I have been associated with Bel Air Alterations for many years nothing but great alterations and dry cleaning. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Alterations and dry cleaning are done in a timely fashion. Definitely friendly and they courtesy. Prices are in line with other similar businesses.

If I could give this place a zero star, I would. The lady I spoke with was very unprofessional. I wanted to know about the charges upfront so I asked her but she said she can only estimate if she sees me in the dress. She asked me to use the fitting room and try it on. After I wore the dress she said the price for alteration for the $100 dress was $65 + additional charges. I felt that was a bit too much for me and I decided not to go ahead with it. I politely let her know that I am not sure if I want to get this done. She blatently tells me because you used the fitting room here you need to pay a $15 charge. This is for my time and that I provided the estimate. She took my dress and refused to return it unless I gave her $15. I asked her to return my dress and she said this is business and we don't do nothing for free.

So I have been here 3 times now and each time the ladies were so wonderful and did a fantastic job! The one I dealt with the most (I feel terrible I can't seem to remember her name) but she is just so sweet! She really saved the day when I needed a last minute alteration done to my bridesmaids dress and they really did an amazing job and it fit perfectly! I'm so grateful! I highly recommend them and will always go here for anything I need altered in the future. Thanks ladies!

Do NOT go here. They overcharge for services (hem on silk chiffon dress $180 when it was $50 elsewhere) and when you question the cost, the employees are extremely rude and disrespectful.

Took a suit to get the pants hemmed. An older Asian lady greeted me, took my measurements. In and out in several minutes. When I asked if it would be possible to have it within a few days as it was for a wedding party she was accommodating.

The lady was rude and asked for a fee for looking at the dress and giving an estimate. In addtition to that she said if we wouldn't pay the $15 she would not return the dress. Pathetic! Posting for my wife: My experience with Bel Air Alteration Shop was excellent. I needed a very complicated, intricate ball gown tailored on the sides and shoulders. I went to Best Cleaners and another cleaners in Bel Air South and they both rejected my dress. When I called Bel Air alteration shop, I explained my issue and they told me to bring it in and they would let me know if they could fix it. After looking at the dress, the owner and expert seamstress called me herself to let me know that it was a difficult alteration but that she figured out a way to give me the alterations that I needed. My schedule was hectic but she accommodated me after hours for a second fitting to make sure that the dress fit me perfectly. Thanks to Mich (owner) I have a fabulous dress to wear for my Dad's 60th birthday. She is truly an expert tailor.

The ladies I interacted with were friendly but I was expected to pay $15 for someone to pin the dress before it was altered. I asked for an estimate before agreeing to an alteration of my dress and she couldn’t give me a number. She scribbled something down and it wasn’t close to what I paid in the end. The alteration job was mediocre and the price for what was done was way too high. I do not recommend going to this store for alterations. I was not satisfied with this experience. I won’t be going back.

This shop is AWFUL!!! They weren't able to hem my prom dress correctly (the back was way shorter than the front) and when we tried to ask for a refund, they refused to grant it to us. The ladies were extremely rude and refused to answer any of my or my mom's questions. When we went back in for a second time, all of the original tulle had been taken out of the skirt. They also refused to give us back the tulle. I would not recommend this shop at all. It was my dream dress but now they've ruined it.
