Professional and beautiful handiwork! We brought my child’s Irish dance dress to Kendra for alterations a couple of weeks ago and the results were amazing. She spent time with us to ensure that all modifications to the delicate lace sleeves and body would be comfortable, as well as within regulations. The dress was ready by the time we needed it for an out of state competition and got so many compliments! We’re taking her last dress to get some changes done next as well.

I met Kendra at the Liberty Wedding Expo and she designed my wedding dress from a collaboration of ideas I gave her and from her expert opinion. And, SHE NAILED IT. My dress was exactly what I asked for. I met with her one time to talk about my design, a second time to try it on/make alterations, and a third time to pick it up. She was so kind and so easy to work with, making small changes I asked for. Not to mention the dress was stretchy and comfortable (praise). My dress was a two piece dress with a detachable skirt I was able to take off at the receptions. I highly recommend Kendra to anyone looking for a wedding dress. For a custom wedding dress, her prices were similar to stock dress you find at local gown stores. And, YOU GET TO DESIGN IT. How. Cooo.

Kendra was very easy to setup an appointment with and her shop is clean and welcoming. I tried on my wedding gown and she pinned it up in about 10 minutes, I needed the beaded back to be tightened, a hem around the bottom, and a bustle. Kendra walked me through all of the bustle options and found a style that fit well for the dress and the style of the event, the French bustle. The bustle was color-coded to make it easier to follow day-of. I was amazed at how it turned out, the turnaround of the alterations, and the price. Everything was exactly as promised. I will be going to her exclusively in the future!

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Kendra. She was recommended to me for my wedding dress alteration by the salon I bought my dress from. She did an amazing job taking in my intricately laced dress and strived for perfection. She worked very quickly and I had my dress back less than a month. When I picked up my dress, she realized the bottom didn't sit exactly right and fixed the hem before I took it home that day. While all of that was wonderful, she was an actual angel for me on my wedding day. When I took my dress out of my bag that morning, the tulle layer somehow had a HUGE rip along the seam. I texted a picture to Kendra and she offered to bring her sewing machine to where I was getting ready...HOURS before her shop even opened that day. Just amazing. She saved the day and fixed my wedding dress quickly!! THANK YOU!

Kendra made a custom sleeve jacket that I could wear over my sweetheart top dress. She made the jacket out of a soft, stretchy tulle and applied matching lace appliques all over the sleeves so that they tied into my dress perfectly! People were so surprised to hear that the sleeves are actually a custom jacket I had made! She did a beautiful job and worked with me to make sure the sleeves and neckline were exactly how I wanted them. I highly recommend Kendra! She'll listen to what you want and she'll keep tweaking to make sure you're 100% satisfied.

Kendra is very kind, and works quickly. I went to Kendra in July to alter my Maid of Honor dress for a wedding in August, and she had it completed in two weeks! About a month before the wedding. I think Kendra did a great job altering the appearance of the dress so that it could be slightly different from the other bridesmaid dresses. However, transforming the one shoulder to a strapless, although beautiful, it was not a perfect fit. It did not stay in place and had to be pulled up numerous times throughout the wedding events. To be completely transparent, I do know that there are other seamstress who are just as talented, just as kind, just as quick and just as professional as Kendra, however more affordable. To give you an idea of the pricing, the alterations costed $20 more than the total cost of the original dress. I could have bought my dress twice. The other seven bridesmaids had went to different seamstress and paid only $15 for the same hem that I paid $55 at Kendra Bridal. I think what she charged for the hem was very expensive considering the dress, the length and the material. I even emailed her the same day I left the dress with her informing her that I would prefer to get the hem completed elsewhere, but never received a response. As I said earlier, I think Kendra did a great job transforming the top of my dress from a one shoulder to a sweetheart strapless. I have never had to change an appearance of a dress before so I wasn't sure of what to expect as far as pricing but I assumed it would be on the higher end and it was, it was $80. I do think that is pretty reasonable, but I also don't have anything to compare it to, so you be the judge. I did email, call and left a message with Kendra the next day after dropping my dress off to discuss concerns brought to my attention by others regarding changing dresses to sweethearts, but unfortunately those calls and emails weren't returned either. I did choose to let it slide and not worry about it because as a professional I assumed she wouldn't offer her services if she was unable to do it. I think Kendra does great with initial email responses, but could improve with responding to follow up communication questions from consumers. The day I picked up my dress, I tried it on and one of her associates that assisted me that day agreed that the sweetheart area was too big and needed to be taken in a bit, which she was able to complete in five minutes while I was still in the shop, which costed an additional $26 and unfortunately it still didn't fit properly and didn't even look like it had made a difference, but to get another stitch it was going to cost an additional $26. At that point I didn't feel that it was feasible nor worth it to continue paying additional stitches to secure the bust area. I just wanted to be as transparent as possible for those who like to do their research prior to trying new places. Kendra is very nice, very quick and did great at altering the appearance of the dress, I just wish the alterations fit me better since that is the point of getting alterations. I honestly will never be back since I wasn't satisfied nor impressed with the fit of the dress. However, I would recommend her for those who are in a bind, need quick alterations and don't mind paying above average pricing.

Kendra has a sweet personality. She is creative with new designs; just have an idea in mind when creating something new and Kendra will build on top of your idea to create a fashion made just for "you". She makes sure you love her work by having you come for fittings. I have used Kendra twice to create designs just for me (Mother's of the Bride dress and six years later a Matron of Honor dress). I am 65 years old and have body flaws. Kendra is awesome in making me look like a million dollars. Her costs are pricey, but you will love the final product. Kendra also made the alterations to my daughter's wedding dress. She's the best!

I was impressed by Kendra & her team initially, and trusted her completely to alter my wedding dress to my body. They worked with my schedule, and had the gown completed very quickly. However, when I went to pick it up, I was shocked to find it fit almost exactly the same, as if no alterations had been done. I expressed by displeasure, modifications were made, and I was instructed to return in 1 week. Frustrated, I returned in 1 week per their request (I live 2.5 hours away) and arrived at their business to find a note on the door stating, "We've moved!" along with their new address. No phone call, no discussion the week prior about a potential move, nothing. With my dress, I had conflicting recommendations from Kendra & her assistant. Kendra stated the sheer lining of my dress was so delicate, it wouldn't be a good idea to modify, but her assistant suggested we do just that. Shockingly, I found a needle in my dress the Friday before my wedding, as we were prepping the dress. The most disappointing part was that my bustles broke 30 minutes into my cocktail hour, so I carried the train of my dress for the remainder of our 5 hour reception. Overall, it was a very frustrating, disappointing experience, and I would highly recommend researching other alteration businesses before choosing to work with Kendra J Bridal.

I am super pleased with custom wedding dress I had made by Kendra J Bridal. I went in with an idea of what type of dress I wanted and that I wanted to use my mom’s old wedding dress to make mine. Kendra sat down with me and sketched out the design. From there we decided my mom’s satin dress would make a perfect base layer for my new lace dress. This was no easy feat as I wanted a fit and flare and my mom’s dress was an A-Line. Kendra went to work pinning away the satin dress, and easily transformed it into my preferred shape. When it came to picking out the lace for the top layer, Kendra quickly realized the best way to execute my vision was to use two different laces, one that was subtle for underneath and would fill the visual space of the top applique style lace I loved. Once she had it all pieced together, I came in for my first fitting, and she had done such a great job with pinning the satin gown, there were no adjustments needed. All that was left was creating my custom unique bustle. I told Kendra I would be doing my first dance in heels, then would like to change to flats for the remainder of the reception. She was so creative! She made the back part of my bustle design with my heels on, then created a fold under buttoning for the front so I wouldn’t trip on my dress after the change of shoes (think a temporary hem for just the front of the dress). Every thing went perfectly on my wedding day with my dress thanks to all the hard work of Kendra J Bridal. I recommend them to all of my friends and family. I will attach photos soon so you can see Kendra’s amazing work! (Google is being difficult today)

My wedding dress alterations went amazing! I would recommend this place to everyone. Kendra was able to give my, hand-me-down/non-silk, wedding dress an oxi bath soak before my first fitting appointment, as it had not been cleaned in 18 years & had some minor staining on it. They were even able to hem up my hoop dress skirt so it wouldn't show under the front of my dress.

My wedding gown was custom designed and has an intricate layer of lace, so I was hesitant to entrust it to anyone for alterations. Thankfully, Kendra is amazing! She got the job done quickly and for a very reasonable price. She was so nice and helpful throughout the process, too. The gown fit perfectly after only one pass of alterations, and the bustle kept my train out of the way of rogue feet despite being on the dance floor most of the night. I definitely recommend her!

Kendra J Bridal not only does impeccable work but are really knowledgeable and friendly. I had my bodice taken in, my hem shortened, a bustle added, my straps shortened and after advice from the seamstress who did my work (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name!) my bust seams taken in to really fit me like a glove and look natural.
