I used this place for my sister-in-laws wedding in July 2013. I didn't need anything major, just the bust taken in a little and the bottom hemmed. It had no detail to work around it, just flat satin. I did need it done in under 3 weeks so she charged me for a rush job. I don't know if that is normal for an alterations place to say it is "rush" if they have 3 weeks to work with but I had tried two other places and couldn't get in contact with them so this was my last option. As I said the dress was fairly simple. Ankle length satin with a hidden hem that had no embellishments and a flat satin bust that did not contain any type of breast support. It also had good side seams that shouldn't have been difficult to use as a point to take in the bust. She didn't have the dress ready until two days before the wedding. When I went in to try it on the actual seamstress was not there and the dress still was not right. The bust wasn't taken in enough even though she fitted me in the dress when I went in, all the while grouching at me because I told her I was not wearing a bra with the dress. I truthfully believe she altered the dress wrong on purpose in an attempt to make me wear a bra. Also I don't believe she took any off the hem length even though she charged me for it. It hit the floor at the same spot it did before I took it to her. I tripped over the dress walking down the aisle. It was ridiculous that after taking the shoes I was wearing with the dress, getting fitted while wearing dress and shoes together and paying an outrageous $90 for a very poor alteration I still wasn't able to wear the dress for more than an hour. Since the seamstress wasn't there when I went for my final try on and because the wedding was in two days I was told that there wasn't enough time to make more alterations. I paid $150 for the dress so paying over half of what it was worth for a bad alteration is unacceptable but what can a person do when they need the dress and have only two days. I will never use this business again and would NOT recommend it to anyone.
