I had my wedding dress tailored here and I can't recommend it enough! As many brides are, I was very nervous when choosing someone to tailor my expensive, special dress. She was instantly able to tell what needed to be done and executed the alterations carefully and perfectly which included taking in the bodice, hemming the bottom and adding a bustle. My dress was done on time and the price was very affordable. I will be using Hickman Tailors for all of my future alterations! Thank you!

I brought my dress to a different tailor originally and she made it too tight, altered the bust incorrectly, and completely my bustle wrong. I brought my dress to Hickman Tailors 3 weeks before my wedding. She not only fixed all the issues I had previously, but made it look more amazing than I could have every imagined. She fixed all the issues very quickly and had my dress ready for my wedding. The quality of work and attention to details is absolutely incredible. I will never take my clothing anywhere else!! To top it all off, she is incredibly affordable and charges such a reasonable price!

I just went to Hickman Tailors for a bridesmaid dress I accidentally ordered 4 sizes too small, (the sizing chart on the website was completely inaccurate) and she did an incredible job altering it!!! Not only did she make a dress BIGGER, when most places tell you it's impossible to do, you can't even tell! And not only that, you was EXTREMELY well priced!! She is also very flexible on the time frame! I highly recommend Hickman Tailors! She is a wonderful, kind, local business woman!

I would trust Thu with giving me an open heart surgery, she is that good. I have brought almost all of my pageant and prom dresses to her and she wows me everytime. She has seamlessy made a dress that was too small with a very complicated lace and embroidery design larger. I took a mermaid fitting gown in to be hemmed but instead she put boning in the back, which made it fit 1000 times better. She has actually made me a detachable overskirt for a fun fashion wear romper from scratch. She has creative and innovative solutions for anything and everything. She is so kind and personable. She goes above and beyond with everything she does. Typically anyone with this great of service would have higher prices, but she has the best prices I have ever evenheard of. Hickman tailors is a valuable asset to have in your pocket.

I was so nervous to have my wedding dress tailored, because it has a lace and beaded bodice with multiple layers of delicate organza for the skirt. The bodice needed taken in and the skirt needed to be shortened quite a bit. I was blown away by the service during the consultation and when I picked it up last night, I could not have been more pleased. I cannot believe the price they charge for the perfection they achieve. Come here if you want it done right - the price is just a bonus. I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

This woman is a wonder. I have been a client for several years, taking in pants, skirts and a few shirts. I'm fairly petite and it seems no matter what size I buy, it has to be tailored or I look like I'm playing dress-up with the adult clothes. She's always done a fantastic job with fast, perfect service and the prices can't be beat. Recently, I purchased a lace wedding dress and decided to forgo the outrageous bridal salon alterations pricing and see if Hickman Tailors could do the job. Her quote was WAY BELOW anything I found at several bridal salons I checked with in town and I was a little nervous because this job required taking off most of the train, shortening the dress by several inches, taking in the hips, waist and bust, resetting the bustline and making sure all lace and appliques stayed cohesive. Bridal salons will tell you regular tailors can't handle the complicated work that bridal gowns require and I'm sure this is the case for some tailors-but not for Hickman Tailors. In about 11 weeks I went back to try on the dress and it is PERFECT. Completely, totally perfect and about $600 cheaper than the quotes I was getting from bridal salons. It fits just like we talked about, it's the exact length we discussed and the lace and appliques are exactly as they should be. It's exactly what I envisioned in my mind and while I knew from past experience that she knew what she was doing I had never taken such a big job to her before and was a little apprehensive-this was not a quick cut and chop on a too-long satin dress. This was a lot of complicated work, as I kept hearing from numerous bridal salon seamstresses. I will never doubt this woman again and will take anything and everything I need tailored her way for as long as she's open for business. I realize this is a glowing, no-faults review, but in 7 years of doing business with Hickman Tailors I have never been let down. The prices are insanely reasonable, the turnaround time is generally very fast and the work is impeccable. She knows the human body so well she even helps with any ideas or thoughts you have, suggesting things that really make a garment work well for your body. I cannot recommend her highly enough and have no doubt that anyone who trusts her with their clothing will be equally impressed.
