Fine Stitch altered my daughter’s wedding dress and my mother of the bride gown. The owners are so accommodating and pleasant. They finished ahead of schedule and we were able to take bridal portraits ahead of the wedding! Janet devised a nine-point bustle that was nothing short of mind-boggling. She managed to make a dress with a ridiculously long train bustle up and fit my 4’11” daughter like it was designed that way. In fact, my daughter loved the dress bustled so much that she took a separate set of portraits with the dress bustled. I was shocked at how inexpensive the alterations were for the wedding dress-I was planning on spending at least twice what they charged. They completed my dress at a cost that was 50% quoted me from other alteration vendors. I will use them now for all my alteration needs.

My husband used Fine Stitch to tailor his suit, and I used Fine Stitch for alterations to my wedding dress. I worked with Janet. She was very professional & I felt very comfortable. She did a wonderful job & took time to walk me through options for bustling. My husband, Ben, really enjoyed working with Sam and was thrilled with the changes made to his suit. I went back in to discuss wedding dress preservation and worked with Sam -- he was awesome & took good care of me. I cannot recommend Fine Stitch more highly, and now we have a place to go for any other items we need altered!

I cannot recommend Janet enough! I brought my wedding dress in for alterations. She is very sweet and really listens to what you need done. When I returned two weeks later to pick up the dress, there were a couple alterations that needed to be fixed. I asked when I should come back because I assumed they would need time to fix it; she replied that I just needed to have a seat for 20 minutes and they'd have it ready! The pricing is super. I thought I would end up spending $200+ but my total was less than $150. The shop is very clean, beautifully decorated, and inviting. It is located about 45 minutes away from me but I will always make the drive for any alterations I need.

I work for a local freight company which I'm required to wear a uniform. Our pants that are apparently meant for someone 95 years and older, because I would have to wear them up around my chest to get the crotch to fit right.... Sam literally lowered the waistband on my pants and I can wear I'm normal and they look normal he and his people didn't awesome job... I had to do 7 pairs of pants and 4 pairs of shorts plus I had to repair a whole bunch of stuff. His people are amazing I'm Blown Away by their ability and the quality of workmanship....

Brought my mother-of-the-bride dress; I was absolutely stunned when I picked it up. I bought the dress 8 months before my daughter's wedding and ended up losing about 60 lbs, so it was just kinda hanging on me. The entire dress was PERFECT! She had to rip out every seam and take in a lot of fabric. It was AMAZING! I looked sexy as hell and I was loving it. I got so many compliments! You can't go wrong by going here. She is an amazing seamstress!!

I originally purchased my wedding dress at belle vogue and I spent more than $500 altering it at fine stitch. I am very disappointed in the quality of work that was performed on my gown and feel that the poor quality alterations I received are the biggest contributing factor to why my gown fell apart on my wedding day. The straps I had them alter for the gown broke within the first 45 minutes of wearing the gown. The hook and eye above the zipper were broken therefore my gown wouldn't stay zipped during the day. Lastly my bustle didn't hold at all and my dress was torn to shreds by the end of the evening. I was unfortunately naive and trusted in the recommendations made by my bridal store to go to fine stitch....but I will most definitely not be a returning customer in the future and would not recommended them to others!

After spending $500 my whole dress fell apart at my wedding. Straps came off, mid-section came loose.. total disaster. My husband called Sam, who is very kind, & told him the situation and Sam told me to bring it in so he could take a look. When I did the lady kept saying “idk what your talking about” & wouldn’t help me. So I just left. So now I have driven out there several times, spent a lot of money & they were not apologetic and did nothing. Save you day! Hope this helps.

Janet was so easy to work with! She altered my dress with a few things and got it back to me on time. When my fiance got his suit back 2 days before the wedding from mens warehouse and they tailored it all wrong, she was able get us in that day and fix it up so it fit properly. The prices are great. My bustle did come out on the dance floor, but that was most likely because we only did one button. We probably should have done more to reinforce the hold.

She has a very calming presence about her which is key as I was very stressed about the dress and she quickly calmed me down. I am amazed that this awesome place doesn't have any reviews yet! They were recommended to me by the bridal salon where I purchased my wedding gown. I decided to take in a very formal gown I was wearing to a wedding to test them out before giving them 'the' dress. I was blown away. They are getting all of my business for any formal or complicated alterations I need! I am a petite 5'1" female and there was a lot of this dress that needed to be taken in and shortened. They also put in some bra cups so that I didn't have to wear a bra. It doesn't look like much from the outside of the building, and it's not in the best location. But when you go inside, you can immediately tell you're in the right place. They have high end equipment and a nice space. It was busy when I walked in, which is also a good sign. The people here are well trained and know what they're doing. The man I worked with really took his time to make sure my dress was laying properly and would fit well with his adjustments. He reminded me to stand tall so that it wouldn't be messed up as he was taking measurements. They were also able to get my dress done within two weeks! They gave it to me freshly pressed and ready to go. Awesome service. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

I can not recommend Fine Stitch enough!! I live in Texas but was getting married in the Kansas City area and flew in two days before the wedding. It was at that time that I got to try my wedding dress on that had been altered by a different place only to find out that it did not fit correctly. The whole top part was a complete disaster! When I called, Sam answered and rushed to get me in by 4:30 on Thursday night. Him and Janet were able to pick out all the problems on my dress within minutes and turned it around by 11 on Friday morning. On top of that, the price was way lower than I was expecting it to be for such a last minute job. I am so thankful for them and all their work they did to fix my dream dress!!!

Belle Vogue Bridal recommended I use Fine Stitch for wedding dress alterations. Unfortunately, I did not have an exceptional experience for several reasons: 1) When I picked up my dress at Belle Vogue they said all I would need done is to have my dress taken in at the waist. Upon review by Janet of Fine Stitch, she said that shortening the straps would fix this issue. I was hesitant, but went along with this suggestion. At my second fitting the waist was still gaping on me and Janet told me that if I "stood up straight" this wouldn't be an issue. However, standing up straight only stretches the bunching of fabric and does not make the waist smaller. I can still grab nearly an inch of fabric on both sides of my waist. When I followed up on it, Janet said that making the waist smaller would only cause more bunching of the dress. As a result I will be wearing a dress that is too big. 2) Janet lost a part of my dress. She initially stated that she did not even remember that part of my dress to begin with. She then said I could use a completely different part of my dress for this issue which would not work. She then concluded with "Well, I hope your day gets better." She called back later to tell me she had found it thankfully, but unfortunately handled the situation terribly unprofessionally and caused an abundance of stress and tears. 3) Janet told me to pick my dress up during "wedding week." Upon arrival on Tuesday she initially could not find my dress and then told me it was not finished. Janet is a very good seamstress, but unfortunately that does not matter if she does not listen to the customer's needs. If you do choose to work with Fine Stitch which I do not recommend, be sure that Janet writes down every single thing in order to save yourself a headache.

I called Fine Stitch in a bit of a panic. I had my wedding dress altered at a different bridal store and they messed up my hem, train and bustle BAD. I decided to take it somewhere else to get it fixed but I was nervous because I am getting married in 4 weeks, not a lot of time to fix so many issues.Luckily a friend recommended Fine Stitch, so I gave them a call. Sam got me in the next day. Within about a week they had my dress fixed! It looks beautiful, it's hemmed perfectly and the bustle is exactly how I originally wanted it. I think the most important thing to acknowledge is their customer service. They actually listened to me and sympathized with me about the fact that I had troubles with a previous tailor. Sam kept reassuring me through the whole process and continuously asked me if I was happy with the changes he had made.I really appreciated the level of customer service he gave me while I was there. I would recommend Fine Stitch to anyone who needs any kind of tailoring needs, they are the best!!!!

Due to a series of unfortunate events, I ended up with a size 10 wedding dress, needing to be altered down to a 0, with less than 2 weeks to get it done before my wedding. Janet was so sweet & gracious, and even though I was a nervous mess leaving when I walked into the business, she put me at ease. She turned my dress around in 8 days and miraculously made that dress fit me perfectly. I felt the price was high, but due to time restraints, I didn't have time to shop around for a better deal. Honestly, though, it wouldn't have mattered. She's a miracle worker & what she did, and how she made me feel under that kind of pressure, that was priceless.

I just left Fine Stitch after what could have possibly been the WORST first bridal gown fitting at a different location. I left the other store crying thinking I wouldn't be able to get my gown fitted perfectly for our big day. Janet, at Fine Stitch, squeezed us into an already busy day so my out of town family could still be a part of this experience. From the moment we walked in Janet was reassuring, kind and professional; everything the other seamstress wasn't.
