Had a horrible experience here. Sent in my jacket to get it altered with a new stripe on it. Simple job or so I figured. A week later I went back and the stripe was sideways not straight and did not look uniform with the other stripes. I asked them to fix it. They took another week and went back to grab it and looked better but didn't look very professional. I told them I am very disappointed and they are not lined up. Jackie told me to not be picky it isn't easy. Well telling me that really made me angry, I hired them to alter that jacket the way I asked and was dissatisfied with the results and asked for a discount. She said no the job was done. I will never return to this place and I brought my jacket elsewhere to get the fix they should of done for me since I paid so much for it and waited two weeks. Buyer beware they are not as friendly as you think and they won't work with you. My jacket is essentially botched now and it would of been cheaper to buy a new one with the stripes already on it. Thanks but no thanks.

Jackie performed the alterations to my wedding dress. I bought a non-traditional gown from Nordstrom (off the rack), and Jackie made it look beautiful! The alterations she made included a French bustle, adding a modesty panel, shortening the gown, and adding more material around the bust. These alterations took 3 appointments in total (dropping off the dress, one fitting, and picking up the dress). I appreciate that Jackie was honest about what would look good on my body type and with the type of dress I selected. I took her recommendations and was very pleased with the end result. Jackie has 40+ years of experience in this field, and it is evident in all that she does. Also, her prices are very reasonable. I drove 40+ minutes from the South Loop to have Jackie work on my dress, and would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Took my wedding dress to be altered by Jackie and I couldn't be happier. She is pleasant to be around and she did such a wonderful job! My dress was one of those fussier ones with lots of lace and beading and she was able to fit it perfectly to my body without losing a single detail. She also bustled my dress in a way that was both beautiful and easy for my mother to do. She's incredibly affordable in comparison to other alteration specialists out there. One woman quoted me $600 for everything I wanted done - Jackie did it for $180. She also works really quickly! Brides on a time and budget crunch, this woman is definitely for you! Cash only.

Jackie is amazing!! I took my wedding dress to her for alterations and I am thrilled with the results. My dress is fairly simple and only needed to be hemmed. She also sewed my bridal sash into an intricate bow an put a hidden hook and eye closure on it for ease of use. Those two things only cost $85! And she did it so fast! On top of that she just had the most wonderful attitude ever. She was so sweet and so friendly and she really comes across as excited to work with the brides... she made me even more excited for my wedding day. I drove 50 minutes to her shop for this, and it was absolutely worth it! I just wish I lived closer so I could bring in all my minor alterations jobs to her too.

I won't ever take my tailoring needs anywhere else. They normally have fast turn around times and excellent prices! I will NEVER take my clothes anywhere else but here, even if I'm in a time crunch and she can't fit me in on short notice I won't go anywhere else.

Jackie altered both my wedding dress and my spouse's. It's a little nerve wracking to leave your wedding dress with someone, especially if you haven't had anything tailored by them before, but both came out wonderful. Mine just needed a bustle and to be taken in on top, but my spouse's needed a little more work done and both came out great. The bodice on her dress was sheer and Jackie did a great job adding a liner that matched her skin tone. It's cash only but the pricing is extremely good- much cheaper than getting them done in-house at a bridal salon. We took our dresses in about 8 weeks before our wedding and that was plenty of time for both of them. I definitely recommend Jackie to any other brides!
