Best tailor in the area! High quality work and service. I'd HIGHLY recommend. Only thing is that due to the high demand, it could take a while to get your clothes back especially during formal/graduation. I live in Philadelphia now and I still come back to Newark to get my clothes tailored here.

Dan is my tailor. I wear a suit for work 5 days / week. I found Dan when I moved to the area a few years ago. Initially I chose him based on a few reviews I read. I have returned to him each time a buy a suit (3-5 suits / year) because he is very good and I trust him. He does good work and is committed to my long time business. A couple times I have purchased a suit that wasn’t quite right – one had been poorly / unevenly cut and another wasn’t sized right for me. Rather than doing more extensive / expensive alterations or ending up with an inferior result, Dan advised me of his thoughts and suggested I return the suits. In doing so he gave up my immediate business – but of course I returned, that much more loyal. I highly recommend Dan.

He did not do what I asked him to do. All he did was cut of material, no sewing, and charged me $25. When I complained he said there was nothing he could do. I could have cut it myself. I was expecting a surged edge like the one he cut off.

Will definitely come back for all my needs however his location is one to be desired. Upstairs over top of a restaurant. Parking was hard to find someone else it's right off of main street in Newark U of D.

All my family go to Ho's for all alterations. He has multiple dressing rooms in which the first time I was one of 8 ladies being pinned up (at once) with multiple garments for each of us to be tailored, 2 would change and he would go to the next 2 and it went on for awhile he was quick and pleasant to work with. (Wife works there too but I never feel uncomfortable in what he is pinning or brushing by accident as part of the profession). They listen and will make any suggestions to what can/ can't be done. Nice, friendly, quality tailoring with fast turnaround time and affordable prices! Had my husband's leather bomber jacket was too long in the sleeves charged $12 (2002 prices) for tough leather & double stitching ! You won't get that great kind of quality for his prices anywhere... And he's right down the street! Never had a problem he couldn't fix. Many child growth fittings every 3 months and My yo-yo needs. He will make you look great. Tell him if you don't want anything cut off or if just sewn. You could ruin a good relationship and clothes if you don't bother. Most will cut then alter without asking you so speak up or...

Quality alterations with friendly,personal service are the perfect 500 threadcount of excellence on the fabric of Local Tailors in Newark. Dan is worth the drive from wherever you live because you will get what you want at a fair price but above and beyond handcrafted stitching. If you are looking for a tailor, go here. You will not regret it. He has done my dresses and pants ( which require heavy assistance because I am 5'1 on a good day. The stitches are impeccable. He has altered my husband's suits and you may as well consider Dan a haberdasher based on his work. Go to Italo's : Dan is your local surgeon for all your clothing needs!

measured my dungaree sample and was asked to make the 2 other pair I had brought in the same way. gave the sample ack to me to take with me. when I picked them up they were not done any where near the waist size and appearance of the sample when I asked him to give them to his wife and ask her to make them like the sample adding I did not want him to measure them...just give her the sample to go by refused and left saying I would never bring anything to him again charge $30.00 which included nc tax

I have been coming here for about a year now. Dan is easily the best tailor in the area. Very knowledgeable, polite, and his attention to detail is excellent. He is very honest and will always help you to get the best fit for your money (ie, suggesting darting a shirt instead of taking in the sides). He told me will alter any material except for fur. I only wish he had the machinery to make custom shirts...
