SO RUDE! I called for an estimate on an alteration and she replies in a loud condescending tone. Obviously, I don't get my clothes tailored often or else I would have known she has to see the item first. No worries! There are other tailors in the area, who don't yell at their porential customers within 5 seconds of a conversation. Trash!

I purchased suits that needed tailoring as the store did not offer this. I went to Bell Tailors on York right south of the traffic circle in Towson. Expert tailoring at a very reasonable price and turn around time. Convenient hours too and very pleasant staff.

The friendly people at Bell Tailor have helped me twice now. First they Fairy Godmother-ed a horrible cheap bridesmaid dress- now it's the best fitting thing I own! It's like it was made for me, and I was still able to move easily and dance all night! Next, a challenge- my grandmother's antique blanket. My dog ripped it and it kept unravelling. I had been told many times to just throw it out, but I loved this blanket. No problem for Bell Tailor! In about 15 minutes they fixed it so that it holds together, won't unravel anymore and you can only see a tiny thin seam- I'm SO HAPPY!!

I called to get a price estimate and best time to come in. The person answered the phone, cut me off as I was talking, said the owner was not available (i didnt ask to speak to the owner), said she was busy and with a customer, and hung up.

I've taken many professional pieces here to get tailored including blazers and a formal cocktail dress. With the cocktail dress once being my mothers, it was a challenging piece to tailor to a smaller size. However, I was more than happy with the outcome and received many compliments. The same goes for my blazers, which were taken in from the sides - not an easy task. Prices are fairly reasonable and comparable to other tailors. I will definitely continue to go back!

They said they couldn’t take my pant legs in? And I’ve been in there before and they said they couldn’t do what I needed. I took elsewhere and it was a super easy fix. They also priced shortening a dress at $25 (no layers or anything). They were pretty rude too. I would not recommend!

Alterations and service here are great. Tiny little shop. A little old but such good work! Alterations feel a little pricey but I haven’t found anyone else as good or fast.

Friendly and helpful. Did a good job hemming a pair of dress pants. Not too expensive ($16) and ready in a week. I will definitely return. Cash only.
