One of the best places for dry cleaning and Alterations in Evanston.To start with is the prices, in a city like Evanston, you would think the prices are so high, well the answer is no, I've been traveling in many states for the last 5 months, and Quality Alterations prices are the most reasonable so far. The quality of thier Alteration is the best, they can do anything you ask for, I've been recomended all my freinds to go to this place, it turn to be their best experience in Altering thier clothes. One of the things I look for anywhere I go, is the customer service level, Quality Alterations staff are very nice, very professional and highly qualified.

Let me start off by saying that these girls are amazing!! I came across this place after I spend the weekend in tears because David's Bridal messed up my wedding dress. With less then a month before my wedding I was in full panic mode.I called so many places before i came across Quality. Many places quoted prices that were more then my dress it self. I called the place and instantly asked if i could send a picture of what i wanted done to dress. They gave a number and email. They told me they could do it but needed to see the dress. Unfortunately i am a teacher and couldn't make it until 6:30 and they were very accommodating. I showed up with my dress. They spend a good amount of time explaining to me what needed to be done. They were very honest about the expectations for the dress because of what i wanted done. I appreciate people being honest as opposed to telling me what i want to hear. They started right away on my dress. They pinned it and asked me to come back in two weeks for a fitting. Because what i wanted done to the dress was not an easy job they made sure it looked AMAZING. I had to come back for 2 more fittings to make sure the dress looked great. I couldn't be happier with the way my dress turned out. The price was more then reasonable for the amount of work they put in for the dress. These girls saved the day. I cant wait to put up the wedding pictures for you guys to see what an amazing job they did.

Wow! I was blown away by the great work Quality Alterations did. My wedding dress was actually a formal gown that I bought at Nordstrom. It was love at first sight! There was an additional layered skirt that I was hoping to detach from the waist and turn into a removable skirt so it was easier to transition to dancing mode. The ladies at Quality Alterations scheduled appointments for fittings to make sure they got everything right. Not to mention it was a very fair price! Thank you so much! You helped make my special day even better! p.s. I got married in January 2017 and forgot to leave a review then. I was just browsing my wedding photos and I remembered that I needed to share my story for other brides to see because I choose Quality Alterations because of reviews!

I've been here a few times and it has been fine. However, last time I went to get pants hemmed, they hemming was really shoddy and unraveled the first time I wore the pants! I went back in to explain the situation, and they blamed the material of the pants (which were just dress pants...). They fixed the unraveled leg, but it is already starting to unravel again. I haven't even worn them again. Then when I was leaving they asked how much I was going to pay for them to fix the hemming they made a mistake on! No way. I wanted to keep supporting local business, but not coming back here again.

I came to Quality Alterations today to inquire about a skirt. They said they don't work with leather, which is not the reason for this bad review. The problem? I witnessed a verbal altercation between the woman (most likely the owner) and the man whom I originally asked for help. The man was very polite. Another customer walked in and the woman tended to him, so I asked the man a follow-up question on what he thought was possible, as an experienced individual in the industry. The woman then proceeded to scream at him to stop talking to me and help out "other customers" (you know, the one person she was already chatting with). This poor guy was only providing good customer service. He was doing his job. From the way she yelled at him, I could definitely tell he goes through this daily, if not every few minutes. Needless to say, I was disturbed by this. I told her the man did nothing wrong. He was only trying to help. She seemed unsatisfied by this. I felt sorry for the man. I left and hoped he'd get a different job somewhere else that wouldn't treat him like dirt. I won't be coming back. No money here is going to support a business that doesn't care to treat their employees like people, not slaves. +1 star for stellar service from the man, -4 stars for a boss who lacks basic human decency.

I have been going to Quality Alterations for many years and their tailoring is always impeccable. Of course they do cuffs and take in at the waist, etc, but what really impresses me is what they have done to tailor my fine suits. Recently, I found $1200 designer suit on clearance at a great price, but it was too big in the shoulders, chest and sleeves. They advised me on what needed to be done and quoted me a great price. To be sure the fit was perfect, they called me in for a fitting to get the shoulders pinned just right. I now have this beautiful suit at a fraction of the price I would pay and it fits me perfectly! I take all my shirts and dry cleaning in to Quality Alterations and the staff members make my experience super easy, and their prices are very reasonable.

Ekram is a miracle worker!! With only a few days until my cousins wedding, I needed someone to tailor my dress ASAP! She tailored my bridesmaid dress in less than 48hrs and did a FLAWLESS job!!!! I have been going to Quality Alterations for all my alteration needs and my family/friends have also started coming here. The most important alteration I came here for was for my wedding dress (married 09/21/19) and Ekram (the owner) did a fantastic job. My dress is super detailed and I needed the length to be shortened in the front so this was no easy feat! I also asked her to add bustles to the dress. I came in for my first fitting to make sure we liked the length before she cut the dress as well as where we should add the bustles. At my final fitting, she added extra details to the dress to hide any stitching to it to make sure it was perfect, I couldn't even tell it was altered! It was absolutely beautiful from the length to the bustles, the work done was amazing. If you are looking for a place to get your dream dress or any type of clothing altered at a reasonable price, I recommend Ekram and her team 100%. Thank you Ekram for making sure my dress was perfect!
