Cathy did a very nice job adding my bustle points to my wedding dress and raising the hem. Of course my wedding address was a big deal and it was lace so I was nervous to have someone work on it. It turned out wonderful. I greatly appreciated the service at my door due to all the other things I had to do for the wedding.

If you are looking for a tailor/seamstress in the Lafayette area, I highly recommend Tailor To Go! Cathy is very professional, yet laid back and very easy to work with. She has been sewing for many years and has a ton of experience. The best part is that her pricing is totally reasonable AND she comes to you!! Personally, I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed and altered in a few places. She came to my house, took measurements, and then took the dress with her. It was ready one week later, where she then dropped it off and ensured it fit properly! I enjoyed every minute of working with Cathy, and if I need any other items altered, she is who I will choose - no questions asked. Thank you, Cathy!

I don't know how she completed it, but she was able to get it all done in just a couple of days. The dress looks incredible, and it was a fraction of the cost of the dress shop! My entire family is very impressed with the custom sewing work that Cathy Gurley provides. We are in love with the custom ottoman cover she sewed for our media room. Cathy chose the dark grey fabric (a cool, edgy geometric pattern with a hint of Art Deco) that required complicated matching based on the four seams that had to be lined up on top of the ottoman. Our ottoman is round and the pattern is geometric, so imagine how hard that must have been, yet the pattern matches perfectly. She also created a drawstring on the underside of the ottoman so that it can be removed and laundered, when needed. Cathy also created a gorgeous cosplay Frozen costume for my daughter. Cathy chose the fabrics and developed a custom pattern to create the dress. We intend to hire Cathy for future sewing projects. And we hope to hire her to give our daughters sewing lessons since they both want to do more cosplay in the future. I highly recommend Cathy for any tailoring or sewing projects!

She does not take shortcuts and takes the time to do it right the first time. Cathy did a professional job, taking time with measurements and the workmanship was excellent. The shirts were completed in the time stated. The workmanship was excellent. Highly recommend!

Cathy recently did work for me and I can't express how impressed I was with the quality of work that was done. I had woman's suit with pants that needed taken in and the jacket that need minor alterations. She completed my suit in reasonable time and had ironed and ready to go. It fit like a glove! Additionally, I had a winter jacket that needed the buttons tightened and one replaced. She did an amazing job at matching the thread. She is very professional, well priced, and worth every penny. Would use her again in the future!
