I had the pleasure of using Sew More Couture for my wedding dress alterations in April 2018. I had traveled to Nashville to dress shop with my Mother-in-Law to be where I found a dress off the rack at a bridal warehouse. This left me the task of finding a local tailor. I visited and spoke with multiple tailors in the area, but none listened as well as the ladies at Sew More. As one example, the bodice of my dress appeared to fit great on the outside, but I was not comfortable with its tightness on the inside. My seamstress at Sew More was the only one who listened to my concern and accepted that the bodice needed to be opened slightly despite the work it required. My dress fit perfectly and comfortably for my wedding day. The alterations were flawless, timely, and reasonably priced. They also had convenient appointment times. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Sew More Couture did the alterations on my wedding dress. They did a fantastic job and the dress fit perfectly after they worked on it! I had a lot of lace and beading on the bust and sleeves and you couldn't see where they had removed fabric and sewed it back together. In addition to the alterations, they also added a 3-point bustle. The prices are very reasonable and they had all the work completed on time. If I need alterations done, I will be heading back to Sew More Couture.

I was very surprised to find a quality tailor amidst an unending number of "dry cleaner hack shops" that attempt alterations. Those shops are fine for daily military uniform care but if you need a quality shop with a skilled staff then Sew More Couture will meet your needs. I bought two new suits and had to have them professionally tailored. After having a $190 pair of slacks to my Army Dress White Uniform butchered at a prominent "cleaners hack shop" I gave Sew More Couture a chance. I have thighs larger than the industry manufactures slacks for my waist size thanks to all of the running and fitness I did in the Army. So I must buy slacks with a larger waist to fit my thighs and then have the waist and seat rebuilt. This is major surgery. The staff at Sew More Couture took their time, measured me and fitted everything, and then when one of the alterations was not "just perfect", they altered that without any issue. The staff was committed to my acceptance of their product and my being 100% satisfied and happy. I was so satisfied I tipped my seamstress and I DONT TIP! Don't waste your time or money anywhere else- look your best with a professionally tailored suit. They are that good.

Our experience with this shop was terrible. Poor service & horrible workmanship. Coat they worked on is ruined & will need to be re-done elsewhere. When we showed up to pick up on schedule (after 2 weeks), they said they hadn’t even started work on the coat because it had been misplaced and said I’d have to come back again later. When we finally got the coat back, several seams popped when I tried it on. They said “it’s fine, done worry about it”. I left & next day sure enough there was a big tear where the sleeve of the coat had come unstitched due to their careless workmanship. I then got stabbed by a long needle that they had carelessly left sewn into the lining of the coat. I’m stunned by the lack of pride or care in their work. I feel robbed out of my money. I deeply regret having trusted other reviews and would not recommend them to anyone.

I expected her to freak out a little but she never lost her cool-- and she altered it so that the dress fit like a glove. While Sew More Couture does alterations, offers custom drapery service, and is an authorized retailer for a few designers, the sewing classes are awesome! Whether you are 7 or 70, Vongie is patient and works with you to help you understand what you are doing while you create a project that you can use. You can bring your own sewing machine or use the ones she makes available for students. Sewing classes are available for all levels and interests. I recommend Sew More Couture. This is great place to learn to sew on any level. My daughters 10 and 11are learning to sew using a sewing machine for the first time. The instructor has machines to use or you can bring your own and be taught on it which is what we opted to do. The projects are fun and engaging. The instructor is wonderful. She is knowledgeable and works so well with everyone. The girls really enjoy there classes. It even makes me want to take a learn to sew class.
