Walked in with an idea for a formal, summertime wedding and a price range. I also needed service and found it to be cordial, professional, knowledgeable and patient with my indecision. Of course ... of course the purpose was to sell me, but only if I felt it fit my needs. The remaining star comes up for delivery and quality, but I suspect all will be well. Give yourself a break and get there during off hours - weekdays before 5 PM I suspect. You'll pay, but what doesn't cost something if you want something. Update: 5th star given for an impeccable suit. Several folks complimented it (and me). I felt pretty good too.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! ACCOSTED BY SALESPERSON, ASKED TO LEAVE FOR NO REASON. Salesperson actually said I couldnt try anything on unless I was planning on buying. I wish I didnt need to purchase clothes that day so I could have just left.

Walked in today to search for specific items and encountered a negative experience. Customer service is non existent at this place. The only employee there directed us to the clearence section assuming we couldn’t afford anything in the store. He then proceeded to mock us until we decided to simply leave. People go into clothing stores to buy clothes not be judged upon appearance and mocked by some arrogant sales person wishing they were the companies CEO. It was really distasteful and unprofessional—even for a retail assosiate with a fancy shamcy business card. Manager or not. Feel free to shop here but be warn. Meadow just wants a big commission $. I mean, Flower. Or was it Forrest?

Walked in and walked out. No sales people on a sale weekend and rainy day when it's busy. Kid rolled his eyes as he pointed us to shirts to help other customer. Three other customers were waiting?!

I went here to get a suit because of the deal they had going on (buy 1 get 3 free) but the woman that helped me, Shelby, was great. Very nice and patient with me. Had a good experience. I even called back the next day to see if I could pick up one of the four suits early, and they graciously agreed to have one of them done for me.

I was in New Orleans to catch a cruise on Sunday. On Saturday afternoon, I realized I left all of my formal clothes at home by accident. Hiram Garza absolutely saved me. He helped me find a jacket, shirts, slacks, socks, belt, and shoes in no time. Hiram even steamed out my shirts and hung everything up in a garment bag for the cruise. The clothes are great and the service was far above and beyond. Thanks to your help, I looked great on the cruise! 10 stars!

There is no Jos A. Bank store that would ever earn more than 3 stars for me. Never buy a suit of theirs full price. Take advantage of their sales, and you can stock up on general work clothes and look better than most. Don't expect anything other than mid range workwear here.

I had a great experience at Jos. A. Bank (downtown store) - the salesman, Hampton didn't know me, but treated me like I was a longtime customer. He has wonderful taste, very knowledgeable and doesn't try to over sell you. It's worth driving the extra few miles - my husband and I will definitely shop with Hampton at Jos. A. Bank on Carondelet Street from now on. Excellent experience!

This store blows. Selection is limited and I'm a fit guy of average build, and when they said they would get the slacks from another location and call me back, they never did. I just called them now too, and...they didn't pick up. A retail store that doesn't answers its phone... #fail

While searching for a vest for a last minute event, Judson at Jos. A. Bank helped us tremendously. The customer service, selection, quality, value, and atmosphere at this location is phenomenal! Highly recommend. Must add, our first stop was Men's Warehouse, where we found a vest that had been altered and returned and had a $59.99 sale price listed on the tag. When we went to checkout, the cashier told us the vest would be $185.00. We left and went to Jos. A Bank and it was the best decision!

My husband bought a suit at this location for a wedding two years ago. He wore the suit to the wedding, and to a funeral the following year. At the funeral, the hem on one of the pant legs came completely undone. I asked him about it and he said that it had started to come loose at the wedding. When I looked at it, I saw that they had only bothered to hem one leg. The other was just baste stitched. I ran the slacks through a delicate cycle in the washing machine and hung them to dry. Aside from the loose pant leg they came out fine. Unfortunately, we have another funeral to attend next week, and I remembered that these pants still needed to be repaired. I called the Waldorf location and was told, "No problem, bring them in!" But when I showed up at the store, the associate was going to charge me for repairing the hem. I explained that they had not been hemmed in the first place and he referred me to the manager who was out front having a cigarette. When I went out to speak to her, (after apologizing for interrupting her break) I was asked if the pants had been dry cleaned. I explained that they had not been, but that the problem existed before they were washed. She said, "Well, we can't touch them unless they've been dry cleaned. That's company policy." One would think that it would be company policy to finish the work on a suit before sending it out the door. I will repair the pants myself, but I will never buy another thing at Jos A. Bank, and I will make sure that everyone I know hears about their shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. I wish that I had gone online and read the reviews of this company before doing business with them.
