I had a largely positive experience but I can understand so of the frustrations shared in the negative reviews. I have to say the tailoring I go done was exceptional and he was extremely helpful. That being said, he's an extremely busy man during the Spring and Summer months (prom, graduation, and wedding season) and can lack some good time management. Overall, loved the locally run business and attention to detail.

Was in need of getting one of my jeans hemmed a bit shorter. Because the jeans were raw denim with a selvedge seam and chain stitched hems, I was very selective with who I wanted work on my denim. After reading the positive reviews on here and talking with Nicky over the phone, I felt comfortable enough entrusting him to take on the job. Nicky was upfront, honest, and explained the hemming process and other alterations pros and cons. I really appreciated it because it was not only a learning experience, but I really felt like Nicky cared about his clients their clothing alteration results. And although Nicky wasn't able to chain stitch the hem as he didn't have that kind of sewing equipment, my newly altered jeans turned out awesome nonetheless! Thanks so much!

Short story: I needed to shorten the sleeves on a new blazer. Nicky did an amazing job. Great attention to detail, quick turnaround, and very reasonable prices. What else can you ask for? Well, on top of everything, Nicky is very friendly and personable. Great experience overall and will definitely return to him in the future. Long story: I first took my blazer to my local alteration shop. They did a horrible job (they didn’t know what they were doing) and it wasn’t cheap either. I learned the lesson. Don’t think it twice, if you need any work done on your clothes take them to Nicky.

I called Nicky's super last minute to get a dress altered for a Christmas party, and he was extremely generous and helpful. I'm usually nervous about taking my nicer dresses to alteration shops because sometimes you never know how your clothes will end up looking after being put back together. But, my dress was flawless. Nicky did an amazing job in such a short amount of time. He made my Betsy Johnson velour holiday dress, that was once too big, fit like it was custom made for me. I met Nicky roughly 10 years ago. I was looking for a tailor who actually made and created his own garments without hitting you over the head price wise. Well visiting his shop was one of the best investments I have ever made. Simply put, he cares about his craft as well as his customers. The garments he has created for me still look great and get better with time. He has never attempted to dress me in a trendy way however he is honest about what looks best on me. If you are ever in need of a Great Tailor who doesn't outsource his suits but cuts and creates them himself, pay Nicky a visit. You will not be disappointed!!

I'm very disappointed with my experience. I was eager to take my wedding dress to Nicky's Tailoring after reading such great reviews. The first issue I had with the shop was a total lack of communication; I had left numerous voicemails and sent an email over the course of a week and received no response. Finally, someone answered when I called and told me I could bring my dress in. I went to the shop within a couple of hours of that call and met with another gentleman (Nicky wasn't there) I needed the bottom of my dress brought up (my dress is very simple, lace, no beading or embellishments.) He told me that they could bring the hem at the FRONT of my dress up, and even showed me how it's done referencing the seams that they would cut, etc. When I asked about also bringing the back of the dress up (since the back was even LONGER and obviously the entire hem should be proportionately altered) he sort of stumbled through why that wouldn't be possible, saying that there wasn't a seam that could be altered using the same method that he had just described for the front of the dress. When I showed him the seams that surround the entire circumference of the dress, he actually said "Yeah that would be a really big job" Um, okay? He clearly just didn't want to do the work that I was very willing to pay for. If wedding dresses aren't something this shop is interested in working on, they should be very clear about that and not waste precious time for potential customers.

Nicky is the best there is. I needed to get my wedding dress altered as it was ordered one size too small. I was panicking, crying in the inside and depressed all together. I couldn't return my ball gown dress so the the only option was to let out the dress. When I took it to him, he said that this is not a problem to him. He said he can fix it, and even gave me more ways he can do it than just one. If only I can show people the peace of mind he gave me. To hear that I have more than one option.. wow... Listen, I am already stressed out as a bride, but to have an issue with your dream dress; nobody wants that. So thank you Nicky for not only fixing my dress, but to bring me peace and happiness. I am forever grateful. You are the best! If you are looking for a humble, understanding, and very professional tailor. Look no further, he is the one you need.

Does not awnser the phone. I arrived at 5:40pm to grab my suit. The website and the sign on their door both said open. The door was locked, and nobody awnsered when I rang the bell, knocked, and called their phone. Won't be able to be early to the office in the morning as I planned because I will be attempting to get my suit.

I learned a long time ago, from folks I respect, that one is always better off building relationships with local professionals who can be relied on to to good work at a fair price. I think the simple direction I received was "you will never be diappointed with a purchase if you opt for quality". So I am delighted to have found Nicky's Tailoring. Nicky's shop is not the fastest, nor the cheapest. If you're looking for fast and cheap, just buy your clothes at a big box store, hope they fit and expect them to fall apart. Then repeat. And repeat. If you want to spend your time and money more wisey, go to Nicky's. You'll be happy you did, and Nicky's work will look great and last a long time. Your day will also be a bit brighter with a visit to Nicky's; he's a friendly and affable guy who happens to be a terrific tailor.

This is a great Tailor shop I recommend anyone give it a try! I found Nicky's Tailor shop from google map and saw two 5-stars reviews, not too many but better than other shops either have no reviews or bad reviews, so I decided to give this one a shot. When I waking into the shop, there are two gentlemen there. I have to use the gentlemen word here because both of them are so nice, friendly and professional in a gentlemen style! Nicky helped me to find out the correct lengths that should be shortened for both my suit jacket sleeves, the correct break for the pants (Since my suits are slim fitted, he recommend me go for no break which looks perfect!), and the right waist suppression to give me a V-shape. But what I really want to mention, other than "business", is that I learnt a lot about men's suit and shirt through this experience! By fit measurement, Nicky not only taught me what kind of length a shirt I should buy to fit my body, but also generously gave me a full body measurement without any charge. With the numbers, I can now easily find clothes that fit me from the internet! The interesting thing about the measurement was that he also found out that I have unbalanced shoulders! My families don't even know that! My left shoulder is slightly higher then my right shoulder. That means the sleeves should be shorten in different lengths to balance the look of the jacket. After all, I really recommend Nicky's Tailor shop for anyone who needs tailoring service! I also would like to thank the previous two gentlemen who gave the reviews about the shop so I could find it. That's also the reason I come back to write this review.

I found Nicky's Tailoring by google searching. Didn't see any reviews, so going there with my clothes felt like a bit of a gamble. But wow, did it pay off. Nicky is a highly talented tailor. He makes suits and shirts from yards of fabric that fit perfectly and look great. I'm currently having him make some custom shirts for me. In the past, I've had him alter a number of suits, some straight from the store and others that I'd had for a while but just wasn't satisfied with the fit. All now fit the way I prefer, which is a pretty slim fit. His prices are affordable. Services are great. Guy is very personable and has never been late on an order. Will continue to bring my business here.

All I can say is, this guy is the worst. He had a 4 month window to make a custom made top to a pair of pants for my wedding in 2016. He took my money and told me he got this. Well first he did not want to do a fitting and when it came time for me to pick up my custom made top, he said he took artistic liberty with my outfit. It look like something that a 5th grader had try to make. With that said a 5th grader would have done better. If I were you I would go to K&G clothes and buy what you need off the rack and take it to a tailer or seamstress to get the look you want. Please if you read this please don't go to this guy. He will mess up your outfit or not do it at all. Please don't go to him.

DO NOT GO HERE. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE TAILOR THAT WILL NOT FINISH YOUR WORK ON TIME. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I dropped off 4 dresses for hemming and to be taken in about 3 weeks ago. He gave me a very expensive price and told me he would charge me $ 100. I thought ok, for good work I will pay. Told me to pick them up on June 1st. I arrived today and the dresses were in a LUMP, WRINKLED, AND NOT DONE. He said he could get them done by the end of the day. So if that's the case why was it going to take 3 weeks? I asked for a discount of the $100 and he he would take the pins out and give them back. He clearly saw I was very upset, ABSOLUTELY NO APOLOGY FOR HIS UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR. DO NOT GO HERE.
