After working with Mohammed, I can say that as long as he is in business, I will not go anywhere else!

I have been going to see Muhammad for nearly three years. I have been looking for a good tailor in the metro area for years, and I found Crown. Muhammad is simply the best. Fair prices, great work, and timely. He can do slacks, jeans, blazers, and he is very accommodating. I initially came to Mo to get some shirt sleeves shortened. I'm 5'6" and never could find a dress shirt that fit perfect. When I picked up the shirt from Mo and tried it on it was an unfamiliar feeling having a dress shirt actually fit. One shirt lead to all my dress shirts, then pants, then my off-the-rack suits. Eventually I decided to get my first bespoke suit. It took some time, but understand you cannot rush quality. Once my suit was ready, I stopped in to try it on. In my eyes it fit perfect, to Mo it did not. A few minor touches needed to be made, details I would have never noticed; apparently one of my arms is just a tad longer than the other. I never doubted his ability before, but this was when I knew for sure this guy was the best!

I wasn't sure of where to go for a few shirt alterations of shirts I got from the store that were a little too big. I looked around online and Crown was on the way from work so I decided to drop in and get my shirts done. The gentleman there was great, efficient and super knowledgeable, my shirts were no rush and got the fixes done in less than a week, and after sizing initially he had me try them on and did some last minute alterations all within the 15 minutes I stopped in to pick them up. Great quality here! I'll be back for sure!

I chose Mohammed because of his reviews and thought with the little bit in extra cost he must be good. My experience was bitter sweet and not worth the extra money. The dress turned out fine. In the beginning it was rough and my first fitting was a disaster. From not being ready on time to not being done right. I left and cried because my wedding dress, which once fit although snug and was asked to be taken out, no longer zipped up. I think he was trying to make light by making a joke about gaining weight - not funny. Mohammed fixed it and the next fitting was perfect. Unfortunately I paid the entire bill up front and while it was never hemmed I was never refunded the cost of the hemming (which would have been half the bill). The bustle (french) he put in looked awesome with my dress but when it came time to bustle after the cermony the thread was found to be busted so the evening was a bit of a pain to navigate. Overall it was an okay experience but definitely not worth the extra cost and while Mohammed is a delightful man I will not return.

Muhammad (owner and tailor) is the best. I took my brother to him to get a suit made for his wedding and it came out incredible. I basically go to Muhammed anytime I need anything altered. I live in St. Clair Shores, so it's a bit of a drive for me, but definitely worth the trip. My suit required a bit of work to get right, shortening the sleeves at the shoulders, lowering the collar, letting out and hemming the pants, but the final result is outstanding. In addition, I also had the sleeves let out on a vintage peacoat from the 1940s and the fit a dress shirt adjusted. Outstanding work, never pushy and very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back when I need alterations done in the future.
