I had 7 suits from 30 years ago that were tight on me. DG did a great job on them to refit them to my middle age body! The price was fair, and the quality of the work was excellent. You cannot tell that any work was done on them by looking at them. The seams are stitched perfectly. I highly recommend this place. He also finished the work in the time frame promised.

Brought in three formal dresses, two for hemming and one to have the torso taken in. Dimitry did an amazing job. One dress was three layers - the top being lace, they look perfect. My future mother-in-law had the sides of her strapless dress taken in and was very pleased with the result. Dimitry did a hemming job for me a few years ago on a dress with a mesh detail about 2in above the hem and I couldn't even tell (other than the dress being shorter)! That's why I'm back this time.

I recently lost weight and had several suits that needed tailored to fit my new physique. I wanted the slim fit look for the suits. I searched for the best mens tailor in Baltimore and DG's had good reviews, so I decided to give them a try. I took my suits over the weekend and did not expect to get them back until a couple weeks later. I was pleasantly surpised to get them back by Monday evening. I am honestly so confused about the amazing reviews for this place since I did not receive the same experience. I took in a bridesmaids dress to be altered a few weeks back. Everything seemed fine as he was measuring and pinning, but when I expressed that the dress was too big and I would like it taken in around the bust, he said I shouldn't worry about it and I should just get the straps (which had beading on them - explained later) and bottom hemmed. He seemed to think that once the straps were tighter, all would be solved. So I trusted him because he's the expert. The first semi-red flag came when he asked me to bring cash to pay. Fine, whatever, you don't want to pay taxes - I get it. So a few weeks go by, and I get a text that my dress is ready. I stopped by the bank on my way there, and the ATM wasn't working. While I felt bad since he requested cash, I figured he would just have to deal with a card this time around. I get there, try on the dress, and it's SO huge in the bust area still which is what I was worried about when I asked him to take it in during my original fitting, not to mention, when he adjusted the straps of the dress, he just left the extra beading hanging there. He didn't cut it or sew it in - there was probably a good 2 inches just dangling off the back from each strap. It looked ridiculous. I decided to just disregard the beading dangling everywhere since I figured I could just cut that off myself later. But I brought to his attention how insanely large the bust area was and he acted like there was nothing to be done and blamed it on the ruched fabric. What? It wasn't the fabric, it was just too big - I could literally grab a handful of extra fabric in the back; it clearly needed to be taken in. At this point, I was pretty annoyed. Rather than argue, I decided to just pay and try to fix it on my own or take it elsewhere. When he realized I didn't have cash, he was in complete shock. Luckily for him, his internet just so happened to have gone down earlier that day so his credit card app was NOT working. Wow! How convenient! So, I left without the dress, and had to come back the following weekend to pick it up which was such a hassle. I come back with cash since apparently that is the only way he accepts payment (shady), and he just takes it and hands me my dress. No receipt? When I asked for one, he tells me he is out of receipts and can he just write it down on the back of his business card. I think the look on my face was all he needed to see, because miraculously, he suddenly remembered he had an extra receipt book in his car. Overall, a pretty shady experience, and the dress still doesn't even look good on me since he didn't finish the work he started and refused to alter areas I requested. So bummed because I really had high hopes for this place from all the other reviews.

I needed several suits completely altered for some upcoming events and was in desperate need of good tailor. I came across Dmitriy’s shop through its high ratings on google and decided to give him a shot. Setting up the appointment was easy and he had all three suits marked for the necessary alterations in no time. With everything that needed to be done he quoted me a very reasonable and fair price and indicated they would be done within the week. When I got the call that they were finished I was excited to see how they turned out and was not disappointed. The fit and finish was impeccable making them feel custom made and Dmitriy even fixed some loose buttons that we hadn’t even discussed. He is a great tailor and really goes the extra mile to give his customers a great experience. I will definitely be returning for all of my future needs.

Dimitri was amazing to work with! I came in with a Maid of Honor dress that was far too big on me! He gave me the price of what it would be, but recommended I look into finding a smaller dress. With timing being of the essence he pointed me in the direction of a local bridesmaids shop that he thought could help. Awful awful awful experience! If I could give zero stars then I would. I don't give many reviews, but after my experience with Dmitriy, I needed to share. First off, when I arrived at my appointment, Dmitriy was so uninviting. When I walked in he was watching something on a tv or a computer and barely acknowledged that I was there. I shrugged it off thinking that it wasn't a big deal. Next when Dmitriy went to start marking the hem on my dress, he got angry that I didn't bring shoes with me. I informed him that I did not have any heels since I had not at the time purchased the shoes that I will wear with my dress yet. I, however, informed Dmitriy of the exact height of heels that I was looking for (3 inch heels). Then I went to pick up my dress today and everything continued to get worse. I was told that he would be open from 1-7pm today and to my surprise, the door was locked when I got there around 2pm. After contacting him, he called me back and informed me that he would be back in a couple of minutes. When Dmitriy arrived, I tried on my bridesmaids dress with my heels and it was WAY TOO SHORT. The dress didn't even touch the floor without shoes on. I understand that I did not bring heels to my original appointment, but Dmitriy was well informed of the exact height of heels that I was looking for to wear with my dress. Plus, when booking, it never told me to bring heels along with my dress. After this all happened, Dmitriy tried to blame me saying that I should have brought shoes. Good job blaming the customer when he was the one who hemmed the dress incorrectly. So now I am stuck running around trying to buy flats for the wedding that I am in on Saturday all thanks to a seamstress that hemmed my dress too short. And all of this without mentioning that he charged me $90 just to a hem a dress, which I repeat, was done awfully! I will never get anything altered here again and I highly recommend that you stay far away from DG alterations.

Absolutely perfect craftsmanship! I took four women's suits in for alterations, and all of them came back looking phenomenal! I couldn't believe how stunning the outcome was once I tried on the altered suits. Took in 2 pairs of designer jeans for a hem. I had been taking my jeans into a large reputable department store for a hem for years but needed this job done quickly (this paticular department store takes 1-2 weeks for a hem). The job he did was FAR better than anything I had ever taken to to said department store. You can't tell there was any tailoring at all (is what you'd expect...or so you think). It appears as if they came this way from the manufacturer. Same factory stitching of thread color and placement. To top it off...they were done in 24 hours. When you spend $200 on a pair of jeans you want any tailoring to be well done..DG does not disappoint! So excited to take the rest of my tailoring needs to DG! Amazing quality work, quick turn time! Cannot recommend enough!

I came to DG alteration with a possibly hopeless dress situation and Dimitry totally saved me. I bought a bridesmaid dress that I thought was the correct size...but it was probably more than a full size too small. So I had to purchase more fabric first, and then have it altered on the side seams. It looks great! DG Alteration pretty much saved me from having to buy a whole new dress. It was also delivered faster than I expected and I paid cash.

He got it done exactly how i wanted it. He even gave me advice on where to buy future suits cause the place i got my coat tailored, did a horrible job and used horrible material promising me it was good. I will use the advice he gave me to shop for future suits. This man has vision, and is worth the money. He can make any cheap suit look like a thousand dollar suit. Clothes have personality and he will bring it out for you and make it match to you. You just gotta trust him. Will definitely be coming back for more alterations.

Went in on Saturday to have a jacket looked at. He told me to stand in the mirror and asked what don't I like about the fit of the coat. I told him and he quickly proceeded to mark the coat. Next he asks when I need it back I said Wednesday would be great. Come Monday, I receive a text that my jacket is ready. I go to pick it up and wow, it fit like I'd imagined it would. And being two days early was a nice bonus. As far as costs goes it was not the cheapest. But it wasn't necessarily expensive either. This is a prime example of getting what you pay for. I got great work done for a great and reasonable cost and will return again for more work. Highly recommended!!!

This is by far the best tailor I can say that I have been too. I am a muscular build, and I am 5"6'. That being said it is difficult to find pants that fit perfectly - a fit that is comfortable for a small waist, muscular legs and glutes, and pants that taper right. When I walked into the tailor at first to have my pants done for my birthday, the owner stood me in front of the mirrors and asked what I wanted. I explained the occasion to him and he marked the pants at the ankle and at the leg demonstrating the taper. When I picked up the pants and tried them on I couldn't have been happier with the fit. The occasion was my 25th birthday, and I am so grateful for this tailor. He made the stress of finding the perfect outfit almost non existent and simple. I became aware of D&G from a google search and decided to give them a go with 3 suit alterations. I showed up without an appointment and Dimitri accepted my business without hesitation. He assessed my suit, instructed me on what needed to be done, and listened to my preference regarding pants length. Dimitri informed me of the price and the 10 day completion, which was 4 days sooner than my normal alteration location. After receiving the suits, trying on, I’m very happy with the final product. Dimitri did a fine job and I will return for future alterations. The pricing is somewhat higher then the alteration location I have used in the past but I can live with it if it is done properly and meets my expectations.

Best alterations by far in Baltimore and surrounding areas. Because I am three separate sizes (bust-waist-hips) I have an impossible time finding the right fit. I ordered a beautiful pinup dress from the UK (meant to hug the curves!) and it fit TERRIBLY - way too big in the waist and hips. In spite of feeling forlorn, Dimitry saved the day! He promised I would love it when he was done, and he was right - it is the perfect, slim and sexy pinup fit I was desperately hoping for. Dmitriy did a wonderful job on my wedding dress! Excellent customer service he was very good at listening to what changes I wanted to make and explaining what he was going to do. He hemmed it (7 layers), took out a layer to make the dress less puffy, took in the top part along the zipper and moved the belt on the dress down. He provided lots of updates to let me know how the work was coming along and finished all the alterations in about two weeks! He was very upfront about cost (which was affordable) and the time frame. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and I am very happy with the results.

I have a trench coat that needed the sleeves shortened, but after a previous tailor botched the job, I was skeptical of having it altered again (the coat was rather pricey). However, I found Dmitriy and decided to give it a shot. The coat came back as pristine as I had dropped it off, embellishments all intact. The sleeves were shortened perfectly and thread holes left behind from moving the loops up for the cuff straps were carefully touched up. Dmitriy's workmanship is amazing and I would definitely recommend him for all your tailoring needs.
