I originally brought a brand new bathing suit to Northshore Tailoring & Alterations 2, so that I could get a quote on taking in the sides, removing fabric around the front and back of my bottom where it had been bunching up from being the wrong size. I was told that it would be $40 and it would take about a week for the alterations. Since my bathing suit only cost $30 and alterations would be $40, I decided to think on it overnight. I came back the next day because I decided to just go through with it since I loved the swim suit so much. I went in, tried on the suit, they made markings and pinned the suit, they then decided to tell me that they would not alter my swim suit and that they had changed their mind about doing it because it was “too difficult and it would look ugly”. I then told the lady that if they didn’t feel as if they could help me that I would look else where or get my Grandmaw to help me. The lady then told me that no one would be able to do what I wanted done and that her father has been a tailor for 50 years and that if anyone could do it, it would be him. However, I took my swimsuit to LOUISIANA CUSTOM TAILORING & ALTERATION SERVICES and they did EXACTLY what I asked for and had NO ISSUES. I’m glad I was able to find someone who was able to help me. I highly disliked the way that the employees/owners treated me at Northshore.

I had a coat that required shortening of the sleeves and one place said the garment was too difficult for them to work with so they recommended Northshore Tailoring. Those guys did such a fantastic job you would think the coat was originally made in that size. I have now used them a number of times and will never go anywhere else. These guys work magic.

Took my vintage 90's Chicago Bulls jacket to Northshore Tailoring & Alterations 2 with huge holes in each underarm, holes in the padding, etc. When I received my item back it looked flawless, the stitching matched perfectly and was uniform throughout, it wasn't just stitched closed it was returned to factory condition, the craftsmanship put into such a small job was FANTASTIC Taking ALL of my future alterations here. Excellent tailor. I received very good service. I brought a number of suits in for various alterations. A few I wanted the pleats taken out to try to modernize them. He did a wonderful job. Will definitely go back for more work. I'd like to get a custom suit done but I may have to wait until I can afford that! One day!!!
