I had dresses here and they are so very behind with prom alterations, they neglected to complete my dresses on time. Then when i asked for them back, they gave me a hard time to get my own property back! If they cannot keep up, then do not take on more promises!

I heard about her, when she altered my nieces prom dresses and they told me she worked miracles. I ordered my wedding dress, months ago, but didn't recieve it until 3 weeks before my wedding. Due to the size, I was sent, she basically had to remake my delicate lace dress. She had to take sleeves off, to alter the shoulder hem, had to take in bust, waist, hips, and a hem at the bottom. She did this in 2 weeks! She had me come in, to it try on, to see if any more alterations were needed. It was perfect after the first fitting. I expected to pay a premium price, for having to rush it, but I did not! Reasonable price, excellent work, and awesome speed!

The poorest customer service I have ever experienced. Take your business elsewhere. The staff is rude, shameless and they lack integrity. They are also not open to any feedback so I doubt they will improve.

I used Lucy for 2 wedding dresses and alterations for many designer clothes, and all jobs were meticulously sewn. I was there mid-September and it seemed different. After asking a few more questions, I learned LUCY NO LONGER OWNS THE SHOP! When I went to pick up my 2 pairs of pants and 2 dresses the bill was $66. Outrageous and the job was not very professional. The seams were not opened but just left with a new seam made and now there is extra fabric. I could have done this myself and I am not a professional seamstress!

I highly recommend NOT taking any garment here for alterations. The staff is rude and crass! If they do not intend to have available when promised, maybe they shouldn’t make those kind of promises!

Lucy is wonderful! She tailored my wedding dress beautifully and I've taken every other item of clothing needing alterations to her ever since. Of note, she opens at 10am every day, not 9am as listed here.

When Lucy owned/ran the shop, the work was absolutely incredible. The new owners never have the work done when they say they will and the quality is terrible. Pant legs two different lengths and now a coat I paid $150 to have relined that can’t be worn because the lining arm holes are half the size of the coat’s. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES TO THIS SHOP.

I dropped off brand new pants to be hemmed. I literally removed the tags before dropping them off. I had never worn them before. When I picked up my pants, there were holes all over the pants like a small animal had been chewing on my pants. To make matters worse, they refused to take responsibility. I had been a customer for over five years and I will never go back. I understand things happen, but their refusal to take responsibility sealed the deal for me.

Brides with wedding dresses beware! I wish I had never taken my wedding dress here!! Absolute disaster and if you are looking for an alteration to your wedding dress I advise you go any where but here!!!! I had a very simple dress and Lucy was not very personable at my fitting but seemed competent and said she could take it in a little (it fit almost perfect already) and add cups and a bustle. When I returned the dress was waaaay too tight and I could barely fit into it. When I explained it was so uncomfortable, I couldn't breath and was worried and noted the now crease in my back skin that wasn't there before she simply said it had to be like that and that is the way the dress was supposed to be. It needed to be tight. But it almost fit perfect before and only need to be taken in a small amount on the top. She even struggled to get me in it and I thought the zipper was going to break. Again I told her it seemed too tight and she showed me how to have a bridesmaid spread out back skin (honestly people I am not a big girl size 4-6) that was now ceasing like a butt crack. I was appalled and she said that is what girls do. Since the dress was too tight the lace under my arms wasn't laying flat anymore and curling under my arms... a part she wasn't even altering and she said to just tape it down!!!!! Never have I ever heard anyone doing that for their wedding dress! She also mentioned that it would loosen up over time because I looked uncomfortable and not to gain any weight!!! I didn't even know what to say because she wasn't acknowledging the mistake. My simple beautiful dress that had already almost been perfect was not waaay too tight and looked awful! After all that, the breast cups were white (not my dress color) and simple stitched on top of the material inside the dress so when you moved or bent over you could see them. They are supposed to go inside the dress! I asked if that was right and she said yes that's how they look.The bustle was done wrong, she never added buttons to the bottom layer so it still dragged behind the dress and the top tulle layer had a string sewen through it that had no chance of holding up the dress and the wrong color buttons on the back of my dress!!! After the "it's supposed to look this way and don't gain weight comment" I paid for my dress and left and cried all the way home. I took it back to the store I bought it from out of state to have them look at it and we hired a new seamstress! It was clear the dress was taken in way too much ... over an entire size to be exact, they were afraid it would ripe. We knew how much because she simply shoved the extra material into the bodice then cut the overlying lace and GLUED it down on the dress!!! Who does that!!! The breast cups were of course wrong as was the bustle unfinished and terrible craftsman's ship. Not to mention all the money I am out for the alterations and to fix the dress that had already been near perfect when I bought it.. what's worse is the stress and fear it caused!!! No one should ever have to go through that ever! I had a very simple dress that didn't need much of anything and she destroyed it and tried to ignore it when I asked about things claiming it was supposed to be that way. She didn't want to or know how to fix it! I felt so taken advantage of and when I saw the horrible work she did on my dress as a real seamstress took it apart and showed me I couldn't stop crying at how someone would ruin a wedding dress! The one dress a woman looks forward to her whole life. I thank god for the woman that could fix it and pray no one else will have this happen to them. I can't imagine if I had an elaborate more detailed dress.... disaster. Brides steer clear for your own well being and pocket book!

VERY impressed!! I had a long formal dress for a wedding that ripped prior to the wedding in the netting overlay... Oh AND the rip caused the sequins to fall off.. They were able to reconstruct the bottom of the dress, sequins, rip and all, so I couldn't even tell the rip had happened! Fabulous work!! I highly recommend them for all alteration needs!
