This is the absolute worst business of all time. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR ALTERATIONS!!!!!! The owner is completely unprofessional and doesn't actually do what you ask her to do. For example, I went to pick up my wedding dress (it was supposed to be completely ready) and she played dumb acting like she didn't know it needed to be pressed. Then we gave her the extra time to steam the dress, came back and it was still completely wrinkled! She also completely messed up the bustle. It literally looks like my expensive dress has two butt flaps now. Now my wedding is one week away and I don't have time to fix this woman's mistakes. Absolutely ridiculous. I would NEVER bring another dress to this woman again, she is truly awful.

I took my daughter's formal military ball gown to Ruth to be altered. This dress needed extensive alterations. The bodice was completely beaded. This beading needed to be removed to alter and then replaced. My daughter had three fittings, the last to make sure it fit perfectly. Ruth was extremely professional, she made my daughter feel comfortable during the fittings, and the dress was perfect. We will never go anywhere else!

Last year I took my prom dress to Ruth's to be altered and she completely messed up my dress. The only thing she did right was the hem. She made the arm holes so small that I couldn't fit my arms through them. This caused her to have to cut my dress so much that it was only mesh on top instead of finished arm holes and neckline with cloth. I had to come back for several fittings before it was fixed to the point that I could wear it, but I still wasn't happy with it. It was an expensive dress that she ruined and still charged me over $100 to alter. Never going back.

I ordered a dress online and received it 2 days before my engagment pictures were being taken. When I received it, it had a giant hole in the back. The company said they were out of stock so they couldn't send me a new one. I was freaking out because I didn't know what I was going to wear so I googled places to see where I could get it fixed and Ruth's popped up. I brought my dress in and they fixed it right then and I was able to leave with it the same day! She even checked the rest of the seams to make sure they were ok! Great service! I will definitely return in the future. Thank you so much!

I took two pair of shorts to be shortened. They told me it would be 2 weeks. I thought that was awfully long but left them anyway. 2 weeks later i went to pick up my shorts and they hadnt even begun them. No explanations!!!!!!!

I had to have my clothes re-altered two times, because they were altered wrong. Then I was way over-charged: $120 for a pair of denim shorts, skirt and top. Shocked!

I had a terrible experience with Ruth. I took my dress to her for my wedding for alterations and to add sleeves. She was so incredibly unprofessional. I had an excessive amount of fittings because (and she even admitted this to me) that she only had time to work on my gown right before I walked in for my appointments. When I went to go pick up my dress for my final fitting, it wasn't ready. She said she was too busy to work on it and its not her fault that she had other bridal gowns to work on. I went back 2 days before my wedding to pick up my gown and she still hadn't finished it. When I broke down and started crying, she just kept repeating it wasn't her fault that she was too busy. I finally got my dress and during my wedding I kept tripping because it was still way too long. She didn't pin it for the hem, she was "too busy". Please DO NOT take your wedding gown, or anything important for that matter to Ruth. I wish I would have known this as it would have saved me a lot of stress and heartache.
